[ The picture does make him smile just a bit -- and just the fact that Damian would see something like that, take a picture, and send it to him. It makes him feel good, like they're an actual father and son for once. ]

For the record, Dick's done the top of the Golden Gate picture already. You'll have to get a bit more creative if you want to impress Alfred.

( a weird relationship that is still being adjusted to on all fronts, but... they're doing alright, really. it could be so much worse than brief text conversations and the stilted air between two people constantly trying to prove things to one another. in the end, it's easier to climb the tallest building in the world than say happy father's day out loud, but damian does both.

bruce gets a magnet, too. and some really awesome engraved cuff links that pack a round house kick of an electrical charge when twisted just right. they drink little espressos and damian shows him and alfred the vertigo inducing pictures from on top of the burj khalifa and is really proud of himself. it's a good day all around. )
