The Intimacy Meme

 

Intimacy is the glue of any relationship, albeit romantic or friendship. It's getting to the root of humanity, and expanding upon ourselves and letting others in.

 

Rules:

1. Post with your character.

2. Go to rng and roll from 1-10.

3. Post to others.

4. Profit!!

 

Scenes:

1. First Kiss. Maybe you've been harboring feelings or maybe this is random. But it feels good to be that close to someone.

 

2. Love Confession. You have been head over heels for this person and now it's time to try and get close to them.

 

3. Secrets. You've been hiding yourself from someone and now it's time to stop. They need to know the real you.

 

4. First Time. First time you have sex is always nerve racking, but it's in these moments that you show how much you truly care about someone.

 

5. Shower. Perhaps you've been together for awhile. Maybe you've told each other everything. Maybe you're just dirty and need to get cleaned up. But letting the water flow between two people is still pretty intimate.

 

6. Post-Coital Bed. Do you feel talkative after sex? Want to ponder the meaning of life / if you guys are more than a one-night stand? Better to do it after the deed probably... at least your partner will be in a good mood?

 

7. Road Trip. Good for that bonding experience you never had! Bad diner food and weird landmarks you never knew you wanted to see! Will it bring you closer to your friend / lover?

 

8. Drunk. Are you the happy or sad kind? Clingy, or flighty? Maybe you just need a hug, to snuggle close... to whoever's around at the time!

 

9. Winter. What could be a better time to curl up with a book, or exchange soft words in the glow of the fire? Hot chocolate time!

 

10. Free verse. Did I leave something out? Want to combine? Make up your own or pick from the others.

[It seemed that Midgard held quite a bevy of wonderful, mysterious, and varied women. Some stayed in their homes and raised many children while others served meals at diners. Some taught at schools, others attended the sick and wounded or the old and senile.

And some, bright-eyed and with hair the color of a campfire surrounded by friends and good food, worked for extremely rich, powerful, and intelligent men with heart problems. The name Pepper wasn't quite what he'd been expecting to hear, and Lady Potts had only served to do what it did to all the other Midgard women: fluster them until they corrected him. It had been a bit difficult finding a proper title for her, but calling her Pepper just sat wrong on the tongue of any true gentleman of Asgard.

He wouldn't keep her for more than the weekend. The Stark man needed her as much as he needed the light piece in his chest, and she was quite attached to being constantly busy with work. He understood this much. Still, he had never been to a land of cold in a time of peace, so it wasn't something he could just pass up when the chance came.

In the foyer of the little cabin set a few miles away from a small town, overlooking a clearing before a forest of stripped, bare trees reaching into a beautiful night sky, he stepped in after her, pulling off his gloves and brrr-ing as he made to take off his fox fur coat. And so he had taken his fair share of the decanter and planned on falling into his cot to sleep it off. He had not planned on being summoned to his gracious lord's chambers, lute in hand, with orders to provide some suitable music to soothe a restless mind.

Loki had returned to Asgard. The city that had been his home, the realm where he had been raised, the place that had made him king.

The mainstay of his betrayers.

He had imagined returning here as a conqueror, and instead he was locked in a cell. His demeanor was quiet, displaying resentful defeat.

Beneath the surface he burned with anger for what might have been. He had come so close, and yet he had been defeated by a band of malcontented fools.

His plans must be reconsidered. He would bide his time. The final battle was not over; his victory had merely been delayed, and Asgard was no longer home but an obstacle. He had accomplished things that many believed to be impossible. He would do so again.

Until then, he sat in silence, pale green eyes staring at the wall before him. He would not gift them the pleasure of his weakness. His strength would be known in his patience, and his anger. He could wait.
