 This is the IC version of the The Role Call Meme



[The Rules]

1. Find the thread for the canons/fandoms of your character. If you don't see one, make one!

2. Post with all of your character accounts. Yes, all of them. Throwing in your entire musebox is totally fine in this meme. (Please write down the name and canon/fandom of the character in the subject line, and also if they're canon, AU, crossover or OC, etc.)

3. AU characters are totally OK. Crossover/fusion characters may post at all the fandoms/canons their crossover/fusion is derived from. Fandom OCs may post at their fandom/canon's thread. Original Story/Universe OCs will have their own thread.

4. A big party is going on, with a big buffet, dancing, etc etc etc. Tag around all over the place and mingle  - Canonmates, non-canonmates, everything is OK!

Why, oh, why, do you look so glum? It is a party, you know.

[bemoans]

Why does everyone keep asking me that?

[stepsisters]

Because you have one of the grumpiest faces I have ever seen. ( There's a huff as if this should be obvious. ) At a party, no less!

[bemoans]

[ because i have no social skills and this frustrates me. ]

Because. There is much on my mind and - and I simply can't enjoy myself at this time.

[stepsisters]

Have you at least had a drink?

Perhaps you'd ought to have a drink.

I'm going to get you a drink.

( With a small, almost pitying, shake of her head, she hurries off to fetch beverages for the both of them. )

Here. Perhaps this will help. You absolutely need to lighten up.

[bemoans]

But - but -- !

[ but the other lady's gone before she can fully formulate a protest and she sulks, flopping back into her seat in the corner. ]

What's in it? Is this going to make me feel funny?

[stepsisters]

I don't know how you expect me to know. Drink it and find out! Goodness. ( She takes a dainty sip of her own. )

[bemoans]

[ she sniffs it with a discerning look, casting a suspicious glance towards anastasia, and then finally sips and then another. ]

It's - it's good!

[stepsisters]

Of course it is, darling. I expected no less. ( There's a knowing smile as she downs the rest – in a completely ladylike fashion, of course. ) See? Parties aren't all doom and gloom. You just need to get your mind off of all of your burdens.

[bemoans]

I have many.

[ sniffle, even as she takes another sip. the punch is decidedly good, but she can't help but feel a tingly sensation with each drink. is she swaying?

well, no, she's quite still. the room must be moving. ] Burdens. I think that's what I have. What did you say?

[stepsisters]

( There will be some eyebrow furrowing at that. Goodness, she's barely even had any to drink! ) Yes, burdens. Pray tell, what burdens aggravate you so?

[bemoans]

[ fidget fidget ]

Oh, I'd rather not unload my burdens onto anyone else today. I think I've already upset Aurora. I - I don't think that's the best way to go about making friends.

[stepsisters]

Oh, come on now. You simply can't tease me like that. ( PEER PRESSURE PEER PRESSURE. Anastasia loves a bit of gossip. )

[bemoans]

I'm simply n-not happy.

Mostly, I should - well, it would be nice if someone would find my brother. He's my only family in the entire world. What's left of it anyways!

[stepsisters]

( There's a deep sigh. ) Believe me, you're luckier than you think. Siblings simply aren't worth the trouble half of the time.

[bemoans]

[ rapunzel downs the rest of her drink and shuts her eyes tightly, licking her lips as it makes its way down her throat. ]

I've never had anyone. Not - not really. You're lucky to have siblings you know.

[stepsisters]

( She lets out a small 'hmph'. ) I would trade with you in a heartbeat if I could, darling.

[bemoans]

Oh, no, no, you mustn't say such things, no. There's always someone to grant a wish without your consent and -- always a price. Always.

[stepsisters]

I'm not so sure if I believe that. It seems quite farfetched. Always is such a strong word, you know.

[bemoans]

[ of all the things she doesn't know, rapunzel at least knows this much ]

It's the truth. I was raised by a witch.

[stepsisters]

A witch? ( She bursts into a fit of laughter, covering her mouth when she realizes. ) Oh, oh, please excuse me, that was quite rude. I'm - going to fetch us more drinks!

( When she returns, drinks in hand, she clears her throat, deathly serious now. ) So. A witch, you say.

[bemoans]

I do say! I do say! It - it's dreadful. She never wanted me to be happy.

[stepsisters]

( You'll have to forgive her – she's quite the skeptic. If only she knew about Cinderella's dealings with the Dark One himself. )

Oh, you poooor dear. ( She frowns, which is easily remedied with a sip of her punch. ) I've learned that it is far more efficient to create your own happiness. You mustn't let others ... control you and whatnot. Even if they say they have some silly little magic.

[bemoans]

I don't know.

You try living in a tower for the first seventeen years of your life with one window and no doors. You see how it is. [ huff puff sip. and another sip. and another. ]

[stepsisters]

That sounds dreadful. And just a bit unsanitary. ( She wrinkles her nose in displeasure at the mere thought. )
