THE BODY HEAT MEME

Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you. Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket. A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation! So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death! Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold. |
Ronan Lynch | The Raven Cycle
Re: Ronan Lynch | The Raven Cycle
The nuns apologized profusely for the lack of heat and Adam assured them he could manage a few hours while they tried to restore whatever had gone wrong. He's good at fixing cars, but not heating units apparently.
"I'm sorry," is the first thing Adam says. He can tell Ronan is trying to stick it out, but his place on the floor can't be comfortable. "Are you sure you don't want to go back to Monmouth?"
Re: Ronan Lynch | The Raven Cycle
"I go back, you're coming with me."

The floor seems silly at a time like this, but heading back to Monmouth this late seems even sillier. "Come up here. You shouldn't sleep on the floor, you'll catch a cold." He doesn't think he's ever seen Ronan with a cold before and he's not going to be the one to give it to him.

He grins, a wild and reckless kind of smile. "Tryin' to get me into bed, Parrish?"

"Are you going to be stubborn about it?" He raises a defiant eyebrow. Now Ronan definitely has to come up here. "I promise, my feet aren't that cold."
no subject
"I'm not stubborn." Ronan pushes up off the floor and flops on the bed. His head drops to the side and he looks at the other boy. "You're the stubborn one." Kicking off his shoe he bumps his foot against Adam's. "Feet could be warmer."

"Stubborn is your middle name." He lifts the blanket up and drops it back down over Ronan when he gets into bed. "I'm only mildly stubborn and I have good reasons." Reasons that Ronan usually doesn't call out and Adam is thankful for it. Ronan always did understand him more than Gansey ever did. A warm foot presses against his slightly cold one and he he can't help but bump back. "Well now they'll definitely warm up."

"I have my reasons!" He yanks the pillow down, away from his face. "You're going to end up back on the floor, Lynch."

"I... I'd like to think that I do. Maybe not everything, but some things. I know that you feel things very deeply and that's why you act so hard sometimes. It's not because you don't care, it's because you care so much," he says, looking at Ronan and he really hopes he's not crossing any lines here or pushing Ronan into places he doesn't want to go to.
