starry night meme

under the stars
it's fall and though the night is chilly the sky sure is fucking beautiful tonight. whether you have a campfire set up, are snuggled under a blanket, or are wearing an ugly yet comfortable sweater, you have a great view of a clear fall sky. if you're lucky, you may see a shooting star or two, or perhaps a meteor shower that's actually impressive. thank goodness you have someone to share this moment with.
unless it's with your mortal enemy then let's just hope they don't ruin this peaceful moment for you.
this is an rng-free fluff meme, not necessarily romantic but it can be if you want. feel free to post with a set up, or do your usual blank post and the person responding sets the scene. have at it.

"Enjoying the view?" It was possible she was making note of the stars or the fact that now she was towering above him. Either one worked.

His gaze dropped slightly from the stars down to that beautiful face. The light from the moon made her hair golden.
"I was and I still am," he said with a grin. "Most would change their shoes before coming out here. You'll ruin them."

Years of hiding in the shadows and trying not to be noticed, Erica was going to enjoy everything she possibly could about her newfound circumstances.
She did however, find a moment to lift her foot and toe at the sole of his shoe. "Don't fall asleep out here. There are probably ticks." She didn't even want to think about the mess that could be to get healed over. Their little heads trapped under their skin as the wound healed with the insect loving the few seconds of blood it got from them.
Her expression shifted, "Why are you out here anyway?"
no subject
Shifting to sit up a bit more, try and curl his fingers around her ankle. "Come sit with me then, keep me company so I don't pass out," he said, amusement tinging his tones. "And I'm pretty sure if I picked up anything out here, I can survive it."
In the end, that was what mattered. Not what he had to go through, but what he survived. Maybe with time, with feeling stronger and powerful in his own right, he wouldn't always look at life as survival. With the Argents around though, not likely to happen any time soon.
He shrugged. "Just wanted to get out, think about some things." He glanced up. "Full moon's close."

Her gaze settled to the spot beside him, the space against the tree. This was definitely going to send her jeans into the washing machine. Sighing, she complied to his request. "Only because if you get killed in your sleep, I'll have to tell Derek that I abandoned you."
Her stride allowed for a few steps before she turned to sit beside him. Once seated, her elbow pushed at his side lightly, trying to claim more space than she needed.

Yet she sat down and he wriggled like scooting over to make room for her. "I'm not that easily snuck up on. I just didn't see a reason to hide from you," he said, nudging her back before wiggling again and moving aside. "You just want the ground already dried because my ass is wet," he grumped, not all upset.
Leaning back against the tree, the looked up at the sky once more. "I find myself marking time by the moons. How much time do I have? How many more days? Will I make it or end up in two pieces in the ground," he muttered softly, realizing just how morbid that turn of thought was.
no subject
"And don't worry, the ground is still damp." She can definitely feel it soaking through denim. It's not a pleasant feeling.
no subject
It was there though. The thoughts. He just didn't voice them. Only alone did he let himself think about them this much. Only to her and Boyd might he whisper about it, talk to someone that could understand the choice they'd made and what it meant.
"Sorry. Want me to mention how hot your tits look in moonlight or something? Take the edge of my mind having dumb thoughts?" Another joke, though partly serious in the offer.
no subject
"Only if it's true," she replied bluntly. She could understand the frustration they all felt, the choices they made suddenly coming to a much darker future than advertised. Derek had made some pretty big promises and now they were caught up in a turf war that they knew they were definitely not prepared for.
Musing to herself for a moment, she glanced down to her chest. "My shirt isn't even that tight." As if that would excuse him from not looking at her rack.
no subject
His gaze slid from her face down to her chest and then back, going slow, trying not to grin.
"I stand by my words."
He fell silent again, watching her instead of the sky. "You thought about what could get you through the full moon," he asked softly.
no subject
Her expression sobered slightly, taking his tone to heart for a brief moment. "I hadn't been, but I know I should at least try to think of something." She knew ignoring it wasn't going to work. It would come and she would have to be restrained or worse unless she could control it or find a way to not let it control her.
no subject
"You know we're there for you though. Whatever happens, I'll be there for you." It was another risk, one that he was willing to take without a second thought. She was pack, and he would do what he had to. Of course, she mauled him and he'd never let her live it down either.
no subject
"My ass is going to be numb." She said it quietly, just something to cut through all the serious of the conversation.
no subject
“Yeah well, I’m sure you’ll survive,” he murmured, not opening his eyes. “Wait, was that trying to get me to offer to rub it and warm it up for you?”
no subject
Of course, she didn't actually make any effort to get up, if anything she leaned against him a bit more.

Sometimes he thought of going to his dad's house, curling up under the blankets and sleeping there until he literally could not stay asleep. Maybe it would be days. The thought appealed but he never did it.
"Come on then. Let's head back."
no subject
"I walked here." Mostly because she could.
no subject
"Yeah, so did I. What made you come looking for me?"
no subject
"I knew you'd be out here. It gets too loud in the warehouse."
no subject
"Yeah, it does. Just sometimes need to be able to think."

Isaac was part of the pack though. She knew him, she trusted him and if he was gonna keep letting his mouth say things his hands weren't going to cash in on she was going to have to get her head clear.
"Nothing wrong with silence," Erica remarked. Silence had been something she'd gotten her fill of, but she still saw the merit it held, the value in being able to just be alone. "Sorry if I ruined it."
no subject
"I'm glad you came out here. Probably wasn't my smartest thing coming out here, and you took a risk following me. Not your smartest move," he added, still caught between being an ass and pack. "But I'm glad you did."
One arm slid around her waist, leaning in to press a soft kiss to her brow if Erica didn't go off and hit him for it.
no subject
"You can keep your irresistible charm bottled up for another night, Isaac."
no subject
"I don't know. I might not make it. May have to turn it on someone else."
no subject
Because, her ass... Well, it's not numb, but her jeans are dirty.
