Someone's in my bed

Someone Is Sleeping in My Bed!

It's morning in EST. But maybe not for you -- A little too late to be sleeping but y'know what? That's okay. People nap. Sometimes the bed is oh so cozy and you want to snuggle under a blanket and sleep forever. And you don't care if it's your bed or not. You're going to sleep. Like a boss.

Too bad someone doesn't agree.
Rules
The Poster is the character who is asleep.
The Responder is the one who discovers the sleeper.
Therefore, the Responder must do one of three things

I. Decide you know this person! (Castmate, previous threader, whatever.)
Go to Random and Roll.

a. Wake them up - You don't care how friendly you are to the person in your bed; they need to get up.
b. Happy Awakening - Such a shame they're so deep asleep when you're in the mood. How about a nice wake up call? (if you don't like smut, keep this to cuddles, kisses, hugs, or reroll)
c. Prank! - Oh, this has just go to stop. They need to be punished. But how?
Can't beat 'em, Join them - Push 'em over and snuggle up. You're too tried to deal with this craziness right now. Or sleep on your couch.
d. Let them Sleep - Whatever, it's noon. They're asleep and you got things to do. Regard them or disregard them.

II. Decide you have NO CLUE this person is! (People that haven't threaded with each other before, crossovers, castmates who haven't met.)
Go to Random and Roll.

a. Scream 'OMGWTFBBQ GET UP' - While this is probably the default reaction, it's a pretty honest one.
b. Prank! - What a better way for you to remember this moment of meeting than by painting a mustachio on your new 'friend's' face? (Remember, it's your bed. Be wise on what you do.)
c. Gently wake them up - Oh, the poor dears! They must be exhausted but they can't stay here. Be nice, even if it isn't IC for your character. This is what you get for rolling. Shake them up quietly. Or reroll.
d. Get to Know them NON-Biblically - Well, they're asleep. But they left their wallet, important work, or identification out (no matter how OOC it may be)! Let's see who's REALLY sleeping in your bed. (Use your own judgment on what you find. As a suggestion, have the most they find is the sleeper's name and maybe place of work.)
e. Tie 'em up - FUNCTIONAL tying up. Not kinky, no matter what the other party might think. Let them continue their blissful moment of rest. They'll answer questions later and you'll be safe and sound.

III. Decide - f**k the police. You hear me right. F**k 'em.
You move forward and make your own fate!

[It's not often the past comes to sneak up on you. Even when you have access to a time machine. Clara knows that interacting with different thread's if the Doctor's timeline can't be good, but there he is asleep in her bed when she comes back from school on a late October evening. She recognizes him, remembering what the Doctor (all of them) did to save his people. It brings back a small sort of smile.

She's not entirely certain how to leave him. The Doctor supposedly doesn't have a bedroom though the Doctor lies. Still she finds it a little alerting that he's here at all, so she moves to the side of the bed and scrunching her face, she pokes him in the side.]

Doctor?

[The Doctor rarely sleeps. Time Lords hardly ever have to and, time machine or not, he does consider it kind of a waste of time. Always too busy, always too much on his mind and it's not as if he can really expect pleasant dreams.

So it's no wonder that even when he sleeps, it's not very deep. And so Clara's poke, combined with calling him leads to him sitting up right away. He looks around, blinking rapidly, before his eyes finally settle on Clara.]

Hi. Hey. What are you doing here?

[personal profile] egomaniacly 2014-09-11 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[She looks around her room a little perplexed.] What am I doing in my room?

[personal profile] neverwouldiever 2014-09-11 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Er. Good question. Excellent question.

[He looks around again, rolling his shoulders as he does so.]

Very tidy. Good for you!
egomaniacly: (p h o n e)

[personal profile] egomaniacly 2014-09-11 02:25 pm (UTC)(link)
No. [That's not what she means.] What are you doing here, in my room?

[She raises her brows in an anticipation of an answer, because it's usually a shock to see her Doctor let alone a past one.]

[personal profile] neverwouldiever 2014-09-11 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[He lifts a hand to cup the back of his neck, wrecking his mind for that very answer and coming up short.]

Well, I was sleeping.

[personal profile] egomaniacly 2014-09-11 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I've gathered that. [She narrows her eyes.] So nothing is exploding or worlds colliding? You just-- fancied a nap.

[personal profile] neverwouldiever 2014-09-11 02:36 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a very good nap. [Even so, he's frowning as he looks around, pinching his own earlobe.] I don't really remember...
egomaniacly: (r i g h t)

[personal profile] egomaniacly 2014-09-11 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well that's alarming.] Do you remember how you got here?

[Tucking a foot under her, she sits on the edge of the bed. Clara isn't really used to staying in one place for this long.]

[personal profile] neverwouldiever 2014-09-11 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
...no.

[He starts patting himself down, breathing a sigh of relief when he finds the sonic screwdriver. Not that he's sure what to do with it just now, but it's always a good sign when it hasn't been taken.]

