[And the smile's back, broad and bright as ever] Well
if BB-8's adopted you that means you're good people, and you
did save it, and help Finn finish my mission.
[Honestly he's just a little starry-eyed about them both, and
given as how he usually wears his emotions on his sleeve, it's
probably pretty obvious.]
Oh probably, that one's talkative for someone who doesn't say much.
[He's grinning again, he can't help it.]
So, welcome to the flock. [Clasping her shoulder warmly, just
for a moment, he's picked up on her not liking to be touched, but he
can't help the physical reassurance.]
Like I said, talkative for not saying much. Or not having many other
topics of discussion.
[There's the grin again at the actual question, though, he
can't help it] Sure, not the most prodigious last name ever,
but you can share it if you want. Mom'll be thrilled that we're
adopting more strays. [He genuinely means that, actually, it's
not sarcasm in the least.]
[A decisive nod] Yes, most definitely.
You and dad can even talk shop, he used to be a mechanic, well, still
is, just retired now, same as mom's still a pilot, just a retired one.
[And there's the grin again, he can't help it.] And
don't worry, they won't ask if I'm finally settling down, though they
might ask if you've had all your shots.
Maybe, not everybody gets them, I think mostly it's just general
immuno-boosters anymore, and mostly just for sickly kids. I don't
even know. They asked the same thing about BB-8 when I brought him
[Because obviously he brought the droid home before taking it
to the base proper, of course he did.]
