It's too hot to touch in real life. Sexting saves lives.

what it says on the tin. leave a blank comment, include your preferences or a starter, it's all good. reply to others with a text, a dirty picture (please link all nsfw things!), misfires, misdials, drunk filthy voicemails, whatever your heart desires. |
here's that misfire you requested [not particularly sfw link]
[ Wow, Will, that's not your browser! Not even close, buddy. Better hope Gabe doesn't type that in and find the site you were trying to google for.
The delay between the texts is entirely due to Will dropping his phone in his resulting panic. ]
shit
sorry
thought that was google
it wasn't
no subject
Oh, something from Will - and something meant for google...interesting.
And that right there is a record set for the fastest a browser has ever been closed on a smart phone. Thanks Will. ]
That happens a surprising amount.
Don't worry, I didn't look it up.
[ Lying is bad, children. ]

[ Which means Gabriel looked it up. Which means Will can bury his head a little deeper in his hands for a minute while he waits to see if the world has anything else to throw his way today. ]
sorry again.
i'd explain myself but i imagine it's pretty clear why that was getting typed into google, so I'll spare both of us the play by play of my thought process.
just...sorry.
no subject
I figured it might've been a concern
Maybe
It's fine
Sounds like you're going to have a better evening than me at any rate.
[ He might be smirking. Just a little bit. A little.
He's how key a little jealous though honestly the next few hours are going to suck]no subject
i guess i deserved that
i'm at a loss as to whether or not i should just ignore that well-wish or say that yeah, i probably am going to
[ Except...wait. ]
why, is anything going on with you?
no subject
that's just a fact
having to spend the night playing meat shield at a party my boss is going to.
[ Which would be fine, if he was allowed to drink. Or actually attempt to enjoy himself, not that that'd be easy. Rich people lived in an entirely different bubble, and Gabriel would have to make a conscious effort to suppress his eye-roll reflex.
He should probably cut this conversation short and leave Will to it- and not use that phrase in the process. But his evening will also be way less bearable without having some kind of respite, not that that's up to Will to provide. ]
if I make it through til morning, it'll be a small miracle.
no subject
[ Nothing kills Will's ability to relax into this sort of evening quite like being reminded of people punching other people in the face. At this point, he's too used to interruptions to even register it as something he could ignore and push through anyway. ]
is it that risky of a job?
or are you speaking metaphorically, and it's very boring.
you know, you don't strike me as the kind of person who would seek out that kind of job.
no subject
it can be
both risky and boring
mostly boring
yeah
it's not exactly what I had in mind for myself as kid
but hey, it pays well and I'm good at it
[ 'Good at it' can also be read as 'I have a high pain threshold and am a top-of-the-line bullet sponge' but you know. Whichever. ]
no subject
Gabriel's a good enough friend that Will doesn't really feel too let down that he's focusing on this conversation more than that google search. ]
i've heard that sentiment about jobs before.
risky and boring doesn't sound too unlike being a cop.
what got you into it, though?
i'm just having trouble picturing you answering a classified ad for that.
no subject
yeah, not quite like that
I was taken in by the family I work for when I was younger
and with what I am, it seemed like the best way for me to earn my keep
after a few years it just stuck
no subject
i didn't know you worked for your family. [ 'I didn't know you were adopted', while what he wanted to say, is clearly not...really acceptable.
'with what I am', though... Will feels that like a fresh bruise, brassy plum in his mind's eye. Gabriel doesn't cut himself much slack about the werewolf aspect,
and neither does anyone else, apparently. ]
i'm sure you could get hired doing something else. not everyone is prejudiced.
no subject
Or worrying, if that's a risk. ]
Yeah; for a few years now.
[ Not technically a lie. Technically. ]
I know I could
But it's not that simple
I mean it is, but I wouldn't want to
They've been good to me
[ Another lie. One so blatant - to him at least - it's frightening how easily he said it.
Quickly, he adds; ]
Anyway
I need to go be stern and silent for a few hours
Sorry again for interrupting
no subject
Will frowns to himself, gaze stern at the wall across from himself. Buster pokes at his hand and Will absently rubs his ear. ]
it's fine, i was the one who interrupted YOU after all.
hope work is boring tonight instead of stressful.
[ He adds on, perhaps too late for Gabriel to see it before going off to work, perhaps not: ]
if you ever want to discuss options, you can talk with me if you want.
or i could recommend someone
i might not be who you want to talk to about career ideas
but just in...case.
