The Wizarding Meme

Now we've all seen this before, a Hogwarts AU meme!

⚝RULES:
- Post with your character, the fandom, their house and if you want to, their year (or what their house was when they were a student, etc etc.)
- Character can be a Hogwarts Student, a visiting student for the Triwizard Tournament, or an adult of any sort!
- Roll between 1-14 at RNG, or don't!
- Reply to others.
- Profit.

1 ⚝ CLASS: You may pick the class, but really the class picks you. Passing notes? Eying up the teacher? In class whispering? Spells going wrong? Any thing goes!

2 ⚝ LIBRARY: SSSSHHHH! It's study time, but some just don't see it that way.

3 ⚝ HOGSMEADE: With all that hard work, it's time for a well deserved break. Go for a walk, drop by the Three Broomsticks, get some shopping done, or maybe take a peek into the Shrieking Shack, so long as something doesn't grab you.

4 ⚝ QUIDDITCH: For some people, the Quidditch pit is the place to be. Whether you're practicing, watching a game or just doing homework in the stands, this might just be the place for you.

5 ⚝ FORBIDDEN FOREST: WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? IT'S FORBIDDEN. Be careful the spiders don't get you.

6 ⚝ DIAGON ALLEY: Whether near or far, this is where your fellow wizards and witches will gather. Making a day of it or just dropping in to get some chores done? Take a load off, maybe keep an eye out for your friends as they come out of Gringotts or sneak off into Knockturn Alley.

7 ⚝ MEAL TIME: Ah, the Great Hall. A wonderful place to work or play, but then again there's always the Kitchens if you know where to find them.

8 ⚝ YULE BALL: Time to put your best foot forward. That is, until the Weird Sister's start to play. Then, all bets are off. Maybe somebody even spiked the punch when Professor McGonagall wasn't looking.

9 ⚝ SNEAKING AROUND: The Restricted Section? Going to get a midnight snack from the kitchens? Or someplace else? ...Are you sure you should really be in here?

10 ⚝ WANDERING THE GROUNDS: Much like sneaking around, but without the threat of...

11 ⚝ DETENTION: Well, that's what you get for...whatever you did. This isn't going to be fun, you can be sure of that.

12 ⚝ HOGWARTS EXPRESS: Back to wizards and witches, and magical beasts, to goblins and ghosts and to magical feasts! All aboard the Hogwarts Express, want anything from the trolly dear?

13 ⚝ COMMON ROOM: Perhaps you and somebody in your house are just chilling... or maybe- have you been crafty enough to sneak somebody from another house in?

14 ⚝ ACCIO OPTION: Pick your own or make something else up!

[Jason stood outside the Quality Quidditch Supplies Shop, eyeing the new brooms and then proceeding to glance down at his money pouch. If he was going to be the Gryffindor Captain this year he was going to need a new broom, but with a book list a mile long, a melted cauldron from the previous year that needed replacing, and a few other supplies to get, he wasn't sure he could justify spending the money on an item like that.

He bit his lip, pondering his options and not noticing if any of his fellow schoolmates passed by. ]

[ Piper was on her way to Flourish and Blotts when she noticed Jason outside the Quidditch Supplies Shop. She had heard that he was named Captain this year --- and she had been meaning to congratulate him but never found the time. It also didn't help that she didn't know exactly what to say without feeling stupid.

After telling her friends to go ahead, she walks behind him and taps him on the shoulder. ]

Jason? I heard you were made captain. Congratulations!

[ She really wished she didn't sound stupid, but that did sound stupid. To her anyway. That didn't sound stupid, right? ]

[ Jason came out of his thoughts when he felt someone tap his shoulder. Right, he was probably going to get in trouble for loitering like---oh, it was Piper. He smiled slightly. It was good to see her again before the school year started. He probably should have realized he'd be running into some of his classmates, after all there wasn't much time left before the term started. ]

Hey Piper. Yeah, thanks. I was kind of caught off guard by it, but it shouldn't be too bad...I hope.

[There was an awkward pause. Now what was he supposed to say]

Have you gotten most of your stuff yet?

[ Piper visibly relaxed a bit more. It was great to see him too --- especially when she wasn't sure if they will have a lot of chances to talk this year since he was going to be busy with his duties in the Quidditch Captain. As much as she was happy for him, it still made her a little sad. ]

I think you'll do great, Sparky. Win the Quidditch cup again for us this year.

No pressure.

[ Ah --- yeah ... that pause. She was quiet and rubbing her arm a bit until he finally spoke again. ]

Yeah. I only have books to worry about now ...

[ Another nervous pause. ] Uh ... what are you doing here? Oh, wow! Are those the new models?

We'll try, but I'll have to find us a new Beater first.

[He didn't want to think about try outs this year. But at least that was the only spot they had to replace.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a crumpled list]

I've got a few books and a cauldron to replace. I was hoping I could get some of it cheap and still have enough left over to get a new broom. [He gestured towards the display] I didn't make quite as much money working for my aunt this summer as I had hoped, so I might just have to stick with my old broom.

[ She really didn't know what to say. Thanks to her dad ... she really didn't have a lot of problems financially, so she was scared if she said something it wouldn't sound right.

She wanted to help him, but Jason was really much too proud to accept help... probably.

She puts a comforting hand on his shoulder. ]

You'll think of something. I just know you can ...

[He shrugged]

I guess it's not that big of a deal. So, hey, you wanna go get your books? I still have some left to buy myself and, well, if you're heading that way.

Sure! [ Smiling now. ]

Do you have the book for the Defense Against the Dark Arts? They didn't have it last time I was here ...

Yeah, I think I got one of the last copies. I need a new Transfiguration and Potions book though.

[Part of the problem with his cauldron was what had also melted his potions book. That had not been a pretty day]

Hopefully they'll have the Defense Against the Dark Arts books in stock this time.

[When they reached the book store down the way he opened the door for Piper and let her enter first]

Hey look! They got it!

[ Reaching for a copy being displayed --- but hesitated. She remembered one year when their Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers assigned a book that could bite their head off.

She was not going to take any chances. She turned to Jason with a very serious look on her face. ]

It's safe, right? Or does it need a leash?

[He looked up, he'd already started heading for the Potions section and was scanning for their required text.

He smiled slightly, he couldn't blame Piper after last year's book fiasco]

It's fine. No biting or curses or anything on this copy. I guess we have a fairly sane professor this year.

[ She was smiling back. That was good. She never learned to trust Defense Against the Dark Arts books ever since one had almost bit her hand off. ]
