THE AUTUMN MEME

It's that time of year again; Autumn.
Whether it's raking the leaves or running to Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice Latte,

the season is back upon us and it's time to enjoy it before winter comes.

Scenarios:
Look at all the pretty colors - Maybe you just feel like strolling down the street and looking at all the leaves turning colors. Maybe you're shopping for something to fit in with the autumn theme. Or you could be setting up an easel to try to capture how the trees look like they're on fire. Just enjoy the turning shades.

I didn't agree to be in this movie -Yes, it's that time again, fog time. It can be creepy or beautiful or both and guess what? You're trapped in it. Are you alone? Are you at home looking out the windows, or stuck somewhere waiting for it to clear so you can drive? Maybe you're walking home late at night and the fog is as creepy as hell and was that the sound of someone sharpening an axe?

Something to warm the cockles - Coffee house prompt. You want your pumpkin spice latte and you want it now. Or maybe you want extra nutmeg. Or maybe someone made a pumpkin cheesecake and you want the line to move faster before someone gets the last piece. You're in a coffee house and there's coffee. Have fun with that.

I just raked that - Yes, it's lawncare time. You've been ordered to clean up your yard and make nice efficient piles. Or maybe you're strolling down the street and you happen to see a nice pile just begging you to jump in. Or push your friend. Or maybe someone's dog or cat is hiding in one and is ready to jump out and scare the crap out of you. Only one way to find out.

But it's only so many days until Halloween - Oh. You're one of those. The ones that love Halloween and start setting things up as soon as there's a slight briskness to the air. Well, time to go shopping. Or maybe you need to start setting up the decorations in the window. Or the yard. Or buying candy to appease the inevitable hordes. Halloween comes but once a year, so get ready for it while you can.

Wildcard - There are plenty of autumn activities to do. Make some up on your own, be it strolling with a friend or curling up with someone special and enjoying something sweet

It could be tremendously boring to be indoors. Most of all when you had been set on spending the day outdoors. Not that Ed had anything against being out in the rain - and it wasn't raining that heavily, really - but mist was different. The dark-skinned teenager was hitting his head against the glass of the window, not hard enough to damage the glass in any way, but enough to be felt as it made impact with his forehead. He had so been looking forward to getting out on a long ride with his horse today, and now he couldn't. Not that he wasn't going to get into a good mood again in a bit, but it's the initial disappointment that's acting up. He just needs a distraction of sorts.

Shun wasn't all that much for outdoors activities. Being outside was one thing, but autumn was just wet and cold, so he didn't mind staying inside when the weather was like this. It did get a bit boring though, and when Ed was sitting by the window and making noises it got old really fast.

He looked up from the magazine he had been reading, sending Ed a somewhat annoyed look. "What?"

If Ed started something, he could be at it for hours, even when it ended up annoying others. It wasn't his intention, of course, but he did try to stop if he annoyed someone extra much, unless it was him teasing them.

He turned halfway from the window, a smooth movement on his seat, which wasn't all that big, but that was no problem. "I was looking forward to an outing, and now it's not possible."

"Sure it is, if you want to trip over things you didn't see when they're right in front of you." The mist really was that thick. It was hard to see anything at all when he looked out the window, only the branch that hit against the window from the smallest of pressure was in view.

"Those noises are annoying, stop doing them."

"That's what I don't wanna do." He drops his hands into his lap, and turns his back to the window instead. "Do you have any suggestions on what I'm supposed to do instead?"

"I don't know. Something that doesn't annoy me." And honestly, a lot of things annoy him.

"A lot of things does that." There is one thing, though... "Music?"

Well isn't Ed one to read his mind.

He perks up, glancing to his guitar. "Sure."

If there's something they both like, it's music. (Even if Ed would like to meet his girlfriend.)

He moves away from the window. He's got a piano in the other room, so playing it from in here might be a bit hard. "You coming, then?"

Like? Shun practically lives for music. And unlike Ed he doesn't exactly have a girlfriend (isn't allowed to, as long as he's an idol) to pay attention to.

"Coming, coming." He gets up, bringing his guitar with him as he follows Ed.

Like might be an underestimatement. And his girlfriend just happens to be his horse, couldn't Shun be allowed something like that?

"Do you have any genre of interest today, Shun?" he asks as he sits down on the stool.

Well, a horse might work out fine, but he doesn't really have any interest in that. But it's more doable than a real girlfriend.

He jumps up on the piano lid to sit on it. "I kind of feel like Rihanna. Especially Umbrella because of the weather."