Seen any blue box recently?
egomaniacly: (w o n d e r)

[personal profile] egomaniacly 2014-09-11 02:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Other than when I saw you last week? No. [Other him, she means.]

Look, we'll figure this out. What is the last thing you do remember?
neverwouldiever: british people and their stupid fucking spelling wait isn't he scottish (Default)

[personal profile] neverwouldiever 2014-09-11 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Saw me. Right.

Who are you again?

[He gets up, hand on his forehead as he starts pacing.]

I was in the TARDIS. I definitely remember that. Bit fuzzy.
egomaniacly: (s t u b b o r n)

[personal profile] egomaniacly 2014-09-11 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[And then it dawns on her that this is his past self, but that doesn't mean he has met her, yet. Timey wimey and all that. She scrunches her face and debates calling her Doctor. But-- paradoxes and his TARDIS might not be able to land.]

I'm Clara. We met when you, the War Doctor, and my Doctor saved Gallifrey. [Which she realizes may also cause friction since Gallifrey is a very touchy subject.]

[personal profile] neverwouldiever 2014-09-11 03:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[It has happened, but that part is even fuzzier. As usual, only the latest Doctor truly remembers the encounter, after all, to keep the paradox at a minimum.

So the Doctor knows he shouldn't ask, but...]

Saved Gallifrey?
egomaniacly: (s h o c k)

[personal profile] egomaniacly 2014-09-16 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[She opens her mouth and then closes it again. It's a bit of a painful thing to talk about, but her eyes squint at him a little.]

Does Trenzelore mean anything to you?
neverwouldiever: british people and their stupid fucking spelling wait isn't he scottish (Default)

[personal profile] neverwouldiever 2014-09-16 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Not particularly...

[He stops to look at her, pinching his earlobe between two fingers and rubbing it as he turns his head.]

Something from my future, innit?
egomaniacly: (c o n f e r)

[personal profile] egomaniacly 2014-09-16 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. [Very much, yes. But she figures she can't just go blabbing that's supposedly where he dies, but he technically didn't, and that's where Gallifrey is supposed to come out the other side. So she just sighs for a second.]

It's important. But I don't think I can tell you why. Just-- know you aren't as terrible as you think you are. I'm just wondering if that has anything to do with this?

[Because how did he actually get here?]
neverwouldiever: british people and their stupid fucking spelling wait isn't he scottish (Default)

[personal profile] neverwouldiever 2014-09-16 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Me not being as terrible as I think I am? Probably not.

[Yes, he's missing the point on purpose, because he really isn't sure what to make of all this mysterious talk of things in his future. Might be dangerous to find out too much more, but the curiosity is there.]

I wouldn't know, would I? I should go find the TARDIS.
egomaniacly: (s t a r e)

[personal profile] egomaniacly 2014-09-16 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Well it's not in here. I could fit through the doors. [Thank you very much.]

Could be outside. You like parking it there. Or the school closet.
neverwouldiever: british people and their stupid fucking spelling wait isn't he scottish (Default)

[personal profile] neverwouldiever 2014-09-16 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Outside sounds like me. School and closet doesn't sound very much like me at all, I prefer to stay out of those.

[Outside he could do though, running to the window first and looking outside to check.]

Don't see her from here. Let's go!

[He hasn't really meant to take her along, but force of a habit he's not even developed yet has him grab her hand as he heads out the door.]
egomaniacly: (r i g h t)

[personal profile] egomaniacly 2014-09-18 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[Her head snaps down to him taking her hand, but he doesn't give her much time before he's pulling her, and Clara has to follow. Making a small noise, her legs finally start to work and she finds herself laughing at his suddenness.]

Knowing you it can be anywhere.
neverwouldiever: yoyo? (what is it you kids say?)

[personal profile] neverwouldiever 2014-09-27 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, probably! But I don't see how that's a problem, what's wrong with anywhere?

[He walks outside, ruffling his hair as he turns first one way, then the other and finally just ends up walking straight ahead.]

I can sense her. Shouldn't be too far off. So. How are you?
egomaniacly: (p u r s i n g)

[personal profile] egomaniacly 2014-09-27 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Finding it. [You know, like they are trying to do now.]

Um, aside from helping you, I'm good. [Meaning this is really a regular occurrence.]
neverwouldiever: or your house will be infested with dalek lice and your family will get shingles. LOVE YA (forward this email to ten people)

[personal profile] neverwouldiever 2014-09-27 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Good? My guess would be that you're great, if you managed to bear, what, three of me? Impressive.

[He turns to her, even as he keeps walking, actually slowing down a little as he realizes that he is quite a bit longer in the leg department and he doesn't want her to struggle too much. Not as if they're running from any danger.]

Do I ever say thanks?
egomaniacly: (l a u g h)

[personal profile] egomaniacly 2014-09-27 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
In your own way. [Eleven was all about the hugs and the forehead kisses, and being genuinely affectionate. She's still feeling the new regeneration out, but he's more to the point.]
