Six More Weeks of Winter, eh?
❄ it's quiet and the snow is beautiful tonight ❄
a winter open meme

snowfall
stage i none, streets are already blanketed in white.
stage ii very light and intermittent.
stage iii light - moderate. lasts longer periods.
stage iv continuous, heavy snowfall.
stage v the hardest of cores - blizzards, snowstorms, you name it.
potential scenarios
1 - fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on.
2 - stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do?
3 - literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all.
4 - the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!!
5 - you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket.
6 - everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips.
7 - mix and match, or make up your own.

stage v; 4
The flurry of snow obscures most of his vision, enough that he doesn't realize the sudden drop in level of snow in certain areas where people had fallen earlier. Or he does, and he doesn't care jack squat. ]

You look like you're in need of some fun.
No?
Too bad.
Even though Walter's a guy, presumably on a mission, where's he going to go in this weather? He should just stay at home, really, which is why Serah feels completely justified in throwing a tightly wound snowball at him, hitting the arm covering his face. She's looking out for her, honestly!
And now, the most innocent of all looks!

It also allows his voice to carry over quite clearly when he calls out loudly, ]
Who's there!?
[ Then he sees pink, and Walter shoots Serah a demanding scowl. Never mind that he's yet to brush some of the snow off his hair, or even his sleeve for that matter. ]
What do you want, you Orerines? Answer me.

Settle down, Walter! I was only playing. [ Serah laughs, brushing some of the snow off her pink jacket. So serious Walter why it's snowing you should be having fun. ]
Anyway, where are you even going in this weather? [ She steps a bit closer to him so she doesn't have to yell, but keep her distance because he's a little bit scary.
And also he doesn't seem to like her very much!! ]

My destination is none of your concern.
[ He won't disclose the location of the village that easily, much less share that much personal information with an Orerines he only knows a little. ]

[ Lightly, she taps the toe of her shoe on the frosty ground, chipping off some of the snow on her boot. Walter, you can't seriously be considering going out in this... ]
... Just the fact that you're going somewhere. I mean, have you seen this snow? [ Snow ;a; ] It's freezing!

Walter maintains his slight frown, uncomprehending the secondary message. All he can think is that the snow doesn't bother him, much less the cold. He's one of the water people, for Nerifes' sake. ]
And?
