single-bed meme

It's cozy, warm and very, very narrow; you're stuck sleeping in a single bed with someone else and have to endure/enjoy the situation until morning. Snuggle-time?

single-bed partnerships

• COMMENT WITH CHARACTER/SERIES IN THE HEADER (add prefs in comments as needed)
• ROLL 1-5 ON RNG FOR A CR PROMPT
• TAG AROUND!

01) FRIENDS you know the other person well.
02) LOVERS is this really such a bad place to 'sleep' together?
03) ENEMIES try not to stab each other in the night.
04) STRANGERS super awkward or getting along like a house on fire.
05) AUTHORITY one of you has a higher/lower social status for some reason.

When it came to Bonnie, it felt like things were always happening in circles. They chased each other, never quite in the same place at the same time. There was always so much to do, and so much to handle. It was almost as though their friends and lingering family thought of them as bit players in a larger melodrama. It was almost as if they were resources more than they were people.

But tonight, none of that should have mattered. Tonight, they were free to spend the night alone, hopefully without the interruption of a dozen frantic phone calls. Jeremy lay upside-down over the edge of the narrow bed, staring out at the hallway.

"So are you coming to bed yet? Whatever you're doing can wait until tomorrow, you know."

It wasn't like the world was ending.

Well. It probably wouldn't.

If the world was ending, Bonnie wouldn't have the foggiest idea: she'd turned her phone off, figuring that if Stefan or Damon actually needed her (as opposed to texting her out of convenience), they'd find her and drag her down to the Manor. Technically, Damon'd already done it once, so who was going to stop him the second time around?

"Sorry, I'll be just a sec," she called, glancing up at Jeremy from her laptop. "I'm almost done with this assignment."

Figures that homework - perfectly normal sociology homework - had been the only thing keeping them apart. Hastily typing up (and submitting) her assignment, she closed her laptop before joining him on the bed. "I just figured, if I could submit it now as opposed to next week, I wouldn't have to worry about the world ending and failing sociology."
