The Meet And Greet Meme For Characters
The Meet and Greet Meme
For Characters
[The Rules]
1. Find the thread for the canons/fandoms of your character. If you don't see one, make one!
2. Post with all of your character accounts. Yes, all of them. Throwing in your entire musebox is totally fine in this meme. (Please write down the name and canon/fandom of the character in the subject line, and also if they're canon, AU, crossover or OC, etc.)
3. AU characters are totally OK. Crossover/fusion characters may post at all the fandoms/canons their crossover/fusion is derived from. Fandom OCs may post at their fandom/canon's thread. Original Story/Universe OCs will have their own thread.
4. Tag around all over the place - Canonmates, non-canonmates, everything is OK!
here, have some crack ;P

Put it this way: would it bug you to know I know exactly who you are?
no subject
It would intrigue me. I'd want to know more.
no subject
We're on the same team. Not long, you could say I'm a new recruit, but you guys got me right out from under the X-Men's noses.
[His lips curl into a smirk.]
The Professor's not that stupid, I doubt he thought he'd keep me 'til graduation. But it was still a nice move.
no subject
[It's not a question. She knows a little of things to come from Logan, but not much. She wants to know more. Stepping forward, she moves till she's mere inches from him. She does not miss the smug look on his face.]
I don't know you. I... I think I haven't met you yet. [Indeed, she's much closer to his age in this form. Her head tilts to the side, looking him up and down again.] Mutants have to stick together.
no subject
[Oh, wow, we're getting rather intimate now; there's a brief widening of his eyes at that, but he gathers himself almost immediately. He had been about to reveal the year, but she's upping her game, so he'll keep her guessing a little. Keep the playing field similarly rocky on both sides, if not even.]
You're - older, that's all I know. Not like it's easy to place something like a definite age on you. But Magneto's got to be pushing a hundred, if that helps you any. [Clear teenage hyperbole-speak for "dude's old as shit."] And what did I say? We're teammates. Brothers, according to the name. Of course we're sticking together.
[Take it at whatever value you like that he ditched the opposing team and his friends on said team to join the Brotherhood, of course.]
no subject
[She has to try, to do something to keep things even between them. He has the advantage and she hates that.]
I age well. [She smirks, a light in her eyes at his comment.] If he appears a hundred, he's probably two. [A laugh, soft and barely audible slips out.] Until someone else recruits you. What's to say you won't leave us like you left them? Everyone leaves.
no subject
He wouldn't want any less, would he? [His eyes light up with twisted amusement.] That's why I'm not leaving - because he was the first one to figure out that I was, too. The Professor gave me room and board on the condition that I go to some bullshit classes and, oh, be the opposite of what I am all the time. And he called that helping me. Magneto gave me power and said I could actually use it, and he called it what I deserved. Who would you stick with?
[He's the one to move in closer this time, cocking his head arrogantly; he won't claim inherent loyalty, because it's not part of who he is, but he doesn't see himself finding a better deal.]
no subject
To be the best, you have the best? [She is very aware of how close they're standing. Her heart beats a little faster as she listens to him speaking. It's a nice speech, but she's pretty sure that it's just a speech. Nobody is ever loyal. Everyone always leaves you, she thinks to herself.]
I made my choice. And I don't regret it. Charles is a dreamer. I live in reality. When the war comes, I will be on the right side. You have a gift. Magneto recognizes it. [And so does she, even if she doesn't know him or what it is.] He wouldn't have picked you if he didn't want you.
no subject
So we both left him behind. [That's an interesting bit of information. Now he's as curious about the past as she is about the future.] I never knew we had so much in common. You wanna know about the war that's coming? Keep talking, and maybe I'll do the same.
no subject
A meeting of minds? [She purrs, licking her lips as she begins to move around him, circling him like an animal stalks their prey.] You show me yours, I show you mine, only with our pasts? Intriguing...
[She watches him, raising an eyebrow.] I accept.
no subject
Mystique accepted him without question in his own time, because it was Magneto's choice. This one seems to have done the same, but the genuine interest - that's a new wrinkle that he doesn't think he'll ever stop enjoying.]
Guess I should introduce myself first, huh? [He pulls out his Zippo lighter, and once he's got a flame lit, he simply leaves it flickering as is for a moment; then, with a quick motion of his other hand, tendrils shoot out to wrap around her where she stands in a coiling, snakelike trap that stops just at eye level. He's not as good at fine work as he is at brute force flamethrowing, no sculptor like Bobby with his ice, but he can maintain this for long enough to make his point.]
John Allerdyce. But I prefer Pyro.
no subject
When the fire flickers out, she freezes, arms at her sides as she takes in the situation. When she can see he isn't going to hurt her, she relaxes. Her heart beats a little faster and she gazes up at him, her body feeling warmer now.]
