[There is a Demyx by the pool. He was going to play his sitar, maybe do some of his fun magic-y stuff, but. There appears to be an occupant in the water, so. Maybe not. It's a pretty big occupant, after all. He can't remember whether or not he's ever even seen a dragon before, aside from a screen, or a book, or an album cover, or- but this is definitely a dragon. He walks over to the edge, cautiously, because he still remembers a dog with three heads, a dog with a shield, and a duck. He prepares himself to portal away immediately.]

Uh, hi.

Hi yourself! Sorry am I taking up too much room?

[The dragon immediatley sits upright, making water splash up over the side. She actually hadn't taken it into consideration others might have actually wanted to use the pool, but that was one Nivalis 'Saft' Goldenscale for you. Sometimes the dragon took over and she couldn't help letting herself be just a little greedy at times.]

My bad. I just saw the water here and really felt like I had to dive right in, yanno?

[Dragon status: talks, not killing him, and also nice? Okay, this is dealable. He breathes, so to speak, a little bit easier now. He grins a little, because friendly dragon is a cause for it!]

Not really, I mean. I just guess I didn't see you before. And, I was going to use some of my water, but, you're using it, so I guess I could just wait.

[And oh no, the dragon was rising up, ready to kill him and eat him anyway, okay, stick arm out to summon- Okay. No, it's fine. Just sitting up. Okay. Okay, this was cool. He brightens again at the other statement.]

When I get out to it! I've been dying to visit the beaches where I live but my Grand-Uncle's kinda forbid me going out into the ocean because apparently it's [Rolling her eyes at this next part.] dangerous.

To be honest, I'm more of a land and sky sort of person...er dragon...er Hmm... You know what? Just call me "Saft".

[Yup, You're in luck Demyx. Saft is a pretty super friendly dragon and she loves meeting new people, especially ones who she might be able to convert into convincing that not all dragons are actually out to hurt people.] I can change if you want to, that way I won't take up so much space.

Grand-Uncle? Why're they dangerous? Back in the City, where I was for a long time, the ocean just kind of, ended, I guess? Like a wall or something. Not that I wanted to get out, anyway.

And, okay. Saft? [It does not occur to him to introduce himself. Generally, if people (or Safts) wanted to know, they ask.] It's just, you usually don't associate dragons with water, because, you know. [He claws a hand and breathes out of his mouth, trying to imitate what he's seen.] Fire breath.

[He tilts his head, confused.]

Change? Uh, I mean, like, clothing? I don't think that would really affect anything. Anyway, I'm wasn't really planning on getting in. Just, sort of using the water.

Well, where I'm from I guess there's all kind of dragons with all different abilities...it's kind of hard to explain. I know a little flame magic and some basic shape-shifting magic but that's about it. I'm apparently too young to learn anything else just yet.

[She tilts her head.] Uh, don't think I got your name there.

[sitaronthewater]

Really? Huh, I never knew that. That sounds pretty cool! I knew a guy with fire magic, but he never really liked my water, so, I guess it was just him, huh? [He laughs a little.] Shape-shifting? Like what?

[Blink. Oh!] Right, I'm Demyx.

Well, mostly we just hide out in human forms so humans won't feel threatened by our presence. I don't think I've ever heard of a dragon using their magic to hide out as anything else.

Oh- Hey, is that what you meant by changing? That's pretty cool. I never knew anyone who could shape-shift. Water's the best, anyway, though.
