rescue romance.

rescue romance.

They saved you. It doesn't matter what from - captivity, danger, an unwanted "relationship," certain destruction - and, in the end, it doesn't even matter if they rescued you on purpose or if you were freed on accident, as an extension of what they do, as a duty, because you're a commodity, or just to screw with whoever had you in their clutches (the enemy of my enemy, and all that). A part of you feels like you owe them, despite it all.

But soon enough, "feelings" become the problem. Like some kind of twisted yet somehow more positive version of Stockholm syndrome, your heart opens, you warm up, your emotions muddle...still, do they mirror you, or are is this another way for you to be hurt?

[Is it alright for him to be the rescuer?]

[They were being attacked. The Lannisters had sent their gold cloaks out to attack any who went against King Joffrey and the queen. That meant Robb and Brienne it seemed. Arrows flew across their heads, as Robb pulled Brienne under a stone bridge for protection. The girl was as tall and seemed just as strong as him, so pulling her under the bridge was no easy feat.]

I think we've lost them for now.

[ It probably did not help that Brienne was decidedly unwilling to be pulled anywhere at all in spite of the arrow that had burried itself deeply in her thigh. If anything she seemed intent on taking on every single gold cloak all on her own. ]

Unlikely. They could see us well enough to shoot at us.

[ Her point being that their position was most likely not unknown to the enemy. ]

[Robb knew she was probably right. He also noticed the arrow sticking out of her thigh. He would have to help her remove that so that she didn't get an infection.]

Let us wait until they have gone past then I'll help get that arrow out. [He kept his back against the wall of the bridge and didn't hear any footsteps nor any arrows hitting the bridge.]

[ Brienne too was leaning against the wall, doing her best to ignore the pain in her leg though it was more difficult now that she was not quite as distracted by battle. ]

I suppose we have little choice.

It seems we don't. How is your leg? Can you walk? [Because her being able to walk was important when they could be followed and hunted down like dogs.]

I can have Grey Wind distract them whilst we find some shelter away from here.
