Apocalypse Meme
Taken from here

Welp. However it happened there goes the neighborhood. And the world. Drat it.
Time to survive! Good thing you've got that one other person there at your side to do it with.
Step 1: Post your character name and canon, plus any apocalyptic preferences you have (or things you'd rather not do, like...strange...things you'd rather not do.)
Step 2: Someone else tags your character and rolls up a setting. Optionally they could roll up a relationship role, too, if they haven't already got one in mind.
Step 3: GO FORTH AND SURVIVE! YOU CAN DO IT!

Step 3: GO FORTH AND SURVIVE! YOU CAN DO IT!
1 Zombies ate our neighbors - It finally happened, the zombies came shuffling to war and ate everyone. Now it's just you and...you and maybe a small group of yous surviving. Are you safe somewhere? Are you holed up fighting them? Are you looking for the cure? Surviving as long as you can? Or have you finally stopped the invasion and now it's time to rebuild?
2 Robots enslaved our neighbors - I TOLD YOU THIS WOULD HAPPEN! Someone made an AI that finally got offended by all the porn it was forced to filter through and decided humans were good for one thing: target practice. Or, possibly, slaves to work for it, or even slaves to 'protect' them. Whatever the reason, the population is miniature, life sucks, and the only good machine is a broken machine. Are you workers looking for a way to survive or escape? Are you the resistance, fighting the good fight? Are you staging a coup and nearly complete? HAS JOHN CONNOR FINALLY SUCCEEDED?
3 A giant...cosmic obliterated our neighbors - What do you know, it really wasn't a speck on the telescope, and exploding the meteor may have just made it worse. Or the high solar flare activityreally was indicative of something horrible. HOW did that black HOLE get near enough to wreck havoc on the planet yet conveniently leave it passably livable on? Are you lucky enough to have won one of those lotteries for a shelter that actually survived and are hiding out? Did running for the hills really work? Is it time to regroup and rebuild? Have you already started? ...Where did the moon go?
4 World War III wiped out our neighbors - Someone finally fell asleep on the big red button that must never be pushed and rained fiery death on the world. There...may have been politics involved, it's all a bit fuzzy now. But the fighting has finally stopped only because there's no one left to hold the weapons any longer. Humanity is left in pockets which were too small and out of the way to bother to blow up. How are your supplies? Is everyone around you friendly, or are you on a border? Are there borders left? Has it been ages now and you've settled in and started up a new life?
5 Aliens got our neighbors - Oh snap they were RIGHT, the truth really WAS out there. And now it's come to Earth for resources or slaves or a quick snack or a woefully inadequate challenge. There's only a few of you left now, are you alien slaves? Cattle? Are you hiding out in tiny groups waiting until they get bored with the planet and leave? Are you rallying to drive them out--or lead a suicide charge? Have they been repelled or buggered off on their own now and it's time to rebuild with some added alien tech?
6 Natural disasters swept away our neighbors - Oh man, there goes the North Pole. Something has gone wrong, maybe volcanoes have decided people ignore them too much in horror movies lately, maybe the Earth's decided to give the macarana a try and pulled a few things along the way. A few gigantic fissures enveloping most of humanity. Is the disaster ongoing? Will it ever end? Has everything calmed down now (has it?)? Did you get to safety or just weather it out? What do now? Who managed to survive all that?
7 Disease killed our neighbors - No not the RED PILL! After all that effort keeping people away from the vial marked 'zombies' someone went and spilled 'eerily specific contagion'! This super virus has annihilated most of humanity through one way or another, perhaps by transmorphing them into horrible monsters, or perhaps by turning them into goo. Maybe only certain types of people or certain ages went down, but the point is, they're down. Did you make it to a safe area? Is everyone really clean here? Are there plans being made to release an antigen to the people? Or is there no hope for it and you'll have to make do with your life inside a sterile and safe place forever, or possibly go and make friends with the new, hungry locals?
8 Culture collapsed on our neighbors - It was bound to happen eventually. Someone finally did something dumb enough to get culture to implode on itself. Or more likely, something atrocious happened which may or may not have involved a creepily detailed plan by an ambitious governmental official with a beard that happened to land the position of Supreme Director Highness of the World when it's all said and done. Is all of culture completely annihilated now? Or are you trapped in a freakishly totalitarian world where no one really quite realizes how little freedom they have left, because freaky striped beard highness is keeping them safe from a long dead threat? Do you realize it? Do you have a plan to show the world, or are you just trying to survive and find some semblance of your old freedoms in your daily life?
9 The Earth exploded our neighbors - Well, snap. Something actually happened so terrible there IS NO EARTH left. Not enough to survive anyway. Probably. Assuming you haven't been blatantly lied to. Anyway, now you're in space on a shuttle or a space station. Possibly with just one other person or a handful, or maybe even a group of similar survivors. There may not be atmosphere, but there's air, and there may not be day and night, but you get a spectacular view of stars and the sun at any time of the day...and if you're lucky, maybe the moon. Are you still shell-shocked? Is this normal for you now? Are there plans to return to Earth? Or might there be a nefarious plot behind all of this that you just might be accidentally stumbling upon?
10 Guys WHERE ARE OUR NEIGHBORS? - WAIT WHERE DID EVERYONE GO? NO SERIOUSLY, I HAVE NO IDEA. So pick a scenario or make something up.
Optionally
1 - Uncanny allies: You never would have ended up working together before, but now there's not much choice, so maybe it isn't so bad.
2 - The last two on Earth: So when you said "I wouldn't date you if you were the last person on Earth" you were kidding, right? Babies? Survival of the species? Yes? ....No...?
3 - Old enemies: You hate each other, but problems are bigger than who stole your girlfriend and who drowned your cat or accidentally murdered the love of your life. There's the entire species and your own survival to think about. Maybe you should shelve trying to kill each other? Maybe?
4 - Star crossed lovers: It'd figure the only time we'd meet is at the end of the world, we're just too perfect for each other for the world to let it happen any other way.
5 - Makeshift family: Everyone's family is probably dead, everyone's friends are gone, all you've got is each other. Maybe you're not so bad, chum. I'm gonna call you sis from now on, okay?
6 - Suddenly equal: Maybe one of you were boss, maybe one of you haappppenned to be in handcuffs when the world inconveniently exploded or something, maybe one of you were royalty of some sort but that's all irrelevant now, and you're going to have to work and live as equals now if you expect to survive. Deal with it.
7 - Ex-friends/lovers: Once upon a time you guys were inseparable. Someone made fun of a lost button, someone else might have cheated, and the two of you just kind of drifted apart. Now you're inseparable again, because there's nowhere else to go. Can you maybe get over your squabbling now and see that the person you cared about is still there underneath the bickering?
8 - Two...people...who have met: Figure it out, mix up one of the above or something.
2 Robots enslaved our neighbors - I TOLD YOU THIS WOULD HAPPEN! But not before taking out Katara with a bolt of lightning. Aang, having no method to redirect it, could only watch as the girl he loved fell. In his Avatar State, he brought the Fire Nation to ruin. Only a few managed to survive it.
A month had passed since then. Rumors abounded that the Avatar remained locked in a state of pure rage. Instead of liberating Ba Sing Se, it and the rest of the Earth Kingdom purportedly suffered the same fate. For those still alive in the Fire Nation, it was a far off rumor. No one knew what was true.
Sokka was among the survivors. In the aftermath, it didn't matter whether you had been one of the invaders or part of the Fire Nation. All that mattered was survival. Sokka had been the lone survivor of the Avatar's friends. Armed with only the clothes on his back and a few weapons, he'd managed to survive. Always looking for some sign that maybe he wasn't the only one left. Someone from the Water Tribe, his father perhaps, might still be out there. Or Toph. Anyone.
One month later, Sokka stood in the ruins of the capital city. Empty. Quiet. Everything of value had long been looted. But somehow he felt like if he was going to find any of his old allies, then this would be the place. He couldn't be alone, right?]

