Loki, please see reason. There's nothing keeping you from returning home except false memories of nonexistant slights and your pride.

I know what a beast pride can be. But it is something worth conquering.

False memories... So it was all my imagination that no matter what I did to appeal to anyone, I was still shafted by the Allfather, second best to you, and ridiculed and outcasted by the few of your allies that could stand to be in my presence.

I do not return because it is not mine to call 'home.' I am no son of Laufey or Odin.

You are not second best to me; Loki, you saw reason where I did not. If you had not stepped in our father would have made a fool a king.

He already knew you were a fool and still made the choice, letting his favourite son have at the opportunity instead of the one he knew would be better suited.

This is how it has always been, Odinson. Not just the throne, not by far, and I refuse to return to a place where I will be lied to about my worth, to be told than I am worthy then be treated like a snake. I do not need you to tell me what I am worth.

I am older, it was as simple as that! Why would Father have kept you if he liked you less than I? He has a purpose to everything, as Mother has said before!