Pyro... I like it. You know my name. You have a gift of manipulation. I find that very interesting. My... [She hesitates, having not said her name in so long.] I prefer Mystique, but... It's Raven. [If he could share with her, so could she.]
no subject
Magneto says it's my real name. [He's more serious now, even a bit sobered by hearing Mystique call herself anything else; they all choose their own names, it's something he knows intellectually, but she always seemed like a mutant fully-formed from the day she was born. Of course she's got a pre-history like all of them, a time when she thought herself merely human.] More real than any name they gave me. I won't be calling you Raven any time soon.
no subject
In a blink it was gone again, blue instead of blonde.] He's right. Pyro. Mystique. These are who we are now. Who we should be. [She doesn't trust him yet, not completely, but she's starting to. Surprisingly, she doesn't want to hurt him or do anything bad. Well, anything that wouldn't be consensual.]
no subject
Holding hands is - strange, but he goes with it for now, lacing his fingers through hers.]
Mystique. [His voice is deeper when he says it this time, still with that slightly underdeveloped rasp of late teenagehood, but coming from a throatier place.] Looks like it's my turn in the sharing game. The last move humans made against us was an attempt at total genocide - you know about Cerebro yet?
no subject
The genocide does not surprise her. Humans have killed themselves for centuries. And yet, there was a flicker of concern on her otherwise masked face.]
Cerebro. I was there at its creation. Magneto helped to build it with Beast. I witnessed Charles' first attempt with it. Not just anyone can handle that machine.
no subject
No, they can't. [His face darkens.] That's why they kidnapped the Professor, brainwashed him, and somehow got him to send out enough psychic energy through it to melt all our brains if it hadn't been stopped.
[Yeah, that agony in his head is a very fresh memory. It still has the power to anger - and frighten - him, which is plain on his face.]
no subject
[She turns before he can see the emotion on her face. She wasn't always a cold hearted bitch, especially when it came to the man who was once a brother to her. Even she could feel pain, once upon a time. Before Pyro knew her, she was just a mutant girl. The day where she made her final choice had not come yet.
In truth, she didn't want to think about something bad happening to Charles. Her heart could still break over that. She just hoped Pyro didn't pick up on her weakness. So far, only Erik had seen it, comforting her when they were alone.]
So... He survived? [Maybe, just maybe, there was still love in her voice.]
no subject
[Her sudden turn away, the focus of the question (with all mutants threatened, he's the one she's most worried about?), it all makes him tense. How close were they, anyway? How old is she in comparison to Magneto and the Professor? "Adoptive family" isn't the first thing coming to mind here, and as much as part of him has never wanted to know anything less in his life, another demands the truth.]
Your turn. Why do you care so much?
no subject
Her voice is soft when she speaks, barely a whisper.] In many ways, Charles is my brother. I have known him since I was a child. When I had no family, he adopted me into his. We even referred to each other as brother and sister. I was there when he was wounded. I was there when he founded his school. I don't age like others do.
I am glad to hear that I could do something good in the future. I don't hold out much hope for myself. [She turns back to him, her face impassive, emotions locked away.]
Why do you care? Are we friends in the future? Do I trust you? Should I?
no subject
He'll have to come back to that.]
You kick ass in the future. That's why I care, 'cause you're one of the few mutants I've met who actually doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks of them, and you still want humans taken down. [A little laugh.] Friends? I barely know you, but you've already got more of my respect than most of the other mutants I've met in the past seven years.
[He doesn't feel the need to point out that he isn't prone to giving out respect at all, never mind lightly. She's probably picked up on that.]
You're hot. You're deadly. You're don't give a single fuck. You pretty much saved my life. That enough reasons?
no subject
Thank you. [Her head tilted to the side, raising an eyebrow at him.] It's a start. If you're brotherhood, I'd always save your life. Mutants have to stick together. Mutant and proud. [She realizes that what he's saying is true. It makes her feel funny to think about it. She still has trouble believing who to trust and that people could care, burned by too many before.]
You're pretty cute yourself.
no subject
Mutant and proud. [Repeated with a little smirk as he moves closer to her again, making up for his gaffe with the hands by reaching out to brush his fingers over the scales on her shoulder. He doesn't know what he expected them to feel like, or how he thought he'd react to it, but the shiver that dances up his spine is once again completely pleasant. It's a very good kind of different, that texture.]
My turn again. Anything else you wanna know?
no subject
I... I should ask. I have things I want to know, but... Knowing too much about the future can be bad. Things should change on their own. That's what Charles would say, probably. [Her eyes open and she gazes up at him. She has so many questions, but she's not sure what to ask first or if she even should. Her smile widens as she gazes into his eyes, finding them very beautiful. She doesn't miss the way he's looking at her, something that she rarely sees.]
What's it like? Being able to control fire. Most of my skills are defensive, not offensive. [She reaches down, taking her hand in hers once more.] To be able to throw the flame. Does it take practice or come naturally? You... Your skin doesn't even feel warm.
