( into each life some rain must fall )

it started out quietly, and then, quite suddenly, you're caught in a storm. time to find cover. nothing much to do but to wait it out.
scenarios listed below for those who want 'em.
i. WHERE;
001 PLAYGROUND - well, you can try to hide under the slide or maybe in the jungle gym... at least you're some place fun?
002 PARK - always happens, caught outside trying to take advantage of the weather... and it ends up pulling a fast one on you.
003 STORE FRONT - better hope they have an awning you can take advantage of.
004 THE BEACH - not exactly the best place to be during a rainstorm, however it is possible to get caught in a sudden storm.
005 WILD CARD - anyway you want it.
ii. HOW;
001 TREE - not the best cover, but it'll have to do, stay close to the roots and you won't get too wet.
002 UMBRELLA - most conventional... kinda boring. But it works.
003 NEWSPAPER - not permanent, but it'll have to do. good luck.
004 BAG - well... y'gotta do what you gotta do.
005 NONE - you know what. you're a rebel. you don't need cover. screw convention.
006 WILD CARD - that's the way you need it.
iii. WHY;
001 REJECTED - welp. rejection sucks. and no one will see you crying in the rain.
002 WAITING - for the bus? for someone else? for some revelation? what are you waiting for.
003 MELANCHOLY - sometimes the best place to feel a bit down is out in the rain.
004 HAPPINESS - is everything going your way? are you singing a refrain while walking down the lane? just singin. singin' in the rain.
005 ANGER - WELL YOU KNOW WHAT. SCREW YOU TOO RAIN.
006 WILD CARD - anyway you want it.
>> POST with your character
>> TAG others, use rng if you need to, or just make up your own scenario if you want!
>> HAVE FUN.

He realizes, perhaps, that he has Esme to thank for his brighter outlike on such a cloudy, drizzly day.
It was just a slight drizzle at first, showing no need for umbrella's - with Alice gone for the weekend, they simply had to trust the local weatherman. And a casual walk in the park as husband and wife was something they haven't done in some time.
It's a shame the sudden downpour had to put a damper on that.
His sopping hair proves to be something a nuisance, constantly dropping in front of his eyes. They fight against it, finding his wife's already equally soaked form.]
Perhaps we'd best get out of here.

Besides. Everything always smells so much nicer when it's raining. Cleaner. Fresher. So when her soggy husband turns a waning eye towards her own dripping form, she really isn't the slightest bit put out.]
I'm sure if I catch anything you'll take good care of me.
[She's taunting him, goading ever so gently, and all the while making sure her own bangs (which are considerably longer, thank you) stay out of her own eyes.
And maybe instead of pulling him along by the hand, she can reach a free one up and comb back his own blonde mop, out of his eyes and out of his way.]

Not that any of them seem to mind. Not with how it's just making Esme laugh against the 'attack' of water on her face, drenching her further and completely ruining the hard work done for her husband's hair.]
Tempting enough to stay? [Now she lifts their held hand, presses his fingers near her mouth.] You can always go in. It just means I won't get to watch you peel these soggy things off.
[She makes a little tug at his quickly soaking sweater, easily catching the light shlup of fabric against skin. No harm in the occasional tease, right? Just because they were married didn't mean they couldn't act like teenagers in mind and .. what not.]

But up goes her delicate brow at his return quip, lips pulling that much wider, dimpling her cheeks. She steps in, not even tempted to try taking her hand back.]
I think it's fair enough to say we'd both be doing a bit of ... both. [Watching, undressing. You know. It isn't like they both aren't pretty much drenched by this point.]

Of course, silence is never meant to last long.]
I don't think it's even this terrible in London. [Casual small talk, meant to distract and keep them occupied. Even though he mumbles the words, there's still a certain trace of fondness as he speaks of his place of birth.]

We should visit again soon.
[She loved London for its art. It's architecture. It's food, though she could merely sample the smells, and less the taste. It was foreign and familiar all at once. They'd been many a time over the past years, and she'd always loved it.]
