WE JUST FINISHED ONE SO you pick 'verse
memory verse, after petre is back
They sit on a set of stairs to an enclosed station. Petre's hands are tucked on his lap, shivering just a little against the cold. It's a bright, white day. No rain, just clouds. He looks at John, eyes then lowered in a bashful little smile. Moments together, quiet and relaxed. He likes them. They're one of the things they lost when they lost each other, now found again.
The wind picks up. He inches his shoulders.]
John?
no subject
[He glances over, and when he sees how Petre is huddled up against the wind, wraps an arm around him to tuck his body in against his own side. Attentive in a way he's never been to anyone or anything else.]
What's up?
no subject
Show me your lighter.

Doesn't mean anything. The shark. It's just the first one I grabbed.
no subject
Do you remember when you first brought me here? You showed me all those things you could do.
no subject
[It's not such an odd thought, given where they are, but Petre's going way back. Maybe it's because he lost all of that for a time, but John still wants to make sure.]
Anything on your mind? Or just - remembering.
no subject
Show me again?

He can't remember exactly what he did, but the fire arcs from his open palm to the lighter and back again, then spreads down his hand like a glove before coalescing back in his hand. Idly, he sends spirals up each of his fingers, shooting them off the tips only to have them dissipate in midair.
Then he does remember part of what he did, and it brings on a snort of laughter.]
Too far from the fountain to recreate that one.

It may just be a little reminiscent of the other boy after all.]
You don't... [a breath. He realizes he's shivering.]
You should do that more often.
no subject
[He glances over at Petre, then furrows his brow at the look in his eyes.]
You - didn't like it that much back then.
no subject
[Which... could be a lie. He doesn't know. Thinking about it makes his head hurt. He likes it now.]
I like everything about you.
