Healing doesn't come quickly, whether the need comes from physical or mental wounds. But you're trying regain your strength - and yourself.

People, as a general rule, are kind, or at least not outright inflammatory to you, it seems. Still, you just can't connect with them. No matter how nice, how caring, they don't understand. They've never experienced anything like what you've gone through, or they're not like you in a way that lets them see what you still go through; they have no frame of reference. Sure, they have sympathy, but it's not the same. So there's no real connection, despite any friendliness. It's so easy, then, to feel detached...

...until you meet them, in this place of both death and healing.

They may not have been through the exact same struggles, they may not be exactly the same as you, but they know what darkness is light. How they handle this fact may be better or worse than how you do, yet you can see yourself in their actions. And for once? There's connection; more than that, too. Slowly, you can feel yourself opening up towards them, and then, falling for them.

Is this something your used to? Will you fight your feelings, or will you jump at the opportunity to be with someone who can begin to get you? You may have little choice in the matter, as your instincts may just reach out to be with whatever compatible contact you can get. That's better, in the long run, though. Who else could have wounds like yours?

Essentially, it's what it says: a "romance," in the loose definition, or "shipping" meme for characters who have been through the wringer or have hangups.

[If she's the one with hangups, here are a few prompts you could use (but not limited to):
* Rejection by her canon crush (or he just starts dating someone else, still oblivious to her feelings)
* Fretting over her powers, as not everyone thinks they're super awesome; some have called her a monster, or said 'no HUMAN should have powers like that'
* Literal healing, after being injured in a fight/attack
* Feeling left behind as she's not a strong fighter like her friends

Up to you! And OF COURSE she's up to being the healer. Or the healing can be mutual.]

(This guy spent his early life as a slave, and was seen as a kind of pariah for being half human. I'm playing him from endgame so he's worked through a lot of stuff and has won the respect of his fellow Deimos (He's the ruler of two tribes and is working on uniting the whole species), but does have some underlying insecurities about his worth and the way he looks. Also, he's 17, so let me know if you prefer aged up.)

[This kid:

-is the last surviving member of his alien civilization

-has latent memories of his original homeworld so the first point WAS a huge problem for him.

-most of his friends are trapped in subspace (ES Space) and presumed dead

-prior to the previous bullet point, in order to save Earth, he set events into motion that killed one of his friend's fiance, and never got a chance to say that he's sorry.

-related to the two above, the people he had to stop to save Earth? He esentially had to betray his own people who were..... misguided to say the least.

That all being said, Mamoru is also pretty capable about helping others, though!]

[Can be either role. If he's the one being healed, he's got some issues as a result of the two wars he fought in. They contain a lot of painful memories for him, and they sometimes interfere with his sleep or his decision-making. For the latter, he tends to overcompensate with anything he can do to help, sometimes to self-destructive extremes.]

If he's the one being tended to, he has a few things, such as the memory of the terrorist attack that killed his parents and little sister, as well as his last girlfriend turning out to be a sleeper agent and being tragically killed in battle. He's pretty good at putting the past behind him, but sometimes he needs the extra help.]

[Can be either role, though expect him to put on an air of reluctance either way. If he's being tended to, the main thing to keep in mind is that, during an invasion of his homeland, he neglected his duty as a bodyguard to his elder. This resulted not only in his elder being assassinated, but he was accused of the murder and had to fight his way out of imprisonment, then had to fend off multiple assassins from his village who tried to kill or capture him. And the last one was his own brother.

tl;dr, he's been accused (and would most likely be convicted) of a crime he didn't commit, fought his way out of imprisonment, had to kill his own brother to avoid capture, and is currently a fugitive.]

Helena was born into an organized crime family, the Bertinellis of Gotham City. She witnessed the assassination of her mother, father and little brother as a young girl, and was sent to Sicily to be raised by relatives of her mother's. The relatives were, of course, mafia assassins because comics, and her cousin taught her to fight in secret as she grew up.
When the Italian police cracked down on organized crime, the people she'd come to know as her new family were exposed to her as criminals and murderers and locked away in prison, and she went away to boarding school.
As a woman, she became the Huntress to take on the criminal organizations that had stolen her family and her childhood.

Despite being a faithful Catholic, chastity has never been a strong suit, nor has she ever really managed to get close to anyone for much of a romantic relationship. It's been a long string of one-night stands and the like.

Oh, sure, as a member of the Time-Space Administration Bureau, she wasn't actively in contact with the mysterious Oracle, but her times on Earth certainly put her in touch and lead to a few meetings with the mysterious info broker.

This time, she decided to make an appearance on her own volition, wanting to check in to see if everything was alright.

"Oracle? Are you here?" she called out as she arrived in her operations room, making sure no one else heard her call.

Overall before the ending of two routes of FSN, Saber can be described as self-destructive who goes as far as wanting to erase her own existence as King Arthur by redoing the sword selection ceremony because of her insecurities and penchant to blame herself for absolutely everything. She also doesn't acknowledge herself as a person, she thinks she's unworthy of love or any kind of affection because she's not "human" in general she's a ball of issues under the surface and she's too proud to even ask help -and believe she deserves it-

She takes selflessness to the extreme, even before becoming a King. She always had these disregarding habits. Her foster brother Kay, for instance, in Garden of Avalon, stated she made him shudder in how she went with it. She'll spend all her day training to be king with Ector, and the few free hours, she should sleep, she would patrol villages or take care of horses. The three-two hours she seemly slept were actually more king training. Merlin, who is a half incubus and eats dreams, taught her how to be a king while she slept so she never rest.

She also accepted the burden of kingship knowing beforehand-thanks to Merlin's warning- she'll be resented, betrayed, abandoned and destroyed by the very people she defended. )
