Oh shit, it's a Dave. There are a lot of Daves, but this one is a slightly older Dave that has opted to come out in a nice pair of slacks and a button-up shirt and skinny tie, sipping on possibly the most hipster brand of beer available at this shindig.

Dave's ready with an arm out and a wide smile. He's older than the last time they saw one-another, obviously, but he's not about to forget the sweetheart that made his cape the mos kickass cape in the Incipisphere.

Kanaya has just enough time to slide her glass onto a nearby table. Wrapping her other arm around Dave's neck, she fights hard to keep a straight face.

With that he lifts her back up and grins at her, arching an eyebrow up at that glow making her appear a brighter white. But he's not gonna tease. He's just having fun.

Smirking faintly, Dave lays his hand over Kanaya's and leads her to where they can dance without stepping on toes. Then he simply takes both of her hands and starts rocking his hips back and forth, leading the dance in simple maneuvers that went more with this music than anything Kanaya was likely to know.

The dance is both completely different, and... not. At first, Kanaya follows Dave's movements cautiously. As the beat begins soaking in, her movements grow more fluid. Speech is nearly impossible over the pounding base. Instead, she arches her brows in a Now what? expression.

At that, he lifts her arm up and pulls her along gently until she's made a complete spin under his arm then catching the other hand again and pulling her back toward him and wrapping his arms around her waist, the biggest shit-eating grin all over his face.

[All right, Kanaya will freely admit that was slick. The grin is returned full firce. She follows Dave's feet again, then steps away and repeats them. No mistaking the glow now. Her white light flashes across the floor, mixing with the pulses of red, blue, gold.

As the beat increases, she adds in the spin.]

He rocked along with her and followed her steps with ones of his own, matching her and putting his own flair on it. By the time it was over, he was quietly panting for breath, giving her a crooked little grin as a flush of exertion crept up across his cheeks.

There's a high color on Kanaya's face too. Laughter bubbles up, and she sways forward, dizzy from the combination of alcohol and twirling. She grabs onto Dave's arms for balance.

This is thrilling!

He wraps his arms around her middle and presses a quick kiss to her forehead, laughing a little then nodding toward a seat so they could at least settle down rather than risking falling over because of the exertion and alcohol.

The seating area teams, with only one empty chair left. Kanaya promptly acquires it (perhaps with a slight flash of teeth at a fellow party-goer who gets too close.) Then she sits, pulling Dave down onto her lap.

I Trust You Have No Protests To This Arrangement?

Because it's either this or the floor. Which, being a party, is a pretty risky area. Wouldn't want your clothes to get dirty!

He's not really arguing though. It's comfortable, and Kanaya has strong legs that hold him easily. He could have easily stood up beside the seat though.

An Option Which Is Chivalrous Yet Unnecessary.

Kanaya leans her forehead against Dave's shoulder. For a moment she just soaks in the solid warmth, the beat of the music.

Is This One Real? It Feels Real.

The Game has been over for such a long time. She can't help asking, though. It's hard to be sure sometimes.

His hand comes up to rest against the side of Kanaya's head, his thumb stroking across her temple.

I Suppose Not But Odds Are Weighted Towards Real. These Shoes Hurt My Feet. The Bubbles Could Never Get That Right.

Oddly, that last part is more relief then complaint.
