1. You are about to defenestrate yourself. Is this a suicide attempt? Is it merely because you need a quick exit and fortunately the building is only one or two stories tall so it's not that much in the way of defenestration? Well. Either way, you're about to throw yourself out of a window and somebody caught you in the act.
2. You're defenestrating your/someone else's belongings. Is it because it's a messy break-up? Is it a fit of rage? It doesn't matter, because unless someone actively stops you you'll end up defenestrating the contents of the entire room.
3. You're defenestrating/defenestrated a helpless NPC! Or maybe they're not so helpless. They could be an assassin or something.
4. You're defenestrating the person who replied to you! (In the event that person happens to be your long lost brother, your beloved mother, your one true love, or someone equally close to you, you may assume that mind control was involved.)

(...it feels kind of weird to only have only four RNG prompts, but there's only so many ways to throw something out of a window. I mean, really.)

[Lindsey's head hung over the edge of the window thirty-eight stories off the ground, and swallowed nervously. Turning around again to face a potential client who stood much too close to him and the open window behind him. He won't even pause to consider that this client was a Godling of his own right.]

Wolfram and Hart is a full service law firm. We have resources that you will find beneficial if we worked together...

[He wanted to back away, but any more backing and he would be falling out the window.]

Perhaps those beneficial resources could have been put to use before things went awry the first time. Now you want to try again, but what kind of assurance would I have of that? I had been told as much previously - that your law firm would help me with my ends but as I imagine you understand we wouldn't need to be in this predicament

[casting a glance out the window as if to further point out the delicacy of the situation Lindsey has found himself in]

had everything gone according to plans. I am a busy man, and I dislike having my time wasted. Especially when I could have taken care of this myself.

[Lindsey swallowed again nervously and did his best to bring out his reassuring client smile. Working with demons and vampires and other less desirable creatures helped him develop a certain tact with dealing with delicate situations, but this was more than a bit delicate.]

Of course, of course! You have nothing to worry about, sir. I admit that was miscalculation on our part and we did not expect such opposition, but it will not be happening again.

[Pointedly trying not to look at the window behind him, Lindsey turned slightly and indicated towards the table behind Loki.] Maybe we can sit down and talk about this more thoroughly?

[trickstering]

So that you can tell me more reassuring lies about your services?

[But he takes a step back, anyway.]

We will talk - but you should hope for your sake that your words will be as good as you think they will be.

[hellsbestlawyer]

[Lindsey didn't dare to sigh in relief, but he did allow some of the tension to bleed out of his spine when new space opened itself between him and the Godling. A bit more bold now, he took a step forward and brushed past Loki, looking as if he had all the confidence in the world and had not just nearly met his demise out the window.]

What happened will not happen again. You can rest your worries upon that. In fact, we already have people working to contain the situation and it should not reflect back upon you in any shape or form.

Perhaps we can start discussing what you really want.

[And afterward, Lindsey can tell Loki how he can pay for it.]

Right now, what I really want is for this to be cleaned up.

[hellsbestlawyer]

It is already happening even as we speak.

Would you like a seat? [He gestured to the table.] Something to drink?

I imagine we should be getting reports regarding the situation any moment.

[trickstering]

I don't need anything.

[He sits in one of the chairs at the table.]

What will these reports tell us?

That... [Before he could finish his reply, his phone rang. Bowing his head and excusing himself, he took it out of his jacket and answered.]

This is McDonald. Yes... yes.. [Flashing a quick glance Loki's direction, he got up and walked towards the windows. Yet two steps in, he changed his mind and moved behind his desk instead.] That is not acceptable. Send in a second team and fix it. No, I do not want to hear excuses. Just do it.

[Closing the phone, he squared his shoulders as he looked towards Loki from the safety behind his desk.]

There might be... complications, sir.

[trickstering]

Are we talking about the fixable kinds of complications, or should we pick up where we just left off?

[hellsbestlawyer]

They will be most assuredly be fixed. [His expression drew together.] But it might require some time.

[trickstering]

How much time?

[hellsbestlawyer]

[Here was the tricky part.] It shouldn't be too long. Our people are very efficient.

[trickstering]

So you don't know.

[hellsbestlawyer]

Not an exact time but they are working on remedying the problem.

[trickstering]

You understand that that is not the answer I need.

[hellsbestlawyer]

I'm sorry, sir. I assure you, we are working on it to the best of our abilities.

[trickstering]

And I assure you that I am losing patience as far as you and your firm are concerned.

[hellsbestlawyer]

[Lindsey's eyes narrowed slightly. He was losing patience at the man's attitude too, God be damned.]

There wouldn't be so much problems, sir, if you informed us of having such powerful enemies to begin with.

[trickstering]

[it's cool, he can throw Lindsey out the window if that's preferable.]

I thought that much was obvious.

[hellsbestlawyer]

[That was why he was staying safely behind his desk, althoughto his back was another set of beautiful windows. They just weren't open.]

No, it was not obvious. We could have handled the situation better if we could have anticipated the number of people making it their purpose to stop you.

[trickstering]

[Not being open does not prevent defenestration.]

I have made an enemy of the team of the Avengers, and you thought that wasn't worth noting?

[hellsbestlawyer]

[He knew only too well considering he witnessed his client getting pushed through by a vampire before. Still, it was false reassurance.]

We were not aware that they were active even in L.A. [Perhaps poor background research on his part.] Or would follow you here.

[trickstering]

So not only did your end of the deal go wrong, but you did not even have the foresight to do the research that could have prevented it.

[Lindsey opened his mouth then thought better and closed it again. He really messed up this time. He couldn't even come up with something smart to say than a meek:] We're working on fixing it.
