Amnesiac Romance

AMNESIAC ROMANCE
You have no idea who you are.
One day, you just woke up from the darkness, confused and alone. You barely remember your own name, much less why you're here...or where here is, even. Your own body is strange to you, and if you have some kind of power or ability, that must be frightening. Perhaps you're angry at everything so new and different, lost in this strange world you don't understand or know your own place in. Maybe you feel the need to hide away, lest you be crushed by everyone out there who is sure to hurt you.
You are so, so alone.
Only you're not. There is one person, one person who's found you and taken you in. They've shown you kindness, looking after you while you can barely look out for yourself. Out of the goodness of their heart, they've shown you things, taught you things. Most importantly, they're giving you a new sense of identity. And for that, you've begun to appreciate them. More than words can say, actually. You care for them so deeply that your heart hurts around them. Is that normal? What is this feeling? You can't imagine life without them, and leaving them- That's something you could never consider. Is this lov...
The word's on the tip of your tongue, but you can't figure it out, exactly. What you can figure out is that you want to give everything you can to the person who's done so much for them. You want to stay by their side and make them happy. You want to protect them at all costs.
So no one would blame you for getting confused when you see them with someone else or getting angry when you believe they're in danger. And certainly it's only natural for you to get frustrated when you want to tell them what you think of them, what they mean to you, and you can't figure out what to do. Perhaps following instincts will do?
One thing you know is that this bond and these emotions will never go away, not even when you learn who you are.
RULES
- This meme is for examining what happens when someone with no memories, potentially someone with powers or skills that could be dangerous at the very least, develops deep feelings for the person who's taken them in or is helping them realize their past. It can be played as awkward, adventurous, tragic, cracky, fluffy, truly romantic, or anything in between. You can play at the beginning, the part where emotions have strongly developed, or even when the amnesiac has regained their memories and must now deal with new feelings.
- Reply with your character and preferences. Mention if you'd like to play the amnesiac, the caretaker/help, or both.
- The role of caretaker does not have to always be beneficial. Maybe they caused this condition in the first place so the other character would be dependent, loving, and loyal towards them.
- Reply to others and play.
Tex/Allison Tex/Allison - RvB (AUs always enjoyed) OTA
This is going to go so well
Running into Felix and Locus at the temple with the true warrior test thing? More or less expected, but this though?
Another person joining them in a painfully familiar suit of armor?
Had his normal blue color flaring red as his gaze settled on the armor he knew so well and the flare of rage was enough to bring Omega to the surface, even if he'd been controlling him well enough to that point.
"Fuck." It's out before he can stop it. "Tex? How the fuck did he get you back?" The Director had erased all of it. He'd /fucking/ sent her on to rest and closed that door himself. But there she was.
Standing there staring at them and something inside him twisted, Epsilon about to step out of Carolina when her voice brings him up short, snaps him back to reality. And then they're gone, leaving the mercenaries and Tex there, because they have to keep them from finding the sword.
But it's not where his mind is now and even though Carolina manages to talk him down, now that he knows, he has to do something about it. Which is how it starts.
He leaves Carolina that night, though, talking Caboose into taking a walk with him and it becomes almost routine for him to do this. Caboose of course loves it, but Epsilon?
Is half hoping to run across her, and even if there's a fight, at least Caboose isn't totally defenseless.
He'd ended it. He'd fucking laid her to rest twice already and why the hell DID people keep bringing her back?
even worse than he could have imagined
So yes, the blue marvel and his puppet could find her easily enough, she hadn't moved since taking up her post. Her rifle rested low but ready and rock solid, only the helmet turned to scan the horizon around her. Her back was to the rest, but she hadn't made it this far by being oblivious.
"I've got the watch, I don't need relief."
Basically.
"...They brought you back." Flatly, his gaze locking on Tex as he stood there. "After everything, you just... What the hell are you doing with them, Tex? Do you even know what they're trying to do here?"
no subject
"Mission assignments get handed out, you do them and you move on. What more is there to know?" ANd why the fuck should she care? For that matter... "I've got nothing to explain to you."
no subject
"...You don't know who I am, do you? And I'm not talking about the mission, Tex. I'm talking about you and the Tex I know wouldn't be working for someone like Hargrove. Not after everything you've been through.
That we've been through."
no subject
"Pretty sure I don't know you, but if you've heard of me you haven't heard enough. I get the job done, whatever the job is. It's what I do." No matter where the orders came from, it was her job and she was the best at it. But that last bit...
