[After she hit send on her mobile she realized with horror that she had mis-texted Mycroft with that information instead of one of her friends. She is horrified and just hopes that he ignores it.
Of course he doesn't. He has a bit more social grace than Sherlock, but he is still a Holmes.]
Apologies. Wrong number there. Supposed to go to my friend Millie.
You're right though. Decent men out there I'm sure.
[Tom had been a decent man but of course she mucked that all up as usual.]
[Granted, Mycroft had instantly deduced that the text hadn't been meant for him, but he was at home, alone, and actually a bit bored. Had he been busy, he probably would have ignored it, but as it was, perhaps maybe, just maybe, he was feeling a little bit lonely that evening.
Not that he'd ever willingly admit this to Sherlock, of course. After reading the return text, he smirked ever-so-slightly, then sent another text back with quick, deft fingers.]
It's painfully obvious that you still have feelings for my younger brother. While I will admit that he is much more apt to making friends with people than I am, he would be something of high maintenance. Of course, he trusts you even more than he does me, and dare I say it John, too. However, I am not sure decent would be the right word to describe him.
[Why yes, that was a long text, but it didn't take him long to type it out. Sorry, Molly.]
[Of all the things she could write back to Mycroft, she wasn't sure why she sent that. She supposes maybe she's tired of pretending she's moved on. Clearly no one is buying it anyway. And hadn't that been the problem with Tom? Such a lovely, good, decent man who adored her. But apparently that wasn't enough.]
[She's a bit disgusted with herself for sharing these things with Mycroft of all people. Although if anyone can understand having sentiment for a man like Sherlock, it would be his big brother.]
I'm sure you're aware that Sherlock doesn't express sentiment and affection like ordinary people do. Even if you were 'dating,' that would not guarantee you would feel any less lonely.
Sherlock doesn't feel things the same way you do. He is quite fond of you, that is rather obvious, but a relationship with him would likely prove not to be everything you had hoped it would be.
[He sighs a little, then sends another text.]
You are an intelligent young woman. I know it's terribly cliche, but you deserve better.
[She looks down at the text that's come in from Sherlock, confused. How did he...? She just...oh god, she sent that text to him instead of Sherry. No, no, no. She feels herself flush deep red in complete embarrassment to have shared that with Sherlock. Of all the bloody people!
Apologies. Mis-text. Please ignore.
[Pleasepleaseplease ignore. For once in your life, Sherlock. Just drop it.
[How could he understand? Sherlock's only ever been in a relationship with his cases and maybe his violin. She's not about to taking dating advice from him.]
[She sighs at her phone because damn it, he is right. It makes her annoyed that he can be right even about things he barely knows anything about.
And if he's right then she has to admit that she's in another relationship that isn't working and she'll have to go back to being alone and thinking about Sherlock.]
Then break it off and cast your net again. Though honestly, you have an interesting job and a role solving London's most fascinating crimes; why pursue morons?
[He's so close to getting it. So close. And hasn't yet noticed that all the photos he took of Molly at the wedding feature her front and center.]

My one night stand said I love you, opened my fridge, stole my cream cheese and left.

Why is there no Netflix category for "I just wanna cry, but I don't have time for a whole romcom"?

Then why are you even complaining? Since meeting my brother, it would seem your life has not been nearly as boring.
