[ It's exam time and absolutely nothing can stop Terezi Pyrope from achieving A+ on every single exam her aid writes her name on. Every semester the professors assign Terezi an aid, some poor soul who thinks it'll just be reading off the text book to a blind girl for an hour and get their extra credit and be done for the day. But, oh no. If there's one thing Terezi is good at it's putting people through the ringer. Last semester she had a girl in tears with her harsh and demanding time table. How was she suppose to graduate with honours if she wasn't pouring over law material at every available second? She found a sadistic pleasure in breaking down weaklings and this was her future on the line! She thought it was rather justified.

She had talked to her Advanced Legal Writing prof and they assured her there would be a new aid tonight. Someone sturdier and willing to take her abuse. At 7pm Terezi set herself up and her books waiting for the mysterious aid to make their way over to her table in the library. She heard the tell tale shuffle of footsteps and her face split in to a grin. ]

[Shelton was too much of a social creature to hide away in one of the study rooms or even at one of the cubicle desks when he was at the library, always willing to let a friendly face or distraction lure him from his books and laptop if there were any available. Maybe it wasn't that great for his grades, but he'd nearly driven himself spare in his freshman and sophomore years studying until the wee hours, hopped up on coffee and eventually energy drinks and seeing visions by the morning of whatever final he happened to be dreading. It was time for a more relaxed approach this year.

So far there was only one other guy at the big, open tables just behind the stacks: he looked younger than Shelton, but also had one of those faces that would probably look just as young when he was an octogenarian, and was doing some hyper-organized form of note-taking that involved pen and paper, highlighters, textbooks, coloured tabs, and his computer. Not likely to be a good time.

Shelton was admiring the guy's cuteness again, eyes just visible over the back of his laptop, when he suddenly glanced up and Shelton quickly averted his gaze back down to his computer. When he chanced a look back up, though, cute guy wasn't looking at him; he was looking into the stacks, a puzzled expression on his face. After a few seconds, Shelton heard what he must have been hearing: one of the book racks shaking in a steady, rhythmic pattern that only brought one thing to mind. Shelton bit down on his bottom lip, but he couldn't keep the corners of his mouth from turning up.]

Konata felt like baking, and the fact that it's way past the middle of the night has little concept to her in regards to other people. She'd spent all day playing World of Warcraft and had decided to take a break to study. Five minutes later she needed a break from her study break and was now in the community hall, whistling as she played phone games waiting for her cookies to finish baking.

The sink and counters are a mess too, and even though Konata plans to clean it up before she goes back to her room, it looks like a flour-based murder occurred currently.

So maybe it wasn't completely ethical to first break the password protection on the abandoned thumb-drive to find out who it belonged to and then hack into university records to find out where said owner was supposed to be, but desperate times and all. Plus, she was really curious about it. Not to mention it being a hell of a lot easier than trying to get the login records for the lab. The station numbers never match.

"So, um, you left this behind in the lab the other day," Claudia said, jogging up to the culprit. "And the guys in charge of the lost and found tend to appropriate the tech stuff. Looked like some pretty important stuff."
