 The Abrupt Kissing Meme

 

 

Plain and simple: your character is being kissed. Abruptly. How did this happen? Were they talking too much to the point where it was the only way to shut them up? Was someone bidding adieu or just not able to hold in their feelings? Or was this some CPR class gone bad? More importantly—how do they react?

How this works:
→ Leave a comment with the usual information in the subject line: character name, fandom. Any preferences, including what you don't want, should be included as well. Congratulations, your character is being kissed by whoever tags them!
→ Tag around.
→ Feel free to roll RNG (1-9) if you cannot come up with scenarios of your own. 
→ Have fun, and be excellent to each other!

[they're on a rooftop under the perpetually setting sun of Twilight Town, ice cream in hand. Who knows how or why...? All that matters is the rare calm sweeping over them both.]

So, kid. Whaddya think?

[Well, the ice cream helps with the whole calm thing. He gets the feeling he sort of zoned out there for a second though, because the question he's being asked doesn't make much sense - did he miss something? He probably missed something.]

Wait, about what?

[pyros]

[Axel reaches over, lightly prodding the middle of Sora's forehead with a gloved finger.]

The ice cream. D'you like it?

[He seems oddly interested in Sora's answer to his question.]

[consocius]

[Sora frowns lightly at the poke to his forehead but shakes it off. He eats some more of the sea-salt ice cream, taking small bites since it's so cold, before he answers.]

Hm? Yeah. It's really good. I like it. [The odd interest is noted, but not commented on... Because it's Axel, and Axel is odd. This is not new.] Cold, though. [It's ice cream, Sora.]

[pyros]

[Axel blinks, then laughs abruptly, an almost feral glint to his eye as he leans in.]

Too cold for ya? I could warm you up.

[It slips out before he can restrain the words, not that restraint was ever his best quality. He actually blushes faintly at realizing what he's just said, and turns his attention back to his own ice cream, mumbling around the bar.]

I mean... it is ice cream.

[consocius]

[Sora's first thought is to jump to Axel's affinity for fire and assume that he was being threatened with that, but... No, actually, the euphemism is not completely lost on him, as is evident by the light blush that springs up on his face after he considers Axel's words for more than a minute.

He tries to cover up by eating more quickly and focusing on the ice cream. But this just leads to...]

Urgh! Brain freeze!

[Yeah, that. He rubs his forehead with the palm of his hand.]

[Axel's focusing on his own treat, so he misses the blush on Sora's cheeks. The boy's sudden yelp of pain startles him out of his reverie, however, and he blinks over at Sora before giving a crooked smile and reaching over to rest his hand on the back of Sora's neck.]

Slow down, kid.

INDEED. Also wow this is late, I'm sorry!

[consocius]

[Geez, after what Axel had said and now with the touch to his neck, well it doesn't matter that Sora's blush was missed the first time around because it's back now.

He clears his throat once the pain fades, staring down at the half-eaten ice cream in his hand.]

So what's with the ice cream, anyway?

[Because beyond Axel's odd interest in whether or not Sora liked it, for some reason it just felt kind of important. Familiar? Maybe that's why it was relaxing. When he wasn't eating it too fast, anyway.]
