The Caged Meme

There are all kinds of ways to be confined, whether mentally or physically. There are bars of magical and mundane origin, illnesses and curses.

Whatever the means, something has affected you.

In one way or another, you're trapped. Bound. Caged.

HOW IT WORKS:
♦ Leave a comment with your character's name and fandom, and state any preferences. If you'd like to roll for/pick an option here, go for it.
♦ Choose one of the options, then tag another character. You can RNG it, or just pick your poison.
♦ Play out the results and respect others' preferences.
♦ Have fun!

1. AND I MUST SCREAM - You're trapped within your own mind. You can't move, your cries are silent, but your imprisonment is no less real.

2. IN THIS PLACE - You're chained to a wall. Standing on a solitary rock in a lava field. Captured and hogtied. Whatever it is, you're not moving more than an inch or two.

3. LIKE A BIRD IN A CAGE - You have some little movement, but not much. Are you locked in a closet? In a tiny prison cell? Trapped in an elevator? In an oversized birdcage? Whichever it is, the confines are quite close.

4. THESE FOUR WALLS - You're trapped in a sealed room. Or a magical bubble. Or maybe in a fenced yard. You can move around a bit, but the walls might just start closing in on you quickly.

5. I CAN NEVER LEAVE - You aren't physically confined, but you still can't leave. Are you magically compelled to stay? Is there something vital to your life where you are that you can't obtain elsewhere? The door is open, but you won't fly through it.

6. IN YOUR HEAD - You're simply too ill to leave. Or too afraid of the outside. You long to go, but in the end you simply won't.

7. WILDCARD/OTHER - Pick the option you like, or invent your own.

Kurt was very difficult to catch. The alien who finally had was so proud to add him to his collection of rare species of animals on his ship. He had a small room to himself, all the food and water he would need...but he was caged. The bars set up a resonant frequency that didn't allow him to teleport through. After a few hundred attempts, Kurt just sits in the corner, staying in the dark shadows there as much as possible as he hangs upsidedown from a provided trapeze bar. Wishing he was back on Earth again.

[ To think, Loki had just gotten over the whole villainy thing. Such a pity that someone had to come along and ruin his be-nice-to-others streak.

They should've known better, really. But they were learning their lesson now, while half of them burned to crisps and the other half were frozen, encased in thick sheets of ice just as the rest of the building became a frosted fortress. The god didn't say a single word as he marched down the halls, destroying anything and anyone in his path as he searched for the one that had been taken from him so many months ago. Very much a force to be reckoned with, possibly even more so without the army.

He'd heard Eliot calling for him, and so Loki found himself here. His wolf had to be here somewhere, and the god had little care for the consequences of his actions as long as he found Eliot safe. ]

[Okay so maybe Stiles' memory of last night isn't all that great. He was tired, he was walking back out to his jeep and then... and then something happened and now he's waking up in a cage.

Not even a metaphorical cage. A real one. A very tiny one that only gives him enough space to sit and stand.

Why he's in one he's not entirely sure. But he's guessing he's probably bait for one of the werewolves to try and find. It was either the Argents or some other completely unrelated group of hunters. Either way, he's still stuck in a cage.

And as if it couldn't get worse his phone was missing and it looks like there's no way out. There's a padlock and there's no way he can go about attempting to pick it. Despite his large and varied skill set, lock picking isn't something he's managed to pick up.

So now he's sitting in the cage, waiting and hoping somebody eventually gets him out.]
