Would You Rather?: The Meme-ening

We've all played. Or maybe we've just all seen people play on TV. Or maybe we've never heard of this and are going to actually read the rules and subtly Google some things. Whatever, we're playing 'would you rather.'

The Game
One person asks "Would you rather...?" followed by two options. The options can range from mundane to outrageously horrific: be a cat OR be a dog, save starving children in Africa OR have a real working lightsaber, etc. Others decide which they would choose of the two given options. Friendships are created and/or destroyed.

The Meme
1. Comment with your character, with a "Would you rather...?" starter if you like or blank if you want people to throw them at you.
2. Respond to other characters with your character's choice out of two choices.
3. Discuss, be horrified, bravely ask other questions instead because no one wants to linger on that answer.
4. Profit. Or lose all your friends. Whichever.

Sample generic 'would you rather's here. Meme lovingly tweaked from here.

Would you rather be loved for doing the wrong thing or hated for doing the right thing?

[There's a bit of thought before Kouji writes his answer out on a notebook page.]

I'd rather do the right thing.

I don't think I could handle being praised if I knew it was for doing something awful.

[ She smiles, obviously pleased. ]

Agreed. If only more people saw it that way.

That would be ideal.

We just have to work that much harder, to make up for the people who don't see things the same way.

The latter. It's far better to be good than to be lauded.

Mm, you sound confident. That experience talking?

Some, though I've been more fortunate than most in the outcome. In both cases.

But I believe it's my turn. Would you rather have the power and responsibility to dictate others' actions, or the freedom to follow your own conscience?

The second one. My dad was a reverend, so...
