Completely Pampered Shipping Meme Who in the world could hate kindness? Sweetness? Conscientiousness? All of us, on some level, like to be pampered and taken care of, from the most churlish to the most pleasant. Yes, even those grouchy grumps, or, of course, the cool-headed psychos - Okay, maybe not all of us to the same degree. Regardless of your disposition, somehow, you've gained a doting significant other. It seems like they find their greatest pleasure in taking care of and looking out for you. This may manifest in them simply trying to keep you entertained, happy, and healthy; it could also come in the form of them being a domestic doter, taking care of all your needs. Be it the former or the latter, there's an inherent adorableness that comes with their efforts and generosity, and in return, you have an urge to protect and care for them. They're just too precious for this world! Only, you know, there's a good chance you can a. ignore this, because you're emotionally stunted and full of wo/manpain, or b. repress it because you're a badass and would never. [going to the store late at night isn't something she usually does, but with her parents out of town on business trips, taking care of the house and doing the shopping was up to her. after practice, she'd rushed home to finish an assignment, and now her stomach is rumbling something awful and they're out of toilet paper.

she has a bag in each hand, which means she has to juggle them to get to her phone when it starts ringing.]

Hey I have a question about practice tomorrow. [wait. the bigger question here is why does she sound chipper at like 12 in the morning? she's usually asleep at this time.]

[crap, her clipboard with the practice information on it is on her desk at the house.] Can I call you back? I'm out at the store and don't have my stuff on hand.

What the hell are you doing out so late Satsuki? Do you know what time it is?!

I needed to get some stuff for tomorrow! It'll be too late if I wait and get it in the morning, so. [the store isn't far from her house, so she didn't think it was a big deal.] I didn't realize it was quite this late, though....

So you decided to go at midnight?!

I didn't think it was a big deal. [his continued reminder about the time is starting to make her notice things, like how dark it is outside and how poorly lit the street she's on is.] I wasn't thinking. I'm sorryyyyyyy.

[he heaves a sigh.] Please tell me you're still at the convenience store....

Yeah, I haven't left. I'm just kind of standing right outside the door, by the vending machine.

Good, stay there. And go towards the counter where the cashier is at least. [there are creepers out there, practically goes unsaid.]

Okay, I will. [hopefully the worker won't fuss at her for loitering. and then in a begrudging, pouting voice, she says] Thank you.

[for a few minutes, the employee doesn't really mind having her stand outside. he's nice enough about it, but when other people start cmoing into the store, he shoos her outside and tells her she can wait under the awning just outside the door. it's a pretty small convenience store, so it's not like there's a ton of room, so she doesn't think he's trying to be an asshole; she's just kind of in the way.

and for a while, it's fine. the other customers trickle out, but it's cooler outside, and the stars are nice to look at too. she's close enough to the door that she should be fine, right?

not right. apparently she forgot to take into account how belligerent drunk salarymen are. it isn't like she has a lot of experience with guys twice her age, and since she's not in her uniform, they apparently think she's old enough to be a legitimate option.]

Really, I have someone coming to pick me up right now, so please-

[they cut her off, laughing, and while it isn't overtly threatening (none of them have touched her or made any move to get in her personal space), they've got her cornered in a little semi-circle and clearly aren't letting her pass.]

[and this is why you don't go to konbinis at ass o'clock satsuki. you get picked up by weirdos like that. at least aomine is here to save the day. bc you know, he totally hauled ass to get here just to make sure that she was okay and unharmed. he's not going to brag about that though.

he looms up behind her and manages to scare most of them away thankfully. except save for one who was persistent as fuck. he's far too gone so he'll just shove the other away before he even makes the move to reach for satsuki.

and with him taken care of, he grabs satsuki's wrist and tugs her along with him.]

Promise me that you'll never go out this late again.

[aomine was scary on a good day; he just had a very intense expression on his face almost all the time, and if he wasn't talking or making or smiling, it was easy to mistake it for anger. but when he actually was angry, he was downright terrifying, as was evidenced by how the salarymen scattered, the one straggler actually falling over from the force of his shove before scuttling away after his co-workers.

it would have been pretty funny if her heart wasn't going a mile a minute, adrenaline making her chest feel tight even as she visibly relaxed at his presence.]

I promise. I...I really just wasn't thinking. [she feels bad, because even if he isn't going to admit it, he clearly sprinted all the way over. she lets him tug her away, walking close and slipping her hand down to grasp his properly.] I'm sorry for making you come all this way.

[he huffs out a sigh as he pauses to let satsuki more properly grasp his hand. he even interlocks his fingers with hers. is he going to say anything on the matter though? helllll no. is the back of his neck and the tips of his ears going to flush bright red as he does this? helllll yes.

once that's taken care of he continues on back to satsuki's house. this time at a much more tolerable pace than what he was going at moments ago.]

Tch-- it's fine. I wish you would have given me a call before you decided to do this.

[when their fingers interlock, she gives them a squeeze, her heartbeat slowly starting to return to normal despite how warm her cheeks feel. a quick glance up confirms that at least she's not alone in blush city. his skin is so dark, so it's adorable when he actually gets flustered enough to turn red.]

We're out of chart paper, and I really need to draw out the new formations tonight before tomorrow's morning practice. If I went to the store before school, they wouldn't be done in time and I'd be late.
