Vacation Time!

You've been planning this vacation for ages, down to the last detail and now it's time to go! Time to pack your bags and get on the road to wherever! Aren't you excited? Better savor that joy while it lasts, folks, because no vacation is without flaws and problems.
You know how this works. Comment with your character name in the subject line and any preferences you may have. Comment to others and use the handy dandy RNG to pick out your vacation spot;
1: Camping
2: Beach vacation
3: Foreign land
4: Cruise
5: Ski Vacation
6: Wildcard. Whatever you want.
And then pick out how hideous your vacation will be:
1: Lost luggage.
2: Lost tickets.
3: Missed your flight.
4: Flight is delayed. And delayed again. And delayed some more!
5: Lost room reservation.
6: Food poisoning.
7: Wild animals.
8: Forgot something important.
9: GPS/Map issues.
10: Poisoning by local wildlife.
11: The weather is horrible.
12: Wildcard! Make something up.
Agent Phil Coulson | MCU
1-11
I blame you for this.
[Rain makes him grumpy.]
no subject
While it's flattering that you think I control the weather, I think you would be better blaming Thor.
[The rain isn't the best thing to have on this trip, but at least it's a vacation. Of some sort.]
no subject
[He'll get over it, Phil, don't worry.]
And this vacation was your idea. Therefore, your fault.
no subject
Forgive me for trying to plan a vacation once every few years or so.
[He isn't really put out, of course.
And of course he'll get over it. Phil's worked with Clint too long not to know what will blow over, and what won't.]
Look on the bright side. The tent isn't collapsing on us.
[Yet.]
no subject
[Okay, might as well relax. He stretches out in his chair, looking out over the rainy field.]
What made you pick England, anyway?
no subject
It's beautiful.
And people have the habit of leaving one another alone, out here.
[Something they don't get enough of, these days.]
no subject
[Staring out at the sheep bleating peacefully in the next field, he has to admit... It's beautiul. And the patter of rain is pretty relaxing, too.]
Yeah, alright. Good pick, Phil. [Even if it is a tad grudgingly.]
no subject
As if you doubted my abilities.
[He pulls out a thermos of coffee from the back sitting next to him, holding it out for Clint.]
Irish coffee?
[Yes, it has whiskey in it already.]

He didn't have a problem with this sort of thing usually, but everyone has their off days. Especially when they're being eaten alive by insects. This was miserable.
Though really not the worst he's ever been in. He goes on his channel to where he knows Coulson is.]
Don't suppose there's any chance this guy could show up before I end up snack food for the vampire insect population is there?
[Not to mention the sweat threatening to constantly drip into his eyes and screw with his focus. He was soaked, and there was an annoying trickle down his back from it. He resisted the urge to shift, and kept his eyes on the square full of people.]
no subject
[Coulson's voice is dry, even in Clint's ear. It was always this way with them. Phil evening out the Hawk, letting him blow off steam as he needs to.]
We're thinking in the next five minutes.
[No, this isn't a vacation. Phil can't remember the last time he had a real one, anyways.]
no subject
I did use the waterproof spray. It isn't working. Or it isn't sweat proof.
[He gives a soft curse under his breath, having to break sight in order to swipe his forearm across his brow. He shifts, and refocuses on his target area.]
no subject
[Phil's tone shifts, slightly.]
Clean shot through the left eye, and I'll buy dinner tonight.
no subject
[Clint grins though at the challenge.]
Do I get to choose where?
[Coulson chose last night, it only seems fair.]
no subject
[Coulson just might be smirking; not something easily told through a comm system, of course.]
Any place you want, Barton.
no subject
[Sometimes Coulson could be downright scary.]
You're on. But I call the shower first.
no subject
[A beat]

This was not good.]
Uh, I think there's a problem here. This juice looks like something grew in it.
no subject
I've had worse.
[And he has. Those early years at SHIELD weren't the most pleasant.]
Cook anything long enough, and it will be safe.
no subject
I don't think we could it long enough, though. Those weenies were still kind of cool, weren't they?
[And then, quietly, more to himself.]
I have bad heartburn, okay.
no subject
[Phil fished into his coat, and tossed the younger man a roll of tums]
And here I thought you were made of tougher stuff.
no subject
He catches the roll, taking two and popping them in his mouth, following it with a swig from a water bottle.]
I guess coming prepared is part of the job, huh? Still don't know what SHIELD does.
no subject
Phil stretched his legs out, giving a nod.]
AT SHIELD, we're always prepared, for every contingency.
[He smirks.]
We take care of the messes no one else can.
no subject
That's what all government services say. "We take care of the messes no one else can." Then someone else with a badge and higher security says the same thing and you're out of commission.
[Don't mind him burping as he sits up, rubbing his chest. Fucking Beanie Weenies, man.]
no subject
[He raises an eyebrow.]
Shouldn't you just be able to [he wiggles his fingers.] rid yourself of that?