"We? Look fucktard, I don't need a lecture from some self important pocket calculator."
no subject
"Do you remember anything about Project Freelancer?" It's somewhere to start anyway. "The Alpha, the other AI? Your team?" And he's really glad Carolina isn't here to hear him say that because this?
Is going to be hard enough on her as it is. Her competitiveness with Tex alone is enough of an issue.
no subject
"Freelancer failed, crashed and burned. It happens." And when it does it gets replaced by something bigger, better, stronger. The rest of what he was saying made her step away a pace, buzzing in her ears ratcheting up that antsy feeling she got before things wen't fucking pear shaped.
"Got nothing to say to you."
no subject
For a lot of reasons. Still, he didn't move away.
"If you ever want answers, you should consider switching sides. We could use all the help we can get and if you're willing to honestly help the people of this planet? You'll get a lot in return.
But you're better than this, Tex. Better than these mercenaries."
no subject
"Christ you're an asshole." Why the fuck was she even here working with schmucks like this? Idiots and bitches all around her and she couldn't even really honestly point to what the mission objective was. Things didn't make sense, not completely and she didn't care for things that didn't fit into boxes.
"The hell do you know about me anyway?"
no subject
But it's not him bringing her back this time. He'd let her go and put her to rest and the fact she's here now is wrong. She shouldn't be here, be the tool of someone like Hargrove.
So there's really no choice when it comes down to it and maybe she'll forgive him this time, maybe she won't but she deserves the truth.
He can do that much.
"I know everything about you."
no subject
The fuzzy feeling in her head wasn't going away and she tried to literally shake it. No effect, no clarity. She needed some air, maybe she could take a breather, just rest somewhere and get the fuck away from him and all the crazy this place had. Like that other blue guy? The retard? What the fuck was up with him?
"You should leave." Because... because.. she wasn't sure why. But it felt like things were too close to a point of imbalance.
no subject
Carolina is going to rip him a new one either way for running off, but it wasn't like he had a choice.
no subject
"Hey, what's your name anyway?" She shouldered the rifle and turned in the direction he'd come from, apparently she'd decided to come along.
no subject
And then he's quiet for a moment at the question. "...Church. My name is Church, or Epsilon, depending on who you ask."
no subject
Maybe this was an intel gathering AI, they were usually more analytical though. "Epsilon?" She sounded dubious. "Church huh? Na, you're an Asshole, it suits you."
no subject
"We've screwed up his plans before and he's real fond of us, let me tell you." Epsilon shrugged a shoulder slightly.
"Call me whatever you want, Tex, you always did. Besides I am an asshole. Always have been. Doesn't change the fact I'm still a hell of a lot better than your current boss."
no subject
"Freelancer failed, why would anyone be hunting down parts of it?"
no subject
Basically, you'd be more or less unstoppable. He's been paying Felix and Locus for who knows how long to keep the civil war going so the people here would kill each other off, at least until we got involved and fucked that up for him too. We got them to truce to face their real enemy."
no subject
"So one of these things could make me a one woman army? Where do I sign up?"
no subject
"Not with Hargrove anyway. But when we take him down, there'll probably be plenty of stuff to sort through and if some of it goes missing...."
no subject
"Don't ask much do you?" But she was considering it, that much was clear. "Why? Why so interested in me, and what I chose to do?"

role swap AU terribleness
Alpha flickers into view before the lined up troopers and looks them over with a vaguely superior smile. He's learned to tone it down some, but frankly in every respect other than lifespan he is superior to them.
"Hey boys, girls and undecideds... I'm Alpha and I'll be your ships AI for the remainder of your stay. If you have any non-annoying questions I'll pretend to be happy to answer them."
It was his most practiced introduction. Some AI liked to be chummy with their crews but... well, honestly most of them wouldn't survive long. It was just easier not to get to actually know any of them. Not that he didn't already have everything on file about them memorized.
oh that is cold as hell
It wasn't that she'd forgotten her past, you don't lose a husband so shortly after marrying them and walk away without scars. It was that she'd had to learn how to move on; and she had. She'd become an exemplary soldier if one who had managed to avoid long runs on the bigger ships. It had always been Leo's dream to work with the AI that ran things like this. He'd said he could perfect them, make them even more useful by integrating them directly into items soldiers could use.
She had never had much use for the AIs after she lost him, but this time running into a standard ships contingent had her damn near dropping her rucksack.
"Alpha?" She shouldered her way from the rear of the group forward. The little AI looked like a generic suit of armor but she knew that voice. She knew the attitude behind it too, it was exactly the way he got when he knew he was the smartest guy in the room and he was going to have to slow it down for the rest.
She faltered and stepped closer still. "Leo?"
