TYPE OF SCENE.
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Sex → First times, kinks, even dubcon are all possible themes of sex related scenarios.
⑦ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!

ACTION.
① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.
③ Chase → You're caught in a high speed chase.
④ Gun fight → You're caught in a big shoot-out.
⑤ Fight with a friend → You're fighting with a friend, all out.
⑥ Interrogation → You're being interrogated for some offense you've done.
⑦ Aliens → Aliens are attacking and you're not going to take your probe laying down!
⑧ Final battle → This is it. The battle that will end all the fighting for you. Will you win? Will you get that peace you want?
⑨ Training → You're not actually fighting, just training for the inevitable.
⑩ No hope → You know this fight has no hope. It's not going to end well for anyone involved, but you can't turn away.
⑪ Sneaking in → You're stealing a diamond or sneaking in to kick some bad guy butt, but whatever it is, you have to practice stealth.
⑫ Blue wire → You're faced with a bomb that needs to be disarmed.
⑬ Fight for honor → You've been disgraced or someone you care about has, so it's time to fight for honour.
⑭ Showdown → Time for a cowboy-style showdown. Whoever draws the fastest wins.
⑮ War → You're caught in the middle of a war here. Remember to keep your chin up and keeping fighting.
⑯ Apocalypse → The apocalypse finally happened and now you're left to scavenge and fight for whatever is left.
⑰ Sabotage → It's time to sabotage someone's plan! How is entirely up to you. Do you set up a bomb in their toilet? Do you double cross them at the last minute?
⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.

ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.
⑥ Jealousy → Your character is feeling jealous and must deal with it, how will they do it?
⑦ Breakup! → This relationship has gone as far as it can, it's time to breakup.
⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.
⑨ Fight → You can't even be in the same room as your friend or lover without arguing anymore.
⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.

CRACK.
① Sexswap → Uh-oh, you're suddenly the opposite sex!
② Forced confessions → No matter what it is and no matter how hard you resist, you're going to be compelled to spill some deep dark secret!
③ Mind-reading → You've suddenly got the ability to read minds!
④ Animal → You're suddenly part animal or transformed into an animal!
⑤ Awkward pick-up lines → You're compelled to use bad pickup lines on whoever is closest!
⑥ Back in School / Graduated → You're suddenly back in school! Or if you were already in it, you've aged and long since graduated!
⑦ Vampires, werewolves, and zombies, oh my! → You're suddenly a vampire, werewolf, or zombie! Maybe even a demon or a devil, whatever creepy crawly you can think of. What do you do now?

⑨ Awkward conversations → So did you just fart or what? Any conversation goes, as long as it's embarrassing and awkward.
⑩ Crossdressing → For whatever reason, you're suddenly dressed in clothes of the opposite sex.
⑪ Suddenly naked → Oops! Your clothes are suddenly gone.
⑫ Suddenly a kid → You're a kid again! Have fun with that second childhood.
⑬ Fortune cookie → You've suddenly received a note with something that will happen in the future, either precise or vague.
⑭ Super power → And suddenly you're like Superman! Any power goes.
⑮ Bodyswap → Somehow you've changed bodies with the other person.
⑯ Back in time → Somehow, you wound up in the past again. Do you try to correct something or just sit and wait for time to jump? Maybe it jumps to various points in your life or maybe you actually think you're back in the day. Have fun, run wild with the idea!
⑰ To the future → Is it everything you've dreamed? Is it horrible? Whatever happens, you're here to witness what happens to you in the future. Either you take the place of your future self or you're just there to watch. Might cause some confusion if people start seeing double though...
⑱ Angels, mermaids, and fairies! → You're not necessary something dark or evil. You're just something different. How do you deal?
⑲ Locked in a closet → For some reason, you're locked up in a closet with someone else. Do you make nice and try to figure your way out or what?

FLUFF.

③ Lost → You're lost and you kind of need help finding your way to where you're going. A little help with directions?
④ Costume party → You're at a costume party, both of you are wearing masks. Do you keep the anonymity or take it off and see whose company you've been enjoying?
⑤ Wrong number → Oops, actually you didn't mean to call that person...
⑥ Drunk → You're already drunk! Drunk dialing, stumbling into someone, showing up unexpected... what type of drunk are you anyway? Aggressive, loving, happy? How does the other react?
⑦ Old friends → you haven't seen this person in a long time!
⑧ Rivals → you're suddenly rivals! Or maybe you have been all along...
⑨ Problems → you've got a problem with each other, just got in a huge fight, whatever. Try to work it out!
⑩ What are your intentions... → This person? They're dating a close friend, family member, etc. You need to find out if they're going to hurt them! Or you need to discuss your friend/family's dating choice.
⑪ I saw you → you saw the other person doing something bad and you need to confront them about it.
⑫ Sorry but no → the other person has feelings that you just don't share. They don't necessarily have to be romantic... maybe you just don't agree with their sudden desire to quit their job and start a business making tiny, fuzzy teddy bears.
⑬ My hero → you need to tell this person how much they mean to you. They've been your best friend or your role model your whole life and they need to know.
⑭ Enabler → you're enabling the other (or each other) to do something bad, really bad. Addiction, stealing, killing, or just any other self-destructive behavior.

