THE RANDOM SCENARIO MEME
- Post your character, name, and series in the subject. Include any preferences as well.

TYPE OF SCENE.
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Sex → First times, kinks, even dubcon are all possible themes of sex related scenarios.
⑦ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!
ACTION.
① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.
③ Chase → You're caught in a high speed chase.
④ Gun fight → You're caught in a big shoot-out.
⑤ Fight with a friend → You're fighting with a friend, all out.
⑥ Interrogation → You're being interrogated for some offense you've done.
⑦ Aliens → Aliens are attacking and you're not going to take your probe laying down!
⑧ Final battle → This is it. The battle that will end all the fighting for you. Will you win? Will you get that peace you want?

⑮ War → You're caught in the middle of a war here. Remember to keep your chin up and keeping fighting.
⑯ Apocalypse → The apocalypse finally happened and now you're left to scavenge and fight for whatever is left.
⑰ Sabotage → It's time to sabotage someone's plan! How is entirely up to you. Do you set up a bomb in their toilet? Do you double cross them at the last minute?
⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.
ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.
⑥ Jealousy → Your character is feeling jealous and must deal with it, how will they do it?
⑦ Breakup! → This relationship has gone as far as it can, it's time to breakup.
⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.
⑨ Fight → You can't even be in the same room as your friend or lover without arguing anymore.
⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.

② Forced confessions → No matter what it is and no matter how hard you resist, you're going to be compelled to spill some deep dark secret!

④ Costume party → You're at a costume party, both of you are wearing masks. Do you keep the anonymity or take it off and see whose company you've been enjoying?

PREPARE FOR NOVEL-LENGTH
[ Cosmic threats don't just take a day off because you're tired. They don't care if you're worn-down, starving, cold to the bone, or even dying. But there are moments-- albeit fleeting -- when there's just enough of a lull to take a time-out. Figuratively, of course (one can't merely disconnect from the mystical ebb and flow willy-nilly), but a moment of respite can do wonders for the mind, body, and soul.
Sometimes Stephen just walks, letting his feet carry him along New York city streets. When he's too exhausted to physically exert, he visits a bar that exists in a building with no doors. It's a neutral ground, a place where anyone who knows even the most basic of incantations can rest themselves and commiserate.
He's still new to all of this, but Strange knows there is something massive brewing on the cosmic plane, and while he doesn't understand all the ins and outs, he does know that he'll be off in the thick of it soon enough. How and when? Undetermined. But the city being destroyed by aliens and then another group of beings nearly merging half the worlds onto one plane...? He can't afford not to keep his ear to the ground.
So he sits, tucked away in a booth at this magic tavern, half-meditating and half-eavesdropping; if there's chatter to be heard, he wants in on it. No such thing as being too prepared. Also, he'd really love to know what these rumors about stones are: artifacts, or something more?
Stephen clutches his mug of tea, letting the stability of the porcelain and the dwindling warmth of the water steady his hands. They ache, sometimes (most of the time, actually), and though his scars are starting to fade some, the trembling remains a persistent annoyance, if not reminder. You'll never operate again, Doctor.
Not all surgery is done with a scalpel, he thinks, before lifting the tea and draining the rest of it. Maybe some tasseomancy to pass the time as his grey eyes scan the room for newcomers.]
BEAUTIFUL
Loki had been torn about where he should flee at first, but soon the answer became obvious.
Midgard.
The trickster had rallied to help Thor when Malekith threatened to end the universe, and again there was a looming threat that was not only a hazard to all of existence once more, but one that Loki happened to take personally. Thanos had his underlings torture him and attempt to make him a puppet before in his pursuit of the infinity stones. This time he was not going to let himself be tricked into allying with the Mad Titan, but rather hoped to undermine his efforts by collecting the stones first.
Unfortunately, such a task was greater than any single person. He required assistance, but from whom? Loki already knew the glaringly obvious answer, even as he sat in the magic tavern and tried to deny that he needed to find Thor and make contact with him. Naturally the idea did not sit well, not after he'd tricked the poor fool once again with his 'death.' But what choice did he have?
With a sigh, Loki leaned back in his chair and tapped at the smartphone he'd secured a few days ago after arriving on Midgard. He disguised himself easily enough by wearing a pair of bluejeans, a plain brown sweater, and a pair of black-rimmed glasses. He'd cut his hair to a more reasonable length and left it loose rather than in its usual slicked-back style. No illusions here- he didn't want to be caught through carelessness.
What he did wish to do was track the recent exploits of the Avengers. He surfed the web on his mobile, looking for news stories and gossip columns that might give him a clue as to what had been happening as of late. Whether this was a wise information gathering tactic or just more stalling was unknown to even himself.]

