A Day at the Beach Meme

So you need a vacation. The weather's nice, so why not hit the beach?



So here are the rules:

1. Comment with your character and put their name and canon in the subject line.
2. Do beach stuff with whoever threads with you. Go tanning. Collect seashells. Have a picnic. Swim. Surf. Visit the little resort. Get stranded at sea in a canoe. Day or night. Do your own thing.
3. There is no need for RNG here, just have fun. :)

[ Sheryl was much much ahead of him. No surprise there, since she really expects Athrun to bring everything. Even if it was her idea to go to the beach ... that didn't mean she wanted to go through the trouble of manual labor.

Crossing her arms. ]

You're too slow, Athrun.

What did you expect? You demanded that I carry all of our stuff.

[ She laughs. ]

I am Sheryl Nome. You didn't really expect that I would do manual labor, did you?

[ But just as soon as Sheryl's feet touched the sand, she ran towards the water and began to admire it. ]

... the sea is so pretty.

Well, most people wouldn't think to make a veteran of two wars do all the manual labor -- hey, hold on!

[He sets the stuff down and runs over.]

Huh? Sorry, I missed what you said.

[ She waited until he was beside her before giving him a mischievous smile. ]

I am not like most people, am I? [ What is humility to Sheryl Nome? Instead of answering his question ... she had other plans.

She began splashing him with water. They came to the beach to play and that was exactly what she was going to do. ]

Wha--hey!

[Athrun raised his hands to block. He then kicked some water up in her direction in retaliation.]

It's just water, Athrun. Don't tell me you're afraid, Mister-Veteran-of-Two-Wars!

[ Laughing now and continues to splash water his way. ]

[Yeah, yeah. Cupping his hands now and throwing the water in said hands at her face!]

Kyah!

[ That takes her by surprise and made her back away to retreat. Instead, she trips and soaking herself from head to toe.

She gasped and gave a pained look. ]

.. ah ... I think ... I think my foot is bleeding.

[Uh-oh. Athrun bends down so he can get a closer look.]

Hey, are you all right? Let me see...

[the_galaxyfairy]

[ Mister-Veteran makes it too easy for her.

When he bends down, she plants a kiss on his cheek. ]

You actually believed me. That is cute.

[infinitejustice]

[It takes a second to dawn on him. However, he got a kiss on the cheek from a beautiful girl for his troubles, so he can't bring himself to be stern.]

I should have known you were playing wounded gazelle.

[With that, he extends a hand. Oh, but if she takes it, he'll not only pull her to her feet, he'll pull her right up against his body.]

[ Sheryl laughs. Yes, he should have known. Sheryl didn't do the most expected things after all.

She accepts the extended hand --- not at all expecting that he would be pulling her so close. Most unexpectedly, she gets very embarrassed and blushes. ]

W-wait! Who-who told you you could hold me this close?!

To be fair, I don't remember anybody forbidding me from it. Besides, who'd be paying close attention to us at the beach?

[And so Athrun takes control of the situation.]

[the_galaxyfairy]

[ At first she was too embarrassed to say anything, but Sheryl never lets anyone take control of a situation without a fight.

And this is Sheryl trying to take it back. Mischievous smile and a teasing touch to his lips. ]

Well Athrun, if you wanted to hold me so much ... you could have just told me ...

[ Cue the strap of her bikini sliding down. ]

Wh-wha -- Sheryl, what are you doing?! We're in public!

[the_galaxyfairy]

[ You are a hundred years too young to play this game with Sheryl, Athrun.

So she laughs and pulls her strap back up and winks. ]

Be careful of what games you are playing with me, Athrun.

[SIGH.]

And here I just wanted to keep you close to me...

[ And Athrun says something she finds embarrassing again ...

... and making her feel guilty. ]

[ What could she do?

She did something she didn't often do. She wraps her arms around his neck quietly. ]

[The look on Athrun's face left further evidence as to how rare this was.]

Sheryl...

[But this was a chance he couldn't pass up, either. Without another word, he gently pressed his lips to hers and poured all the love he had into the kiss.]

[ Not fair, Athrun. Taking advantage of a moment like this. She presses closer and kissed him back.

This was something unusual for him to do as well. They were in a public beach after all. ]

[Even Athrun could be daring every once in a while. And since he had been overacting, he might as well keep it up a bit longer. Besides, he loved Sheryl, and he loved kissing her. What's wrong with that?

Eventually Athrun breaks the kiss. He says nothing, instead opting to give Sheryl a warm, loving smile.]
