TYPE OF SCENE.
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Sex → First times, kinks, even dubcon are all possible themes of sex related scenarios.
⑦ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!

ACTION.
① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.

⑰ Sabotage → It's time to sabotage someone's plan! How is entirely up to you. Do you set up a bomb in their toilet? Do you double cross them at the last minute?
⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.

ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.
⑥ Jealousy → Your character is feeling jealous and must deal with it, how will they do it?
⑦ Breakup! → This relationship has gone as far as it can, it's time to breakup.
⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.

⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.

① Sexswap → Uh-oh, you're suddenly the opposite sex!
② Forced confessions → No matter what it is and no matter how hard you resist, you're going to be compelled to spill some deep dark secret!
③ Mind-reading → You've suddenly got the ability to read minds!
④ Animal → You're suddenly part animal or transformed into an animal!
⑤ Awkward pick-up lines → You're compelled to use bad pickup lines on whoever is closest!

④ Costume party → You're at a costume party, both of you are wearing masks. Do you keep the anonymity or take it off and see whose company you've been enjoying?
⑤ Wrong number → Oops, actually you didn't mean to call that person...
⑥ Drunk → You're already drunk! Drunk dialing, stumbling into someone, showing up unexpected... what type of drunk are you anyway? Aggressive, loving, happy? How does the other react?

[Heaven's role sat on the borders of fantasy and mystery. As an Angel, it was her duty to eliminate the metaphysical shadows that clouded over stories, to brighten them with the light of truth in accordance to her father's laws. Dlanor's accustomed to all manners of stories because of her role.

She is, however, not accustomed to this manner of story.

There's no brief prepared for her beforehand, no Eiserne Jungfrau to back her up. In other words: she was a fish out of water. Blind and out of place, with no idea how she washed ashore.

So she's taken it upon herself to chase down the more unusual characters of this fragment, in hopes that they might have a better idea of this strange situation. Which is why there's a very small, very young-looking girl trailing after Kaworu persistently.

It's... kind of hard to get around when you can't teleport as usual. Her legs are short.]

[Kaworu noticed the very small, very young-looking girl as soon as she came within a sizable proximity to him. He didn't need to see her so much as sense her: he's very good at sensing others. Even now, he can sense Lilin eyes watching him from hundreds of meters away with their so-called "binoculars." This little girl, however, is something he senses is different from any other Lilin he's met.

Different how? Well, he doesn't know yet.]

Don't you think it's about time to explain yourself?

[At first he seemed content to allow her to follow him. It's not like he's on his way to anyplace in particular, and he's been lost in his own thoughts up until now. Finally, his curiosity is catching up to him.]

You aren't mute, right? Deaf?

[So he's noticed her. Dlanor hesitates. Politeness was probably the best response, regardless of the nature of this character. She stops, bows her head slightly with her hand pressed over her chest.]

... please forgive me. [She's been antsy towards talking to just anyone around here. It's strange for her to be seen by mere pawns in a story. It's an unsettling experience, though she'd been careful not to let it show.] You looked like someone important. I wasn't certain on how to approach you.

[Someone important? Is Nagisa Kaworu someone who is important? He actually has to think about this for a few seconds. To certain people and certain organizations: yes, he's very important. But that's not equivalent to being someone who is important to someone else. The Third, for example, couldn't be bothered.

Instead of puzzling over it, he says,] I do have a role to play. [He stops walking, too.] I get the feeling that it's the same for you.

[He looks over his shoulder at her. He doesn't forgive her.]

So what do you want?

[At least they've stopped walking. It'd been tiring to try to keep up with him this entire time, and she appreciates the break.

Dlanor is accustomed to being greeted with coldness. Her status, after all, has thrown her into direct conflict with many in the past and she understands that this person owed her no friendliness. However, as frustrating as it was, this boy may turn out to be an important source of information. She's unaffected as she looks up at him.]

Allow me to introduce myself first. My name is Dlanor A. Knox, the Head Inquisitor of Heresy. If I may ask, what is your role in this world, sir? Do you have a title of sorts?

