Cuddle with Your Lover Meme

[ The last thing Kira expected when she arrived at camp was to attract the attentions of anyone from Aphrodite, let alone the counselor. And when she did, she'd never quite known what to do. Still didn't, to be honest, but she's since just figured that winging it isn't so bad. Even if she comes off as an awkward mess sometimes.

...Most of the time.

But hey, cuddling isn't so bad. Kira might have been a little weird settling into it, but now that they're here? It's... nice. She likes this, being close to someone. And scooting up so she's a little tiny bit closer? Isn't the slightest bit awkward, for once in her life. ]

[ Silena sits a little taller than Kira, an arm around her as they sit side by side on the beach. She knows she's well-loved in camp and could feasibly date just about anyone here, but she likes people with big hearts, not caring about whatever grace they may or may not possess.

Affectionately, she nuzzles into her hair as the sun goes down and the camp quiets around them. They're missing a campfire, but that's okay. There's more privacy here, even out in the open. ]

I wanna lay back, [ she suggests quietly. ] The stars'll be out soon.

[ The campfire is nice, with everyone around, but if Kira had to choose, she's pick where she is right now. They're alone here, and that's a rare treat in camp. They should make the most of it, shouldn't they?

Smiling, Kira nods in reply and starts to shift. ] Okay. [ She didn't get to see the stars much, growing up in the city. It's one thing she really liked about moving to Beacon Hills... and to Camp Half-Blood. Looking at them with Silena will make it even better. ]

[ Silena lays back on the blanket she's brought with her, her hair fanning out about her face. She leaves an open arm for Kira to settle into so they can continue their cuddling, because she likes keeping her close. ]

I don't know too much about the constellations, well not as much as I should. [ She wrinkles her freckled nose. ] Everything looks like the Big Dipper to me most of the time.

[ And settle in she does, happily snuggling right up to Silena's side. She laughs softly at that comment, looking up to see what she can find. Which is... a lot of nothing, actually. ] When we moved to Beacon Hills, my dad tried to show me some of the constellations. He and Mom couldn't decide if it was the Big Dipper or the little one they found.

[ In other words, she's in the same boat. ]

[ Giggling, she wraps both arms around her, angling herself so they're hopefully both comfortable on the blanket. ]

I guess there really isn't a point to memorizing them since we've got GPS and online maps. I like knowing the stories behind them, though.

[ Her hands rest on top of Silena's arms, a clear indication that she wants to stay here for a while. ] The stories are mostly from myths, right? I've read some of them, doing research for other things.

Actually, they're all true. They're all meant to honor loved ones, and heroes, and those who were important in the past. It's all super romantic, [ Silena sighs, nuzzling her nose against her hair, breathing her in. ]

Oh, [ she breathes, looking back up at the stars in wonder. It's not like the thought hasn't occurred to her, not since she's found out just how real the myths are, but hearing confirmation of it is a different thing entirely. Not all of the stories are... romantic, exactly, but more than a few of them are, and Kira doesn't want to ruin the moment. ] Like Andromeda and Perseus?