[Tony had been well-warned that he'd be expected to attend a meeting with Intelligence, at some point, regarding everything that had happened in the cave. They'd done their level best, sent the most gentle extractors, then the firmest when that hadn't worked, trying to peg down the story from one little civilian, because really, why is 'he won't sit still' reason for failing at a simple debrief?

Smiley listens to the last fiasco about the man who didn't make it through the lobby door, taps a fingertip against his cheek, and then sends for Guillam.

Which is how Peter ends up in San Francisco, cursing under his breath, sticking to dark corners as much to remain discreet as to keep out of this godforsaken heat. He has a lunch appointment, finally, with Tony Stark. Which is why the man is apparently boarding an airplane back to New York exactly five minutes before they're supposed to sit down.

Which is how he ends up pulling rank, enlisting a serviceman's help, sliding discreetly on to one very private jet. It speaking a few polite words with a stewardess in a very short skirt (Guillam thinks Smiley might have misjudged something here, doesn't see it, personally) and then he waits until they are well in the air before slipping out of the cockpit. His step is steady, even as the plane banks slightly. His polished shoes barely whisper on the carpet.]

Mister Stark.

[His voice is warm, friendly, with just a twist of perturbation. He has him cornered.]

I believe we have an appointment.

Do we? [Tony has on red sunglasses, a dark shirt to hide the arc reactor, and he's sipping from a glass that's about three fingers full of a very expensive malt liquor.]

Didn't see it on my book, and how did you get on here? We should start punching...tickets, Maureen, [he snaps his fingers at a lovely brunette] did you let him on? You did. This man could be a terrorist. You let him on, not knowing if he was even carrying a gun. [He shoots a look at Peter] You are, right?

Certainly not. I don't know how your Americans do things, but-

[Sinking into the seat opposite him.]

-across the pond, this is the part where you pour me some of that and give me thirty seconds of some sort of statement, so I can stop wasting time sending men to chase you. Since we're going to be in the air another hour.

Well, to break it down for you, if you want some of this after you broke into my plane, you have to pay them for it. It's $700 a glass.

[He nods at the girls--all girls on this flight.

One of them fills a glass and places it in front of Peter with a Stark International napkin under it.]

And secondly, I don't have a statement. My assistant already gave you people the story, and last I heard I had some kind of PTSD thing going on so if my own company doesn't trust my version of events, why do you?

You could have an entire alphabet worth of conditions, for all I care.

Let me be as clear about this as possible. Your government may be content to baby you, SHIELD may do their best to coax and cajole, my own government may fire me for being here- you could certainly make a very good case for hijacking.

[Stealing his glass. He takes a pointed sip.]

But a member of my network was in that cave with you. Not the government's, mine, and I see my people as a personal responsibility. So, if you have even a shred of respect and decency left in you, you will break it down for me. What exactly happened to Ho Yinsen?

[Tony Stark, the man who has evaded every government operative sent to him so far, goes very pale. His mind snaps pieces into place--Yinsen's vast knowledge, his rather Western definition of "dignity", the expensive clothing he'd died in. It all makes sense, and doesn't change the fact that the man had died for him.

He slides out of the booth and walks over to the girls, speaks quietly to them and sends them up front. They close and lock a door behind them. Tony pours himself another glass, but doesn't even lift it to his lips.]

My name is Peter.

[He answers. It's 'Edward' he's supposed to be having a meeting with, but that doesn't matter. That identity would turn up hollow with just a day or two's research. He tilts his head, so his hair falls out of his eyes.]

I maintain information networks. I think we both know what that means.

Yinsen said he was from a village not far from the mountains we were held at. His family's dead. I know a thing or two about government coercion, so tell me this, Pete. How did he end up working for you?

[This is another thing Peter will have been warned about: Tony asks a lot of questions. But the questions he'd asked the others had all been sarcastic and off the cuff, and he'd never waited for answers.