Scrying is low-level, straightforward, and requires almost no energy. The leaves curl around the sides of the cup, forming what looks like two small snakes or tendrils. Now that's interesting. Hands only slightly trembling, he lifts the mug and tilts it into the light, noticing a hand and five dots.
Hm.
A bright light goes on nearby, illuminating the face of a stranger, and it catches Stephen's eye. Technology is fairly commonplace in this bar, even for mystics, but having become something of a regular here (being Sorcerer Supreme, one's reputation precedes them whether they like it or not), a new face intrigues him more.
There's something familiar and alien all at once in this man, hidden behind the too-casual demeanor. Hilariously, sorcerers aren't known for their subtlety in the way of sartorial choices, so someone this casual sticks out in a magic bar like Stephen himself would in his full cloak and garb. A tingling in the edges of his psyche, and he decides why not.
Strange slides out of the booth, grasping his scarlet cloak (now in a casual form of a elaborate neck-scarf), and returns the mug to the closest bar-top.]
Impressive. I can barely get any signal in here.
[partly because he eschews mobile phones (hands) and partly because he has little time to be distracted on the Internet unless it's research.]

As a result, he's startled when a man standing not far from his side speaks to him. Loki quickly switches off the display screen to hide the article he'd been reading about Thor sightings in New York and places the phone face-down on the counter in front of him. A beer sits a few inches from his hand, clearly untouched. Distractions had made him forget he'd even ordered it.]
Perhaps you should consider switching carriers.
[His tone is clipped, cold and decidedly unfriendly. Perhaps that would be different if he could recognize the sorcerer supreme by sight. Such a person would be an invaluable ally to be sure, but he also could be a terrible enemy.
Loki, ultimately, is not rushing to reveal his identity to just anybody. It would be a shame to lose before even having a chance to play the game.]

But he has learned to be polite in his dealings, as one doesn't know what sorts of behavior could offend a new acquaintance. (Gods, especially, seem prone to easy offense.)
He tips his head, stretching to wrap the scarf around his neck. A glint of gold catches in the dimmed lighting; the Eye of Agamotto peeking from under his collar. A powerful talisman and divination implement that many covet, but only one may possess.]
Verizon isn't too kind with their roaming charges to pocket dimensions. [have some of his trademark dry wit. He makes to leave.] But I've interrupted you.
Should finish the beer. It's pretty damn good for an ale.

[Several of the tavern's patrons, as well as the bartender himself, pause in their activities to stare at Loki after his sudden outburst. Cursing his momentary lack of care, he quickly pulls his hand back and waits a second until attention is no longer focused in his direction.]
I shouldn't have snapped at you. Please, allow me to buy you a drink.
[Wise or not, he can't make such a determination so quickly. All Loki knows is that there is a possible opportunity here, one that he can't allow to slip away without exploring.]

Stephen clears his throat as the room returns to its doings, and acquiesces with a nod, sliding into the adjacent chair.
He peels the scarf from around his neck, and drapes it across his lap. The hem of it seems to curl a little around his knee rather than strictly lying inert.]
I make it a point to seek out newcomers. [as much a precaution as it is courtesy. A beat passes.] Stephen Strange.

