Trapped in a Room Full of Puppies Meme

TRAPPED IN A ROOM FULL OF PUPPIES
This is pretty self-explanatory. Somehow, you and somebody else are trapped in a room full of puppies. There is no door. There are no windows. Just you, another person and about twenty or so rambunctious puppies.  You can do pretty much anything you want in the room, but remember that there are twenty or so rambunctious puppies who love licking you and jumping on you and treating you as a personal chew toy.  So yeah.  I'd recommend keeping your clothes on.

Bonus points will be given to people who specify what breed of puppy is in the room.  Super bonus points will be given to people who link to pictures of said breed of puppy.  Because c'mon you guys.  Puppies.

Kaidan's actually pretty fond of dogs, for all that dogs don't really figure large in your life when you're going from ship to space station to ship again. But just because you can't have them doesn't mean you don't like them, and he's got some fond childhood memories of a really awesome Siberian Husky from the days before biotics and BAaT.

This is not a room full of husky puppies. This is a room full of varren puppies. Tame ones, at least, and they're scrambling over each other with the enthusiasm of young predators everywhere, including the two busy having a loud and squeaky standoff over what was once his datapad.

Another has decided that combat boots are the best thing in the world, and is busy slobbering over his feet. He scoops that particular baby fishdog up and addresses it with properly Majorly command. (At least if you're trying command puppies.) "Those come out of my pay, y'know. Although I'm getting pretty sure I've been had about this whole ancient Tuchankan custom, so maybe I'll just get Wrex to cough up replacement credits. What do you think?"

The pup's opinion on the matter is that Alliance uniforms (and faces) look better with varren spit on them.

"You should have brought a ball," the Professor is tossing a ball for a female varren puppy who keeps bringing it back. He suspects that the ball is going eventually eat the ball.

"Suspect we will need a fresh change of clothing." He has one puppy who is kind trying to become one with his lab coat. He also decided that he wanted a shower if the puppies become as friendly with him as they are the Major.

Privately he also admits that they are cute.

"Wrex's suggestions were all running to pyjaks and pyjak meat. I figured I'd improvise-- ow, no," quoth the major, as puppy teeth find their way past his uniform's sleeve at this lapse in his attention.

He attempts to scruff the misbehaving puppy, discovers that varren don't really scruff like the domesticated young predators of Earth, and settles for scooping it up and administering belly rubs. This, at least, appears to hold universal appeal.

"Shower and medi-gel, at this rate. You seem to be making a friend, though."

Lyall's trousers are getting a similar treatment, and the werewolf looks a little pained. He's not exactly interacting with the young varren, he's just kind of... watching it, as if quietly lamenting whatever decision brought him here.

Oh, right, Kaidan. He asks carefully, "And what exactly did you say these creatures are...?" Because he'd heard "puppies" and this really isn't any kind of puppy he recognized. It is, in fact, even less appealing than a real puppy-- and Lyall, for all he is a werewolf, is really more of a cat person.

"Varren," Kaidan answers, wincing and trying to dodge the varren slobber. (It's not revolting, not at this age when the pups are young and not fed carrion. It still has an undeniably alien feel to it.) "They're, uh, scavengers, on a lot of worlds. But krogan and some vorcha domesticate them, which is how you get a room full of these little guys. Shepard likes them."

Implicit in that statement is the fact that Kaidan's opinion on the creatures is still indefinite.

Although the tug-of-war over in the corner is pretty cute.

"Oh, is that how you wound up here." It isn't really a question, but a rather knowing look. Shepard could get Kaidan to do all sorts of things, couldn't she? He then asks dryly, as he tries to disengage the one attempting to chew a hole in his trousers: "Tell me she didn't sign you up for pup-sitting duties all day? Or is this more of a freak accident, you winding up in here with all of them?"

He's teasing, for the most part. Though his clothes will be thoroughly laundered after this, you can bet on that.