[Kaworu turns around and fully faces Dlanor. With his hands casually tucked in his pockets, he doesn't seem particularly cold, tense, or mistrustful. He isn't smiling at her, though. SEELE's agents have told him that he should smile more often--it'll help him blend in. He only smiles when he feels like it.

Right now, he doesn't feel like smiling.]

Your questions are interesting, Dlanor A. Knox.

[Role in this world? Title of sorts? Adam? Tabris? Nagisa Kaworu? Who am I? Does it matter? Why would it matter? Won't I be erased soon?]

My name is Nagisa Kaworu, [he answers, settling on truthful neutrality.] I'm the Fifth Child.

[This was troubling indeed. Her realm of knowledge extended only to mysteries--the only roles she knew of was that of the Detective, the Witch, and so on and so forth. Nothing she's read or heard of points to anything called a "Child."

It shows as she dips her head, closing her eyes.]

I see.

[It sounds like such an innocent title to her.] I'm not a native to this fragment. I'm sorry if my questions seem strange, but I'd like to return home as soon as possible.

I didn't say your questions were strange. [Kaworu wonders if he'll ever understand why other people insist on putting words in his mouth. He called her questions interesting, not strange. They're interesting to him; hence, he's interested in them. He's also interested in her formal speech patterns, the color and length of her hair, the colorful clothing she wears, and especially her notion of home.

He doesn't know what "home" is beyond its definition. He's never had a home. He never will.

Now for a question of his own:]

What's a fragment?

[Dlanor will give him credit. He's taking this well in stride compared to some of the other inhabitants she's run into before, making her job--maybe both of their jobs?--a little bit easier.]

Judging by your answer, you aren't a player. [There's so much to explain, but a good Angel knows how to be concise. To bring the truth and message of the story to the forefront and out of the shadows.]

There are many infinite possibilities existing in the universe, Mister Nagisa. These possibilities are worlds within themselves, all branching off one another. This world, for example, is merely one of the possible stories that you could exist within.

I believe they're referred to as "parallel universes" by some.

[If Kaworu had one question before, he presently has a million. He has so many questions that they're making his head feel too full. He feels nauseated. He feels confused. He feels excited. Most importantly, he feels something.]

Parallel universes?

[SEELE never told him anything like this. They told him there was one path, one future, and one choice that wasn't a choice at all. For there to exist a place (or places?!) where this existential dilemma doesn't exist--]

Does that mean there's a "fragment" where the Third won't hate me?

[It's the first thing to enter his mind behind all the questions: his multiple failed attempts at becoming Ikari Shinji's friend. If he takes Dlanor's words at face value, then there must be fragments where he didn't fail. How would that feel? For Shinji to like him, how would that feel?]

Tell me.

[It's such a noticeable shift in his demeanor that it arouses her curiosity. She hasn't the slightest inkling of who or what a "Child" was, or of who this Third might be. But she can sympathize with what Kaworu might be feeling right now. If not in this fragment, perhaps the next. If not here, if there's a better world out there where my happiness is--

It reminds her of a certain Detective, always ready with a sneer on her lips. Of a promise that she couldn't keep, no matter how deep she plunged into the sea of fragments. Infinite possibilities, indeed. And not one bore the mark of that haughty blue.

Hope sprung eternal. It was to be expected with the nature of these fragments. Dlanor knows well enough that to crush it would be cruel.]

Theoretically... yes. There is a world where you are close to this Third Child. There may be many worlds like it. The sea of fragments, after all, encompasses all possibilities as I mentioned before.

[This has nothing to do with hope. Kaworu has never known hope, just like he's never known home. No, no, what he's experiencing right now... this is little more than cold, inhuman calculation. The urge to go anywhere but where he is becomes paramount in his mind. It's tied to another urge so deeply engrained in him that he has it confused for his Angel instincts. Be with the Third Child, so says this urge. Watch over him.

Leaving this fragment is a possibility. Not a guarantee. Not a promise in the least. It still makes him feel dizzy with what must be relief.]

How do I get there? [he asks eagerly, walking closer to Dlanor. His body language isn't threatening. Still, he's intent and intense.] What is the method of exiting one fragment and entering another? Is it very complicated? Could you teach me?

