( Tessa has been caught up in watching the night sky as well, leaning against the wall of the church, huddled in a winter coat that's too large for her. )

Oh. Hello. ( Looking down at the cat with a smile. )

[Mao jumps a little when the girl talks to him -- sloppy. He should be paying more attention to his surroundings.

But she's a pretty little thing, and doesn't appear to be a threat. And stars -- real stars -- are still something to marvel at. So he lingers and looks back up at the night sky.

A comet falls across the sky, reminding him of other Contractors who have died and whose stars had fallen.]

( She has no idea what goes on in the head of this cat-- she was only enjoying the quiet, the time under the stars because for all that she prefers to be inside, there's something romantic about this, a beauty to the stars.
