A soulmate (or soul mate) is believed by some to be the person with whom one has a feeling of deep or natural affinity, similarity, love, sex, intimacy, sexuality, spirituality, or compatibility. In our world, the concept of soulmates is quaint, but frankly antiquidated. But somewhere out there, in the vast cosmos, there is a world that still values this tradition. No, not just values. Society is practically built around it. After all, they've found the powers of the soulmates. When they're together, both halves of the whole can find a peace that is desired by all; not only that, either, but also the two can unlock the. Everyone is believed to have a soulmate, and those who have yet to find there's a sense of emptiness that cannot be filled by other distractions. There are few limits on who can be destined for each other. The fates have often chosen people completely opposite of each other, some even on opposing sides or factions. Attraction between soulmates is instantaneous upon the first meeting, though relationship styles can very. It's almost always romantic, but sometimes not sexual, despite that usually being the case. Some even say that procreation can only be done by soulmates, but that's only a rumor and highly untested. Yet this bond is not always sunlight and rainbows. You'll practically feel each other emotions The problem, of course, comes in finding one (if you even want to at all, as some rebel against the system as much as they can). How many people are out there, and what's the probability of finding them in a lifetime? What if they're not in the same country or even the same planet! There's also the dilemma of having only one soulmate. Though people can have plenty of lovers, those in this world can only find true satisfaction from their other half. It's a twisted and difficult web, and sometimes unmatched people can face prejudice from those around them and the established order, but finding that one special person is said to trump all of that. It was true, really. Stiles may not have been a werewolf, or anything super special like that, but he did feel that since he had accepted Isaac really was his soul mate (seriously, seriously, who would have believed those existed?), he had felt more confident, secure about things.

Sure, some of that probably came from just having someone around, but there seemed to be an actual difference, now. Something inside of him that knew that things would be okay, as long as Isaac was around.

Which he was, right now, curled up against Stiles's side, held close by an arm around his waist. Stiles turned his head, pressing his lips to soft blonde curls, smiling.

"Love you."

Something Derek had told his three Betas early on was that the larger the pack, the stronger each individual wolf -in particular, Derek- were. What he hadn't mentioned was how finding your mate, your actual soul mate, not only did that, but helped the wolf remain calm, relaxed.

In the time since he and Stiles had embraced this, Isaac had already started learning to control his wolf on a full moon, and when in Stiles' presence, was even able to change back.

Which was why, despite it being the night before the full moon, Isaac was able to relax by his mate's side, nose tucked under his chin. "Love you too."

"Mmm...good." Stiles chuckled, letting the sound rumble in his chest as he stared out his window, at the nearly full moon. "Feeling okay?" He knew that Isaac still got antsy on the days leading up to, and on the full moon. His presence helped, but couldn't be there, always. Though he did make a concerted effort to drive back from college on the days before full moons so he could spend them with Isaac.

"M'okay. Twitchy, like... I need to run." He smiles, pressing a soft kiss to the corner of Stiles' lips. "But calmer, with you here. I always feel calmer with you here." Isaac appreciated that Stiles came back for these nights. They'd figured out early on that his control was better when he could find Stiles' heartbeat and focus on it.

"We could always go into the woods and play tag, you know." He smirked mischievously, turning his head to kiss Isaac a bit better, before settling back again. He liked being here, even if it meant he was exhausted on certain days, and had to pull extra school work. But honestly? It was worth it. He loved the damn werewolf, and this was kind of a forever thing. So small sacrifices were going to pay off in the long run.

"I can think of something else we can do..." He smiled and leaned in to steal another kiss, hauling him closer with hands on his ass. "Something more fun than tag." He nipped at his lip, growling playfully.

"Oh really?" Stiles laughed, pressed his hands into Isaac's hair, holding him closer to make the kiss linger, thoroughly exploring that mouth he knew so well. By the time he broke it, he was breathless and grinning. "And what might that be, Isaac? Hmm? A game of twister?"

Isaac laughed into the kiss, rolling to drag Stiles on top of him. "It requires a little flexibility and plenty of movement, but it isn't twister."

"Hmm...really?" He let his face fall into a mock quizzical look, shifting his hips against Isaac's purposefully. "Limbo?" He couldn't keep the grin off his face, though, letting a hand slide down Isaac's side.

Isaac moans loudly, head tilted back and hands gripping tight at Stiles' ass, pulling him closer and rolling his own hips up to meet him. "Never was good at limbo."

"Parcheesi?" Stiles couldn't keep his own moan from sounding in his throat, pressing his face into Isaac's neck, nuzzling his nose against the soft flesh for a moment, before sucking absently at a spot.
