The KIDNAPPED meme
The K I D N A P P E D Meme
Has your character ever been spirited away against their will? Either dragged out for a night on the town by a friend, or forcibly tied up and stuffed into a duffle bag by a masked stranger and whisked away to a dark abandoned warehouse? No? Well now's your chance. Whether you want to play out something silly, fluffy, sexy, or even a little on the dark side, this is the meme for you!
The rules:
1) Post with your characters and put their names and fandoms in the subject line.
2) Reply to other characters and either roll with the RNG to pick a number, or if you'd prefer, just pick one that you really want to play out.
3) The person replying is now kidnapping the person who originally posted. Play out the scenario and have fun.
4) If there are any scenarios you don't want to do, make a note of it. If someone doesn't want to do a scenario that you really want to do, please respect their wishes.
5) Don't be shy! Try tagging with someone new!
The Scenarios:
1) Friendly Kidnap: Your friend has come around to take you out, and they're not taking no for an answer. Whether it's for a movie, drinks, or shopping you really don't seem to have much of a choice...
2) Romantic Kidnap: Similar to the above, but replace friend with lover. You've noticed your lover seems a bit down, or maybe you just want some time with them. In any case, go out and get them! It's not like they have anything better to do right?
3) Tough Love Kidnap: Your student/friend/lover/charge/random acquaintance has been ignoring their training/studies/duties and spending too much time monkeying about. Normally you can tolerate it, but today is the last straw. It's time to go out, haul them to where they actually need to be, and watch them like a hawk until they do what they need to. You may need to... restrain them to make sure they don't get away...
4) Kinky Kidnap: It's time to spice up your love life. You read somewhere that some couples enjoy kidnap fantasies with their lovers, especially those that enjoy bondage. So grab your fuzzy cuffs, silk blindfolds and riding crops, it's time for a sexy kidnapping. Either tell your lover, or leave it a surprise. OR, maybe this person isn't your lover at all, but someone you've admired from a distance and want to finally make yours whether they want it or not? Either way, have fun. NOTE: This scenario has a very high likelihood of going into NC-17 smut territory. If you don't want smut for your character, or if you'd rather not do this scenario altogether, please make a note of it.
5) Srs Bsns Kidnap: Time to put your ski mask and black leather gloves on, you're kidnapping this person for srs. Maybe they're from a rich family and you want the ransom money. Maybe you're kidnapping them for political reasons. Maybe they're your enemy and you're trying to get them out of the way. Maybe you're a psycho and want to kidnap them just cause. Or hell, maybe this is a college prank? Either way, get your burlap sack out and clean out the trunk of your car, you have some live merchandise to transport. NOTE: This scenario could potentially contain triggers for violence or mindfuck (or it could just as possibly be cracky and fun). If this is not your cup of tea, please make a note of it.
6) DIY Kidnap: Don't like any of these scenarios? Make your own!
Claudia Donovan | Warehouse 13 | OTA
Claudia <3 Also 5 (thanks to an artifact)
Pete and Myka were out on a mission, so it had fallen to Artie to go out and investigate some odd happenings just a few hours from the Warehouse. He'd insisted that Claudia stay here and work on her chores, and that he could handle himself just fine. And when he talked to her later that evening, he assured her that he'd been able to recover the Artifact, and everything was fine.
Which didn't really explain why, on arriving back at the Warehouse, he'd knocked Claudia out, and now had her tied up in the back of the truck as he drove through the 'streets', towards God-knew-what.
ARTIE. And I've only seen S3 because I splurged and bought it on iTunes. So worth it.
"Uh... Artie," she starts, carefully. "Please tell me this is another one of your 'You've got 15 ways to escape, please note the spatula' lessons. Which are quite insightful! Really! Only, heh, funny thing: the spatula appears to be missing." Worry. Her tone of voice is full of it. "Could I bother you for a hint? Or a lifeline? ...Phone a friend?"

He makes a turn down an aisle, heading carefully through rows of Egyptian Artifacts, including a blue lapis lazuli scarab that scurried across the shelf as they walked by. Artie muttered irritably and stopped the vehicle to spritz it and put it back in its place. "Everything out of order, dropping everything like I didn't have anything better to do..." he mutters. And as he walks back to the driver's seat, is that some piece of clothing hanging out of one of his coat pockets?
no subject
Watching him carefully, she takes the opportunity when he's momentarily distracted by the scarab to struggle in her bonds a little, attempting to find some sort of weak point, or see if she could reach her Farnsworth. No such luck. She does, however, notice the glimpse of something hanging out of his coat pocket. Artifact, maybe? ...Too bad her hands are kind of tied. Literally.
