That famous lawnchair handcuff dance
Handcuffed Together Meme

There's the cool sensation of metal around your wrist, followed by a sudden click as you realize you've been cuffed to someone else. With no way to get them off, and the keys missing, you're going to have to get used to being stuck together for now.
There's got to be some way to get rid of them...
There's got to be some way to get rid of them...
Leave a comment with your character name, canon, preferences and any relevant information.
Challenges:
1 - you're both cuffed on your dominant hands, or some other strange combination of body parts
2 - you're cuffed to more than one person
3 - how short is the chain?

When he finally got back to his senses, with a splitting headache and nerves still on fire from the bolt of electricity he had received, Poe's brain questioned why the sky was silver. It took him a few more seconds to realize that he was looking at the dirty ceiling of a cell. When the confusion dissipated, more memories and a sense of wrongness followed in its wake.
Pirates. Weequay pirates more exactly, had attacked his ship during a reconnaissance mission. It was probably a good thing that he was not using his X-wing fighter. Poe would have been more worried if BB-8 were there with him and under the risk of being dismantled for parts. Something else that probably worked in his favour was the fact he was dressed as a civilian and not a resistance pilot. Poe doubted the Weequay knew who they had kidnapped. They were probably only interested in his ship and would leave him in the nearest planet if they felt charitable enough. The other option was that they would throw him out the airlock but given as how he woke up in pain but still very much alive, he was somewhat hopeful.
That said, being kidnapped by space pirates wasn't on his agenda, the absurdity of it all was laughable, and the Resistance couldn't really afford losing more ships. He was not going to stay there and wait. With a grunt, Poe tried to maneuver himself into a sitting position. When he raised his right hand to run it through his hair, he found the movement almost impossible. He looked first at his wrist, frowning at the shackle around it, and then his eyes followed the chain attached to the restrains...

Had they known who they had captured, the Weequay might have thought twice about keeping Kylo Ren as a captive. But, much to his chagrin, they'd surprised his transport shuttle and overwhelmed everyone on board so quickly that even his formidable skills hadn't been enough. He'd been knocked out and dragged off, thrown unceremoniously into a cell.
Waking up and realizing that he was handcuffed to the Resistance pilot had just been the highlight of an already crappy day. He waited with an irritable patience for Poe to come back to consciousness, occasionally nudging him to try and speed up the process. "About time you woke up" he said flatly, looking at Poe with a decidedly neutral expression on his face behind the mask.

That fact told Poe a lot about the Weequay, more specifically, that they weren't the brightest crew. Always a good thing, he rather deals with stupid pirated than savvy ones.
Poe looks up at Kylo, then around him, then back at Kylo. He's trapped in a cell with the man once again, if he didn't know better Poe would think that the universe is trying to tell him something.
"We need to stop meeting this way."

"I am going to kill everyone on this ship." The way he announces that is eerily calm and casual, as if he'd just explained what he was going to order for breakfast. He pauses and looks over at Poe. "And don't you dare try to stop me."
no subject
"That would take a lot of time." The reply comes in the same casual tone Kylo used.
"Can I interest you in a more practical solution? They're not the smartest crew, we could make it to the docking bay unnoticed if we are careful. And before you try to strangle me..." Poe raises his hands and tugs at the chain connecting them. "Consider the fact you would still be handcuffed to a dead body."

"We'll still need weapons. I want my lightsaber back."
He's already standing up and impatiently tugging at the short chain connecting them. There's a lack of fear in Kylo Ren that he's come not to expect in other people. They were stupid, panicky creatures at the best of time. But Poe Dameron was different. He'd been inside the pilot's head and knew what his mind was like. There was fear there. But not fear for himself. What he feared was intangible things: that the Resistance would fall, that he wouldn't complete his missions. If he had to be chained to someone after being captured by pirates, there was a lot worse that he could do.

"Lets get out here first. Once we leave the cell I might be able to figure out what sort of vessel are we in, I might know the ship's design." He gets closer so Kylo stops with the tugging, his wrist is already looking raw because he's not wearing gloves.
"Are you sure you can't get a new lightsaber later? I know enough about those to tell yours doesn't look like the others."
The pilot moves towards the door as he speaks. He's stopped short and his shoulder is yanked back when he underestimates how short is the chain connecting them. Krif, this is going to be complicated.
no subject
"Left or right?" He asks Poe, leaving the decision up to him. This way, if things go south later on, he can blame the pilot.

Poe's pretty sure that a lightsaber is only supposed to have one port and the edge shouldn't look so unstable. But the weapon fulfills its function and cuts through anything, and Poe values his life enough to not mention that It doesn't look like Kylo did a perfect job with it.
After studying the walls, ceiling and floor for a few seconds Poe finally motions to the left. The tubes in the ceiling and the cables he can see under their feet meant that they are in a Corellian corvette that might have been modified. He's not going to explain that to Kylo, however, because as long as he knows more about the ship than Kylo he will still be useful to the Sith Lord.
"I don't know what sort of vessel you came in but this his ship has space pods if you want to use one to escape. I need to find my own ship, though, I'm not leaving her behind. So...your sword first, then we need to disable their weapons or we won't make it very far when we leave. How does that sound?"
They weren't exactly swimming in options and Poe hopes Kylo is not in a picky mood.

Kylo pauses and considers his options. He'd normally be more resistant to any ideas not of his own making, but right now, he doesn't have a whole lot of options. "A sound plan for someone like you." Whether he means someone in the Resistance, a pilot, or just someone he finds to be an idiot is left ambiguous.
no subject
"Can you actually sense it or something? Because In this vessel the Captains's quarters are at the far end and to get there we need to cross half the ship."
Poe turns to fidget with the controls of the door with one hand, the other extended towards the Sith Lord to avoid hurting his wrist further.
no subject
"We're going in the right direction. It's that way." And now Poe is going to be hard-pressed to keep up as Kylo starts dragging him to the left. He's getting his lightsaber back one way or another. Plus, once he has it back, he can get this infernal handcuff off.
