the captivity meme

You've been captured -- or maybe you've been held captive for a while now. Whatever the case, you've lost your freedom, and there's a specific person responsible for that. You might be a prisoner, a mental patient, a kidnap victim, or someone's pet. Maybe you're there willingly, or maybe the choice has been taken away from you completely.
Both smut and non-smut scenarios are possible. If you don't want to play smut, please indicate so in the title line of your tag.
1. Leave a tag with your character. Be sure to include any limits on what you are willing to play, as this meme has the potential to be triggering.
2. Someone else tags in and uses RNG to generate a number between 1 and 9. The second character is holding the first character captive now.
3. ???
4. Profit!
Scenarios
1. For their own good. Does this person really think they could make it on their own? It's a big, scary world out there, and you need to protect them from it, whether they like it or not.
2. For the good of society. Forget protecting this person -- it's your duty to protect the world from them! Maybe they committed a terrible crime, or maybe they were falsely condemned, but it's your job to keep them locked up where they can't do any more harm.
3. Because they're not well. How's your bedside manner? Whether you're Florence Nightingale or Mildred Ratched, you're in the position of ministering to the mentally ill. Maybe this person genuinely needs your help, or maybe you're just turning a blind eye to their true sanity.
4. For the money. Higher aims? What higher aims? This person is your meal ticket, and they're staying put until their loved ones pay up.
5. For their love. It might be a case of yandere, or it might be a consenting BDSM relationship. Whether it's by mutual agreement or by force, you're keeping them simply because you love them.
6. Because they're cute and fluffy. Who's a cutesy wutesy? They are! Yes, they are! This person is your pet now. Maybe they're a different species from you, or maybe you just don't care that you're both people. Maybe you're even an alien zookeeper looking after a new acquisition.
7. Because they're your property. Slave? Livestock? Who cares what they think - they're your property, and you decide their fate.
8. For the lulz. Hey, what's a little bondage between friends? You'll let them go, once you're done laughing and snapping photos... maybe.
9. Choose a scenario, or combine several.

So it was with great pains that Eliot lugged the kid along. At night he didn't even dare to make themselves a campfire in fear that it would provide the boy ammunition to fuel Kevin's flames. "We should be reaching our destination in another day or two. Why don't you get some rest, kiddo?"
I'm going to assume something happened to his Djinn bottle - stolen or broken.
He tried to concentrate on creating just enough heat to get out of the handcuffs but he'd never been trained and didn't really know what he was doing. The only thing he'd done with his gift on his own had been to set the house on fire when he was still a kid. Instead, he managed to set his t-shirt on fire. He screamed in pain as the flames licked at his skin.
I have no idea what djinn you're talking about. ^^;;
Thankful for Kevin, the retrieval specialist reacted quickly to the burst of flames by throwing the kid to the ground. Manhandling the boy, he rolled him on the ground like a large rolling pin and smothered out the fire before he let the boy up.
"Seriously?" he finally asked when only smoke and charred cloth remained of the flames. "That's gotta be the worst trick I've ever seen." He sighed and looked the remaining shirt, more like rags now, over. "You okay?"
many Wardens use claimed Djinn to augment their power. think Aladdin with unlimited wishes.
I know what Djinn are... is Kevin a Djinn?
"Why are you fighting me so hard?"
No, but he'd had a Djinn if we're playing this from book 3, although he didn't after the end...
"Why am I fighting you so hard?" He glared at his captor. "Why do you think? I don't wanna die. They're gonna kill me!"
Ahhh, guess he lost the bottle.
"Wait, what?" he asked, eyes narrowing quickly and giving the kid a new look over. He was informed that the boy needed to be brought back for his own good, that he was in danger if he stayed outside. The group never mentioned anything about harming the kid.
And from the way the kid struggled, he truly believed it.
Eliot was no longer amused and having adopted a serious expression, he gave the boy a steady look. "Why would you think that?"
Very much so, since I'm playing him from right after book 3
He'd been fine, staying with Lewis. No more crazy storms and earthquakes. No more killing people. Not that he'd killed more than two people, just Yvette and that one Warden in Vegas. He'd actually been learning how to help people for a change. He still wasn't quite sure what he thought about that but it sure felt a hell of a lot better than being on his own or what Yvette made him do.

"And how do you know they want to take your powers?" That Eliot hadn't called Kevin crazy for mentioning powers should clue the kid in he wasn't dealing with a normal guy.

Okay, insulting his captor wasn't one of Kevin's brighter ideas but no one ever accused him of thinking things through. "They aren't trying to help me. They don't really even want me alive. I wanna go back to Lewis."

"Come'n, get some sleep. We've got an early mornin' ahead of us." Either way, Eliot will have a day or two to figure this out before they were within the area of power for the so called council.

Yvette waited for him as soon as the waking world faded away. And this time, she had both Jonathan and David. No. She had been horrible enough with one Djinn. He couldn't survive what she'd do with two. He turned to run but it was hopeless. He knew it was hopeless. It always was. He felt a pair of hard arms pull him back while another turned his head to face his stepmother. "Please, Mom... I'm sorry, please."

He could hear the twisting and turning from the boy for the first half of the night, and when that finally quieted down, he thought it would be peace and quiet for the rest of the night. Oh how wrong he was.
Shortly after did the boy begin twisting anew, jerking in his sleep as if he was running from an invisible enemy. Eliot thought to leave Kevin alone to it when the boy cried out too, begging with desperation for whatever reason forgiveness from his mother.
It was then that Eliot decided to interfere, and sighing, he picked up a small rock and tossed it at the kid's arm. With the boy prone to setting things on fire, he wanted to make sure it was safe before he went over himself.

"David, give me Kevin's power. All of it."
Kevin looked at her, horrified. "No, Mom, please!" But it was too late. Agony spiked through him as his power was torn away. He screamed helplessly. Wasn't it enough that she planned to rape him again? Did she have to subject him to this slow, torturous death, too?
And then he felt her hands peeling his shirt away from his body. He pulled away, backing into Jonathan. "Please, don't..."

"Hey, kid, wake up. You're havin' a nightmare." And when the boy started struggling, he shook him a lot harder. "Wake up!" Whatever parental based nightmare the boy was having, Eliot didn't want to see it continue through.
