[It was moving in day for him. A new, decent, apartment to start his adult life. He couldn't have asked for more, really. The apartment was cluttered with boxes and furniture all over. He had been pushing his couch around for a bit, causing a bit of noise. He didn't stop there, as he started to hammer in a nail or two into the wall.]

That's great!

[ After milling around for a bit Stiles settled in on his laptop at the dining room table of his new one-bedroom apartment to get some college work done. Once everything had settled down in Beacon Hills, and they actually managed to graduate, many of them had headed off to college. They all stayed close, of course, should anything arise, but for the most part the only thing anyone had to worry about was making it to class after partying the previous night.

And while Stiles stayed mostly to himself, immensely enjoying the downtime college gave him- what with no new supernatual threat to worry about he was liking not having to leave his apartment for anything other than food and supplies- the sound of his next door neighbor moving in was starting to drive him crazy. He had put up with and ignored all the shuffling around, shit hitting the walls which was liking the moving of furniture, but the pounding on the wall opposite to where he was seated was the last straw.

Getting up from the table, Stiles grabbed his keys and headed out of his apartment to the door next to his own and pounding on the surface of it. He had to get some work done and he couldn't do that with all the goddamn pounding on the wall he was listening to. ]

[It had definitely been a nice change to graduate and leave that awful town behind. Things had been rather distraous, especially for his part. He didn't get what he wanted, Scott's plan working out better in the end. But he was alive and perhaps that was all he could ask for.

He heard the knocking on the door. With a sigh he put down the gammer and headed over. It better not be Jehovas or something like that. He opened the door and... spotted Stiles. Surprise spread over his sculptured features. He had not expected that.]

Stiles?

[causticly]

[ Stiles still had his hand poised to knock again in case whatever jackass lived here didn't answer the door.

Except the door swung open to reveal Theo instead of whomever Stiles thought might have moved in. ]

Theo? What the hell?

[ Not the most welcoming thing a person could say, of course. But his... emotions, feelings, whatever you wanted to call them had always been skewed when it came to Theo. Wanting to trust him though knowing he shouldn't. Hating him but somehow still... not. ]

[firstchimera]

[He shrugged and fired a devious smile back at Stiles. He didn't expect a lot of warmness from Stiles. He had abused him a little bit in the past. But he was curious as for why Stiles was here.]

Hi to you too. Are you here to talk about our lord and savior Scott McCall?

[causticly]

[ The question catches him off guard and he lets out a quick bark of laughter before shaking his head. ]

No, not at all. I didn't even know it was you that moved in when I came over here. To tell you to keep the wracket down, actually, because I'm trying to study.

[firstchimera]

[He leans against the doorframe.]

So we're neighbors then? Well, I'm just moving in today. Got furniture to move and stuff to put up.

[causticly]

[ He hates how infuriating Theo can be sometimes. ]

Well can't you do all the noise-making tomorrow? I'm sure whatever family pictures you have can wait to be put up.

[firstchimera]

Maybe. I'd got a few boxes and some furniture left, like my bed. Can't wait with that one.

[causticly]

[ Stiles rubs his forehead like he feels a headache coming on. ]

Okay, if I help you at least put the bed together, will you wait on everything else until tomorrow?

[firstchimera]

That's a very kind offer by you Stiles, I really appreciate that. Sure come into my humble abode.

[He smiles and walks into the apartment. It's looking bare with lots of boxes all over the floor. There's not a lot of furniture, just a couch, a pinic table, some folding chairs and a unassembled bed.]

What you studying?

[causticly]

Anything to get you to stop making that awful wracket.

[ And of course he's kind of curious to see what nefarious things Theo has in his apartment next to his.

He follows the other into the apartment and takes a look around. It does look like Theo just moved in. ]

Criminal Psychology, at the moment.

[firstchimera]

[Stiles can look but in this state he won't find anything.]

Going down the path of your old man then?

[causticly]

For now, I guess. It seems like a good idea, what with all the supernatural bullshit we go through, we'd probably need more people on the lawful side of things.

[ Not that he's ever been completely lawful... ]

Good thinking. I'm thinking about studying law next term myself.

[Picks up parts of the bed and a tool.]

Let's get started then, shall we?

[causticly]

Really? Didn't really peg you for the type that followed the law.

[ He follows Theo in getting to the parts of the bed, picking up the instructions and reading over them. Shouldn't be too hard. ]

God, yes, let's get this thing put together.

[firstchimera]

Really? No joke about being the devil's lawyer? I'm disappointed. Anyway, I figured law would be a good career path. They earn quite a lot.

[He smiles.]

Great.

[causticly]

[ Stiles snorts a little at that. ]

Well, I suppose you would need to finance your world dominating plans somehow.

[ He grabs one of the tools he needs from Theo's hand and starts getting to work on putting the base frame together that the mattress goes on, everything else should be easier after that. ]

[firstchimera]

Now you're just giving me too much credit.

[He then sat down next to Stiles and went to work with the frame.]

[causticly]

Doubtful.

[ He then focuses his attention on getting the frame worked out and put together, with Theo's help, all the while trying not to pay attention to how close they're sitting. ]

So, uh.. how've you been?

[firstchimera]

I've been alright. Been feeling a bit lost and without purpose.

What about you?

[causticly]

Well that's what college is for. Or so they say, anyway.

[ He focuses on tightning some of the screws on one side of the frame, getting it to fit properly. ]

I've been okay. Kind of... figuring things out, I guess.

[firstchimera]

I don't think that was meant to apply to chimeras though.

[Theo does the same on his side, but with less of a struggle.]

Finding any answers yet?

[causticly]

Not if you don't want it to. It applies to everyone, supernatural or not.

[ Once he's done on his side, he shifts over to where Theo is to connect both of their sides and bolt them together with screws. ]

Not even a little.