He doesn't want to give anything away to this man, to any man, to any spy. But it's about Yinsen. This may be the only shot he'll ever get at learning more about him. It shouldn't matter, but it does.]

If you think he was a man who could be coerced you didn't know him very well at all. We met in school- he worked for me because he thought it was the right thing to do.

[Mouth twisting in a wry smile. He sips his drink, getting a little more down this time. Swallowing hard.]

[The right thing to do. It's such a simple phrase it's almost trite, but it's Yinsen. Top to bottom.

Tony takes that drink in one swift gulp.]

I wouldn't have left him there. I was ready to carry him out if I had to, and if he'd still been.... [alive, then Tony would have taken him.]

How did he get caught? He made it sound like it was during a raid, but I never got the real story.

But he never quite learned the art of ducking, he used to say.

[It isn't surprising that in the end, it cost him. But Guillam still hates him a little for it.]

That is something I am still struggling to understand. He never said a word about anything out of the ordinary? Think carefully. It might be in the simplest phrase.

The whole-- the whole thing was out of the ordinary, when we weren't being threatened, we were working. He said the group that had us is called the Ten Rings. They're made up of so many tribes and nations even Yinsen didn't know how extensive it was.

[Which isn't something he's bothered to tell anyone. If the government could do anything about it, they would have; he'll pursue it in his own way instead.

He's hammering his thoughts into a rational order, but he hasn't even spoken Yinsen's name since he got out. It rips open suspicions he'd forced himself to bury, believing they no longer mattered.]

He never planned on leaving the cave.

That, I believe. Even with honourable intentions, none of this ever sat... precisely well with him.

[Letting out a breath.]

Did you get any sense of what they'd had him working on before you arrived? Or whether or not he'd undergone any interrogation?

Yeah.

[A sound that might have been a laugh if it weren't so...weary.]

Yeah, he went through interrogation. Trust me. And they never trusted him. But as far as I know they had him setting up their computers and doing surgery on their wounded. He's the one who- he saved my life. So that's something.

He set up the computer network.

[He says, leaning in, alert at that.]

Are you completely sure?

No. No, I'm not even halfway sure. But I think he was the only one with the education for it. And for a big group, they didn't have a lot of wounded. There were months between Yinsen being captured and them bringing me in. So what did they have him doing before he had to do surgery on me?

[Tony shrugs]

It's the theory I came up with while I was over there. I never asked him. Maybe I should have, but you must have trained him well. Half of everything he told me was misleading.

It's enough. It's a start.

[It made this, all of this, worth it. Although it would have been, just to know the truth about Yinsen.]

Sorry about the hijacking, actually.

You wanna make it up to me, you let me in on this. Off the grid, my resources at your disposal.

[He sits across from Peter again.]

But you tell me about Yinsen. And you let me help with whatever he was trying to do.

The Ten Rings are funded. Heavily. This is merely- the way this game is played. They turn ours, we turn theirs, each side tries desperately to learn a little more each day than the other, to find that one mole in that right spot.

[This is a radical breach of procedure, telling him this.]

Humans become commodity. Who has who, in what position. Yinsen was- three points, say, they took him out with one of their fives. The most intricate and bloody chess match you could ever imagine.

[And it's not the only one being played, Tony knows. It's his business to know who's at war...or so he'd thought until a few months ago.]

And where are you at right now? Which one of their pieces are you closing in on?

The fewer people that know that, the better.

[He tells him.]

Which is the reason I think I can't take you up on that kind offer. How often would you be able to stomach hearing that sentence?

The offer was of my resources. The rest is...it's not negotiable. Either you include me so I don't step on your toes, or I go in my way. I think you know how bad that could be.

[Since he has no doubt that the tales of the Iron Man suit escaping from the cave have made their rounds.]

[He holds the cool edge of the glass against his forehead, and lets out a breath.]

And if I asked you to concentrate your efforts, for the first month, on the violent cells, would you do me that favour? To give me a chance to get any of my people who might be in your line of fire firmly out.

I was looking for him. If you go in in that rust bucket I don't want any more casualties.

I could. Look, I'm not a politician. I'm not in the military. I make weapons, and then I make bigger weapons.

[But that philosophy has been grabbed by the ankles and flipped upside down since he saw what those weapons did in the wrong hands.]

But the whole idea of ruling by fear, and double dealing, it's turning everything into chaos. I don't want that. So I'm asking you, in your professional opinion, can you do better than that? Can you tell me how to fix this?

[He's not saying he'll do what Peter asks. He probably won't, truth be told. But he needs to hear ideas that weren't born in the Manhattan project.]
