"What a beautiful wedding!" said the bridesmaid to a waiter
The Wedding Reception Meme

Someone got married! Maybe it was you, maybe it was someone you know. Either way, you're now at a reception - as an invited guest, part of the entourage, tending the bar, waiting on guests, or just married! Time to make some memories - good ones or bad ones, whatever they are will be up to you!
Some prompts if you need them:
1. Take a spin on the dance floor - with the bride, the groom, your +1, or a friend. Is it something classic, or something silly? The Chicken Dance, or Take My Breath Away?
2. Mingling! - catch up with friends and family you haven't seen in a while. brush up on your small talk, you might need it to fill some dead air now and then...
3. Line up at the buffet table - how will you know if those delicacies are real unless you question them...? Save space for the cake!
4. Grab a seat at the bar - because it's not a party without drinks! toast the happy couple, but try and go easy on the champagne.
5. Bouquet or garter toss - did you catch it? .... did you even want to? Time to slide the garter up a leg - try not to be awkward about it!
6. Avoid the in-laws - or your pesky distant relatives, that colleague you can't stand... Grab a friend and try to look busy, or find a place to hide!
7. Smile! - if you're in the 21st century, chances are high that pics will be online before the night is over; try not to get caught in an unflattering pose!
8. Dragged here against your will - bah!! weddings!!! you didn't even want to be here. you're counting down the minutes til it's OK to leave and hoping no one keeps you from going.
9. Obligatory ship option - slow dances, confessions, a quickie in a bathroom stall... something about weddings tends to inspire romance or something.
10. 25 minutes too late - obligatory drama option. you're here as a formality, or as a favor, but you wish it was you at the altar.
11. Why can't we have nice things?! - be it aliens or some hostile takeover or explosions, it's something. Here's looking at you, ASoIaF and every Marvel/DC wedding ever.
12. Wildcard - make up your own scenario!
