[It was a weird concept for Stiles to be laying in bed in the middle of the afternoon on a Monday, but he'd crashed hard after the battle with the nogitsune three days ago, and he still hadn't fully recovered yet. His body was weak and tired, and even now he was paler than usual, which was kind of a feat considering he was normally pale anyway.

Everyone was at Allison's funeral, including his dad and Scott and Lydia, and he felt guilty that he was too tired to make it. He felt guilty about a lot of things these days.

Needless to say, he'd been surprised when Kira had shown up with a bag full of movies, games and comic books awhile ago, right before his dad left. He'd let her in and directed her to Stiles' room and they were currently in the middle of a game of Go Fish. Stiles liked Kira. It was hard not to, really. But if he had to guess, he'd guess that Scott had probably asked her to come over and sit with him during the funeral so he wasn't there alone. He appreciated it, even if it was kind of embarrassing in a way.]

[ kira had been more than happy when she had gotten scott's call. she had been keeping her distance since allison died, she wanted to give everyone time to grieve. she felt useless though, she hated seeing everyone in pain and not being able to do anything about. she hadn't been sure about going to the funeral, she and allison may have fought together but she had never really known the other girl and if she had gone she would have felt as if she had been intruding. so when scott asked if she wouldn't mind keeping stiles company the day of, she had eagerly said yes.

maybe she had come a little over prepared, with the comics and the movies and the games. she even had a few tupperware containers full of goodies (mostly sushi) from her dad. she's determined to keep stiles' mind off the funeral though, and she'll pretty much do whatever it takes to achieve that. she doesn't really know him, but what she does know she likes. besides according to scott the two of them have a lot in common, which is always a good thing it will be nice to not be the only nerd around - not that stiles is a nerd, or maybe he is she doesn't know yet.

[He likes that Kira came over-prepared. And that she's brought so many things that he actually has interest in. Apparently, according to Scott, they have quite a bit in common. Aside from the fact that she is an ass-kicking, sword-wielding ninja in disguise, apparently. Which really didn't surprise Stiles that much. He was pretty sure that all of the girls in his life could pretty easily kick his ass.

But it meant something to him that she could have easily taken her mother's side and killed him instead of working with Scott to save his life. It meant a lot, actually.

Stiles is definitely a nerd. He'd once teased Scott that Scott was the nerd, but it's pretty obvious in his mind which one of them actually owned that title, and it wasn't his best friend. However, when Kira suggests upping the stakes, he's immediately intrigued.]