[Again, she doesn't react, save for a quick and quiet answer:]

It's impossible. [Ah. Perhaps that was too shallow of an answer. She softens her tone.] You are a pawn to this story. Unless a Witch chose to intervene on your behalf, you cannot leave this world.

[Shallow? More like dishonest. Kaworu will never understand people who put words in his mouth, just like he'll never understand people who tell lies. At least Dlanor willingly corrected that lie--whether or not it was intentional--within a few seconds.]

How do I get a Witch to intervene on my behalf?

With all due respect, Mister Nagisa, that is not a route I would recommend pursuing.

[Kaworu's teeth grind together. It's painful. His disappointment is even more painful.]

Why? If you won't bother to help me, then why should I bother to help you?

[Emotions only clouded her judgement when it came to her job. Therefore, it was best to set them aside. What she is disclosing currently was born partially out of a need for information and, as much as she was loathe to admit it, a momentary softness on her part. This Third was clearly important to Kaworu, but if she spent the rest of her days granting the wishes of every player in this world...

Reminding herself of this, Dlanor straightens up.]

... can you not be friends with this Third?

He hates me. No matter what it is I do, he hates me so much.

[It's all because of what happened on the first day they met. Apparently, killing defenseless animals in front of Shinji makes for a poor first impression. It's still frustrating for Kaworu to think about it. The cat was going to die anyway--of exposure, of neglect. It was a kindness to kill it before it could suffer much longer.

He wishes someone would be kind enough to kill him like that.]

Do you know what? Never mind. [He looks away, then looks back at Dlanor wearily.] How did you manage to get stranded in this fragment?

[She blinks, slowly.]

... there is someone I must find. I have been entrusted with an invitation that I intend to deliver. [Before the party, if possible. But considering how she was 'erased' from all fragments...

Still, Dlanor frowns. Her motivations don't answer Kaworu's question, however.]

I have never been stranded before. I'm... not sure what's causing this. [It's said reluctantly.]

I won't be able to find this "someone" if you don't describe them to me.

[So much for "why should I help you" and such sentiments, right? It's true that Kaworu seems as prickly as a hedgehog much of the time; at his worst, he's a matched set with Shinji. Either way, he's not trying to be mean. He's not trying to ruin anybody's day. In fits and bursts, he's willing to be kind to others...]

And, in the future, don't be stupid enough to get stranded again.

[Honesty is the best form of kindness, he thinks.]

[Ah. She's a little surprised by his offer.]

You do understand that I cannot help you with your situation. [Just a small reminder.]

Yeah, I do. [Finally, Kaworu smiles at Dlanor. It's a surprisingly soft smile.] I just know how it is to be stranded in a strange, incomprehensible place. You don't feel very good right now, do you? I wonder if helping you to get home will help me to feel better.

... understood. [Despite their nature, characters of a story really had the potential to surprise. A gentle smile of her own graces Dlanor's face.]

You have my sincere thanks. [This mission, admittedly, had been a lonely one.] The "someone" I am seeking is the Witch of Truth, Erika Furudo. She's not much taller than me. Long pigtails, and a haughty countenance... she's the sort to announce her presence. If you've run into her, you would surely remember her.

[Loudly and dramatically, no doubt.]

Don't thank me yet. I haven't found the Witch.

[Kaworu inhales, exhales, and then closes his eyes. He appears to be concentrating. If there's one thing he can do, it's remember everything he has ever experienced. Lilin researchers say he has an "eidetic memory" or something. If he hears a piece of music, he can reproduce it perfectly. And, if he sees a certain face, he can recall when and where in great detail.]

... I don't think I've met her, [he admits, after a few seconds. There aren't many children in this city in general.] Well, I have nowhere else to be, so why don't we go looking together?

[She awaits patiently until he opens his eyes again. The answer is unsurprising, though not disheartening. Dlanor's learned not to allow disappointment to creep in, otherwise this roundabout journey would've ended much, much sooner.]

If it will not inconvenience you I will be more than happy to walk with you. [A beat.] ... does this city have a library, perhaps?
