Looks like the weather forecast was right; it's absolutely pouring! And most people are complaining about the sudden downpour.
But forget those negative nellies! Just post a comment with your series name and character name as usual, as well as any other notes you wish to add, then pick a prompt using the RNG and get started!
1. OMG RAIN!!!
Rain is just the BEST THING EVER, RIGHT?! Well, that's what you think and you're determined to have a good time. Either going for a walk or splashing through puddles or even just sitting around and getting wet, you're going to milk every second of this rain and drag your friends along for the ride.
2. FUCK YOU, RAIN.
Oh god, it's raining. This just completely ruins your day. Maybe you were planning to go shopping but the roads are still flooded up, or because the school closed thanks to the storm, you need to hire a last minute babysitter for your kids. Whatever the reason for it, you're not pleased about this rain and you don't care what anyone else thinks.
3. RAIN SIEGE
Oh lord, it looks like you're stuck inside. It's raining too hard for you to even think of leaving! Will you make a daring escape in a ridiculous raincoat or will you just give up and watch TV? But what if you run out of snacks? Or the TV reception dies?!
4. A WALK IN THE RAIN
Nothing like the sound of rain beating against your umbrella, right? You don't really care either way about the chaos and even though it's chilly, the one thing you want to do today is head out for a walk in the rain and maybe grab a hot chocolate on the way back.
5. WILDCARD

Every moment they wasted, Sin could be out there, reducing even more homes to rubble... From her chair, Yuna laced her fingers together in her lap, trying her best to keep her thoughts occupied.
2
Well, maybe they'd get to, but he sincerely doubted that.
After pacing several times in an intricate path between all of the chairs, Tidus finally submitted to the death glares a few people were giving him and pulled up one of the chairs across from Yuna.
"Whatcha up to?"
no subject
She let a few moments of silence pass before turning her head slightly in his direction again. "What's the weather like -- in Zanarkand?"
no subject
Yuna's question snapped him out of his contemplations, and he hummed under his breath and thought, grateful for the distraction. "Zanarkand's sunny most of the time. It gets really windy in the B-West, and there are storms, but not that often. It's kind of like Luca's weather! Only not that warm. And the sky's a different shade of blue? It's different somehow." He paused, barely allowing himself to breathe, his hands in the air as if trying to compare the two. "And yeah, it rains, but usually for shorter periods of time and rarely like this. And if it did rain like this, you can rent or buy these things that will generate a small forcefield over your head. And there are tarps and stuff too but those are more popular."
no subject
"Really? Little forcefields?" Fascinating! Maybe it worked like something like Shell... She shook her head allowing her imagination to briefly run wild. "I've never heard of anything like that before. Well, we have tarps of course but that's about it." Yuna turned briefly back to the window again, with a bit of a frown. "It doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon, does it?"
no subject
"What do you usually like to do on rainy days?" He turned back to her, hoping to distract her. He wasn't sure, but she seemed pensive. There was no point in worrying over something they couldn't control.
no subject
"There is -- one time I remember -- " the hint of a smile started to return, "there was a great big storm one day. We were all still young -- Lulu, Wakka, Chappu and I. We had spent most of the day at the beach, and hadn't even noticed the clouds rolling in. Before we knew it the rain had started to fall, and there was so much thunder and lighting."
Yuna shifted her weight, as she told the story, looking back over to Tidus, "We couldn't make it back to the village, we could barely see one another. But eventually we found a cave and... even though I think all of us had reason to be scared... we found shelter in one of the caves nearby, and spent the whole night together, just the four of us," she beamed a little at the last part. It wasn't always easy getting away with things like that, growing up under the watchful eyes of the temple. "I remember Lulu scolding the boys that they hadn't made the fire right, and that they were going to be responsible if it went out -- " apparently, she couldn't help herself from laughing at her own reminiscence. "The rain didn't let up all night but... I don't think any of us really minded, in the end."
no subject
Awkwardly scratching the back of his head, he was about to ask if that was the case when he noticed the slight shift in mood and subject. "Yeah...?" He asked once, leaning forward and perking up in interest. He found himself smiling more the longer she kept talking, trying to picture it in his head. He couldn't define all of the details, but he could imagine the urgency, mixed with the thrill of breaking the rules once shelter had been found. "No way! That sounds just like Lulu." He started laughing loudly, hardly discouraged when he heard Yuna's own amusement. He felt like he had made a sort of victory by hearing her laugh. With the way things were, both of them could use more of it. By the time Yuna finished, he was beaming. "Sounds like you had a lot of fun. But sleeping in a cave! That must have been, well, with the fire and the others there it must have been okay. Did the fire go out?" he added as an afterthought, wondering to himself if that cave was still there.
no subject
"The priests certainly weren't happy with us once we were found but... those are days that I don't think I would have traded for anything..."
no subject
"They must have usually been pretty strict, huh?" He was starting to tune the constant pounding of the rain out.
no subject
Pushing herself up quickly from her seat, she leaned against the sill clearing some of the condensation with a hand as she looked out. "Do... do you see that?"
Off in the distance, obscured by the darkness of the overcast sky, she could swear it was the outline of a person near the riverbank...
no subject
"All I see is a bunch of water. And more water falling from the--Is that a person?!"
He had to look for a moment longer before he was sure. Yep. It was definitely someone out there. He used the palms of his hands to bounce away from the window, swaying back and forth on his heels.
"We should go see if they're okay."