And now she's reached her silence limit. "C'mon Artie, this is so not cool, where are we even going? And, hey, I'm not.. always trouble. I help! And I do what you ask me to... Mostly."
no subject
"We're going home, of course. To where you decided to run away from for...this is what, the fifth time now? You know, some of us have actual work to do, Claudia. Your mother was worried sick!"
no subject
"...Right. My, uhm... Mother. Which would make you my... father?" She hazards a guess.
no subject
He pulls up to the front door and gets out, taking out a tesla and pointing at her as he unties her feet. "Into the house, Claudia. It's getting close to dinnertime."
no subject
Oh, hey. A thought. She turns to look at Artie. "So, uh... You know, would probably be best if I had use of my hands to eat, right? Don't you think you should maybe go ahead and untie them, too?"
no subject
Of course, there are all sorts of helpful tools for escaping in the kitchen. In the meantime, A rtie seems to be relaxing a little (despite the Tesla and the fact he hasn't untied her), and his mind's drifting over his day. He'd gone out and retrieved an Artifact, Claudia was taken care of...not a bad day.
Hm, what had the Artifact been? He couldn't remember...it'd come to him.
no subject
While aware that her silence might be kind of suspicious, it takes her a minute to think of what to say. "So..." She'll just have to wing it. "Mom home? You said she was worried. But she couldn't have been too worried about me if she's not even here to welcome me home." She is kind of curious who "mom" is, in Artie's current delusional mindset, anyway.
no subject
"I'll call her in a minute."
no subject
Wow, this job is tough when you've only got people working against you and not with you. Still. She's a big girl. She can handle it. Just... maybe mentioning it would be a good idea after all.
"Maybe. Maybe she's out looking for me. Could be." She walks away from the wall, slowly moving toward the coat he'd just set down. No. Sudden. Movements. "Hey... What's that you got shoved into your coat pocket there? Wooouldn't happen to be the artifact you were hunting, would it?"
no subject
My child...my Claudia...they want to take her from me...my child...by baby...my child...
no subject
no subject
"No! I will not let them take you!"
no subject
"No one is taking me, what are you talking about!?"
Her first instinct is to grab something to try and defend herself with, but second instinct tells her - hey, remember how the knife set him off? Yeah, maybe better not to fight.
no subject
"I won't let them take you, Claudia. We have to stay together." And if the only alternative is to have her taken...maybe they'd both be better dying here.
[OOC: It's so cool to see WH-13 players around. Do you have an AIM or MSN, btw?]
no subject
Wait... She doesn't have to get to the painting, though. The door in the hallway behind her won't lead her outside, but it will send her back to the opposite end of the hallway, from where she can reach the kitchen.
She doesn't hesitate. Once the plan forms in her mind, she turns and runs. Fortunately, she knows for a fact that she's faster than him. Unfortunately, her plan pretty much breaks down once she gets to the kitchen. She's not sure where to go from here, and by instinct grabs the nearest object to defend herself with before Artie catches up to her... which just so happens to be Artie's forgotten Tesla. "Stop it! This isn't YOU, Artie!"
[OOC: Sort of just assumed since he had the knife in one hand and the coat in the other, that he'd put down the Tesla at some point. Also, sorry for the lateness, was actually watching an episode from season 2 with my sister. And yes, I do have AIM, it's on my profile~ It's hesladyfabulous. XD]
no subject
Artie hadn't chased her directly. She was much faster than him, but he could cut her off...He catches up with her in the kitchen. "Don't worry, Claudia...everything will be all right." Which doesn't sound at all like Artie, and is also not particularly plausible when he's holding a knife like that and heading towards her.
no subject
"You suck at being reassuring!" She flicks her gaze down to the Tesla quickly, just to make sure it's set at a low enough level not to be lethal, then shoots before he can reach her.
Sure, she feels bad for having to do it; she would have much preferred just to handcuff him to something like she did the last time he was affected by an artifact. Unfortunately, that's not really an option this time.
no subject
And that hits his square in the chest, leaving him to fall hard on the floor, the knife clattering away from him. He'd fallen half on top of the child's coat, but he was very definitely out for the count.
no subject
Step one: Using a letter opener, cut the artifact-y painting in order to escape the house. Step two: Obtain goo from nearest neutralizing station. Step three: Return to imposter B&B with neutralizer and gloves, and...
Oh, right. He's on top of the coat.
"Fantastic," she whispers under her breath, setting the neutralizer container down and moving closer to her unconscious boss. When she reaches the knife, she kicks it farther away, so that it slides underneath the fridge, where it's pretty much irretrievable. "Don'twakeupdon'twakeupdon'twakeup," she murmurs, cringing slightly as she inches closer... She grabs hold of the edge of the coat (thankfully having remembered to don the gloves), and pulls, gingerly.
It doesn't budge. She's not surprised. "I swear we're getting you a treadmill when this is over." Hesitantly, she gives Artie a nudge, trying to get him to roll off of the coat so she can throw it in the neutralizer. "Come onnn..."
no subject
no subject
She has an idea. She's going to get yelled at for it, she knows this, but it's not like she has many options left. So, leaving Artie where he is, she goes back to the neutralizer container and opens it before returning to Artie's side with it. Thinking the idea through again, she looks down at him, and ultimately makes her decision.
"I'd apologize in advance, but after the creepy knife stuff? This'll probably be something of a catharsis." She dumps the goo over man and artifact. And she was right: it does indeed make her feel better.