He doesn't respond until he's ordered a second beer for his new companion. He keeps his voice low, not wishing to draw attention to himself again.]

[It isn't a question so much as a statement. Given who Loki suspects this to be that would make sense, along with the fact that he'd singled him out for comment. But if he does know, what will he do with that knowledge? Call SHIELD? The Avengers?]

He sees Loki's eyes flitting down to the Eye compulsively. Right now he has a lot of breadcrumbs, but nothing concrete. His intuition is already hard at work assembling clues, getting a sense of the aura next to him- this one is difficult to parse. He's old, has quiet strength, but is also hiding.]

He feigns mild embarrassment and pulls the beer closer to himself.]

a small shake of his head as he wraps his hands around his own drink. A patient? Why does he always finds himself coming across various sorts of doctors whenever he meets mortals?]

[But Loki fidgets in his uncertainty, fingers tapping against the glass bottle. He wants to ask about the Eye, about what Stephen is up to currently and the extent of his powers. But how can he ask such questions while keeping his own identity a secret?]
You mentioned that you seek out newcomers. Is there any particular reason why?

Instead he attempts to refocus his attention on Strange, from glances at that talisman to observations about his person in general. The way he holds his bottle is odd. Then again, he can't claim to know whether or not that might simply be the custom for some humans.

Everyone. [Not entirely a lie. Loki can't think of a single person left in the Nine Realms who doesn't see him as an enemy or who can be trusted.] That sounds horribly pathetic, doesn't it?

Strange respects the rules of the house, but he has to know. So he brings the recent images in his tea to mind, and turns the bottle in his hands.]

His lips thin at the question about serpents, and Loki wonders if he's moments away from working out his identity without any outside help. Perhaps... it might be worthwhile to take the plunge and reveal it himself.
The thought of finding some sort of camaraderie almost pushes him to do so. Judging by Strange's demeanor as a whole, he feels an unexpected hint of confidence that he won't be met with absolute hatred by admitting who he is.]
I can guess what you're trying to do, and I understand your curiosity. [He leans in a little closer, keeping his voice quiet in case anyone might try and overhear.] Loki, of Asgard. Don't make me regret confiding in you.

His eyebrows lift. Loki? The Loki? This just got interesting. Strange looks pleasantly surprised, but not put off. Everything makes sense now. Serpents- his ancient sigil.
He laughs, a little incredulous. What a day. ]

[Strange is new enough in the game not to know every high-level sorcerer that's out there, at least not personally. He knows his history, knows the legends, and he has so many questions. Questions the Ancient One didn't necessarily answer before bestowing the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme upon him.]

Another grave threat looms over our worlds. I happen to have special knowledge about it thanks to some past... circumstances.

[an informed hypothesis based on the direct hit from his scrying so far. Loki might be in possession of one or more, or perhaps he is searching for them, or maybe even wants to destroy them. Best to determine which.]

You know I'm the bearer of Agamotto's Eye- that means I'm capable of far more than anyone else in this bar. If history is to be believed, you're an opportunist...and I'm as good of an opportunity as it gets. Given your current circumstances, I'd say it is you who would be earning my trust, not the other way 'round.
[He lifts his beer, trusting his hand not to shake as he steadies it against his lip.]
Good luck on getting your hands on them, though. Gonna be tough whilst on the lam. [He takes a pull of the beer, no novice to this kind of interplay. He didn't have the run of an entire surgical wing of the top city hospital for nothing.]

[Clearly the best option, and yet, there's no reason to make Strange believe he is needed. Loki would much prefer dealing with Thor than willingly entering into an agreement with someone whom he barely knows and has little reason to trust.]

[While he is absolutely not welcome back to the Golden City, there are ways to sneak in and keep himself hidden, if only for a short while.]

The question now is: does Loki want an ally, or a pawn? And perhaps just as critical, can he afford an opponent?]
Might be.... Would this knowledge include why you don't have it in your possession right now?