It was easy to live on her own, mainly because the resources in the city were practically all hers. There was no one else around, at least no one else that she could find that she let live very long. And the Princess had little intentions of leaving her home-- mainly because she doubted any other country was faring that well, anyway. Besides, this was her home. This was her country. She would stick by it, even when it was nothing.
She had convinced someone to teach her how to garden, one of the few survivors that she let continue to live, which was surprisingly easy due to the rich soil now abundant in her nation. Right in the middle of the city, where her palace used to be. Which is where she's going now, strolling aimlessly to pluck a few peppers up for dinner.
But she stops as she sees the back of an unfamiliar form. ]
Hello?
no subject
It was a foe alright. Just not one he expected. Someone he never thought he'd see alive again. Or would want to for that matter. Eyes narrowed, he assumed a defensive stance.]
Azula.

[ There really wasn't a reason to attack unless he went first. He deserved to live just as much as she did, and she was certain he wouldn't stick around here for much longer. The princess moves past him, cautious in case he tried to attack, and crouches down to her little vegetable plot so she can examine the vegetables. ]
What brings you to the city, or did you want to end my line once and for all?
no subject
I figured you were dead already. I was looking for someone.
no subject
[ Azula picks a few peppers and rubs them with her sleeve, setting them in her lap. She plucks a squash from the ground and tosses it at him. ]
Hungry?
no subject
How do I know this food is safe? [Because. He is hungry. He hasn't eaten since yesterday morning.]
no subject
Happy?
no subject
I'm never happy. [But he'll take the squash now. Given how hungry he is, he's not too concerned about making a mess.]
no subject
no subject
Anyone.

no subject
[A sigh. Okay, he's going to sit somewhere. He's been walking such a long time now. And it's been weeks since he talked to anyone.]
So why aren't you attacking me yet?
no subject

no subject
[She wouldn't be the first person he ran into that just wanted him dead because of his association with the Avatar.]
no subject
no subject
[Part of him hasn't looked too hard. Because the thought that maybe someone back home is still alive is what keeps him going.]
no subject
no subject
Wait.
no subject
no subject
But she's all that's left.]
What are you going to do?

[Though he's impressed. He never figured the princess to be a capable hunter. But then, he supposes circumstances has left her no choice.]
