The Wizarding Meme

Now we've all seen this before, a Hogwarts AU meme!

⚝RULES:
- Post with your character, the fandom, their house and if you want to, their year (or what their house was when they were a student, etc etc.)
- Character can be a Hogwarts Student, a visiting student for the Triwizard Tournament, or an adult of any sort!
- Roll between 1-14 at RNG, or don't!
- Reply to others.
- Profit.

1 ⚝ CLASS: You may pick the class, but really the class picks you. Passing notes? Eying up the teacher? In class whispering? Spells going wrong? Any thing goes!

2 ⚝ LIBRARY: SSSSHHHH! It's study time, but some just don't see it that way.

3 ⚝ HOGSMEADE: With all that hard work, it's time for a well deserved break. Go for a walk, drop by the Three Broomsticks, get some shopping done, or maybe take a peek into the Shrieking Shack, so long as something doesn't grab you.

4 ⚝ QUIDDITCH: For some people, the Quidditch pit is the place to be. Whether you're practicing, watching a game or just doing homework in the stands, this might just be the place for you.

5 ⚝ FORBIDDEN FOREST: WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? IT'S FORBIDDEN. Be careful the spiders don't get you.

6 ⚝ DIAGON ALLEY: Whether near or far, this is where your fellow wizards and witches will gather. Making a day of it or just dropping in to get some chores done? Take a load off, maybe keep an eye out for your friends as they come out of Gringotts or sneak off into Knockturn Alley.

7 ⚝ MEAL TIME: Ah, the Great Hall. A wonderful place to work or play, but then again there's always the Kitchens if you know where to find them.

8 ⚝ YULE BALL: Time to put your best foot forward. That is, until the Weird Sister's start to play. Then, all bets are off. Maybe somebody even spiked the punch when Professor McGonagall wasn't looking.

9 ⚝ SNEAKING AROUND: The Restricted Section? Going to get a midnight snack from the kitchens? Or someplace else? ...Are you sure you should really be in here?

10 ⚝ WANDERING THE GROUNDS: Much like sneaking around, but without the threat of...

11 ⚝ DETENTION: Well, that's what you get for...whatever you did. This isn't going to be fun, you can be sure of that.

12 ⚝ HOGWARTS EXPRESS: Back to wizards and witches, and magical beasts, to goblins and ghosts and to magical feasts! All aboard the Hogwarts Express, want anything from the trolly dear?

13 ⚝ COMMON ROOM: Perhaps you and somebody in your house are just chilling... or maybe- have you been crafty enough to sneak somebody from another house in?

14 ⚝ ACCIO OPTION: Pick your own or make something else up!

[Usually Rabastan would slip into some compartment where a group of sneering, young Dark Lord supporters would quickly be establishing an order of hierarchy for the year to come; however, given that he was already well on his way to receiving his Dark Mark, it seemed rather pointless to force himself to deal with their shit. He instead opted for what looked like an abandoned compartment. He--rather ungracefully--stumbled into a seat and immediately dug through his bag to find his sketchbook and pencils. He'd rather just bury himself in his art the entire way up to the school.]

[Nearly abandoned.

Tucked neatly into a seat on the opposite end of the car is Irene. She generally likes to circulate through the train, catching all the summer gossip, but she's in a solitary mood. The gossip will keep for later.

When Rabastan enters, she turns from the window to look.] I called this one.

[It might be a joke.]

[Her tone almost sent him into immediate submission. His mother was very commanding, and he had a tendency to drop everything and do as she said. However, being back in the train to school, he had a growing sense of courage around ladies.]

Well, there's nowhere else. I'm staying here.

[She raises her eyebrows for a moment as if to say 'oh, are you?' though in truth she's not that bothered.]

So long as you're quiet about it.

[He then takes that moment to look her over. He's quiet for a long while, and then he has this overwhelming need to speak up.]

You're...Irene, right?

Yes.

And you're Rabastan Lestrange. [Oh, she's heard of him, all right. She knows everyone, more or less, with the exception of the new crop of firsties. She'll know them soon too.]

Bored of your friends?

[prettyawkward]

[He wets his lips, shifting in his seat a bit.] Friends?

...Er, yeah. Fucking pricks.

All talk and no action. Like most schoolboys.

No like me, though! I...I do. You know? I get shit done.

Do you? [There are all sorts of rumors. The prospect of confirmation straight from the horse's mouth is tantalizing.]

Of course! [Pencil still tucked neatly between a couple fingers, he sweeps a bit of his hair behind his ear.] I don't back down, and when I believe in something I pursue it wholeheartedly. We can trace my family lineage back over a thousand years. My direct line is pristine, you know. All of this 'let's share the fucking world' nonsense is fucking ridiculous. 'Live and let live' bullshit. I just don't agree with it. And I won't. Ever. So...if that means I need to step up, then that's what I do. I don't just sit around talking about it.

[Geez, it's like his head is growing by the second.]

[Irene doesn't buy into the whole purebred supremacy deal, but she's hardly a Muggle advocate either. She doesn't much care what happens to other people unless it makes good scandal fodder or, less likely, somehow affects her.

She sits through his whole speech with a smile, clapping twice, softly, once he's done.]

I admire a man who follows up on his convictions.

[His lip curls into a sly smile.] That's me, then. Right there. So what sort of person are you, then? Seems like I've heard everything about you, but fuck if I know if any of it is true.

[Ooh, she loves rumors about herself. She leans forward in her seat.]

Why don't you tell me what you've heard and I'll confirm or deny.

[prettyawkward]

[He closes up his sketchbook, thinking hard as if he's trying to choose which rumours to bring up and which ones he should keep to himself.] Well, I...I heard you'll do pretty much anything to get what you want. But also that you'll lord it over anyone that takes advantage of that.

True.

[She says it matter-of-factly, as if he had said she liked chocolate frogs or that her favorite subject was Charms.]

[He shifts in his seat, once again.] Oh...

I've...I've also heard you're dangerous. I mean, that sort of goes without saying for most Slytherin girls, but I've specifically heard it about you.

[The slow-spreading smile should be all the answer he needs.]

Now who says that?

I just...I've heard it. Is all. In passing. I don't know what they mean by it, though. There are many different types of dangerous.
