OVER A DRINK

1. Post with your character. 2. You're at a bar. What kind of bar? Any kind you want. From fantasy taverns where various species mingle to futuristic space bars where half the drinks will probably kill you, or even an an overly kistch themed place where everything is overpriced, it's all good as long as there are drinks and company. 3. Respond to other characters. Perhaps you want to buy them a drink. Or perhaps you're inclined to be bought a drink. Maybe you saw someone you knew, or maybe you just want someone to talk to. Could be there's nowhere else to sit, and could be you want to drag them out to dance. 4. Get drunk. Or don't! Be the guest, or the bartender, or the newcommer, or even the janitor. Mingle, make friends, or lurk in a corner. 5. They say alcohol lowers one's inhibitions. Might just be time to find out how much.

[It's just another night at Tapper's! What sort of characters is Vanellope going to be able to bother this time?]

[ oh look, it's Queen Elsa, the final boss of that Ice Scalers game that got brought in a couple weeks back. in her hand, she nourishes a glass of root beer, and though she's been sitting there for quite some time now, the ice cubes in it have yet to even begin to melt.

she's alone, and nobody seems to have any intention of coming near her. the entire bench she's sitting at is empty.

well, she does kind of give off a cold air.

but then she notices the little girl with candy in her hair, and leans forward to speak to her with an unexpectedly pleasant smile. ] Aren't you a bit young to be here?

[ Well, thankfully Vanellope had no qualms about just walking up to strangers to bother them. Though she has to admit, this lady gave off the kind of air that makes her think twice about nosing into her business. Only twice though, and she ends up sliding next to her anyway. Elsa's question isn't anything she hasn't heard before, either, so she patently rolls her eyes. ]

Try an' say that again after you've been to my game, sister. We've got a mountain that spits out diet coke, I think I can handle a bit of root beer!

It's more the company than the drinks that I'm concerned about. [ a small smile tugs at her lips, as if laughing at a private joke. does that include her company? oh, it absolutely does. ] You're from Sugar Rush, aren't you?

[gonnaraceit]

[She's not really afraid of anyone around here. The arcade is usually like a big family! And Tapper knows to keep an eye on this precocious president when she's around, especially when Ralph isn't here to make sure she doesn't get into too much trouble.]

Yup! Born and raised! ... Sort of, anyway.

What about you! Don't think I've seen you around here before. You new?

[icewalls]

[ a raise of the eyebrow: ] Sort of?

Oh, yes, I am. We just got plugged in the other week -- "Ice Scalers". [ she tips her head slightly to the side. ] My name's Elsa.

[gonnaraceit]

Sort of. I mean, we're not really born-born, y'know? I wasn't programmed with backstory going that far. [ She shrugs. Racing games don't really have that sort of detail, after all. ]

But ooh, Ice Scalers! Are you guys the one near the claw game 'round front? I see you from Sugar Rush all the time! Very cool. [ Vanellope grins brightly because! It's funny, see! She said their game was cool, and their game was made of ice.....!! ]

[icewalls]

Mm, yes, I suppose your genre hardly necessitates it. [ her own backstory extends quite far -- princess born with unexplainable powers, destined to bring icy devastation upon the land -- but of course that sort of thing would vary. ]

Right, that's us. [ a lopsided smirk. cool. she gets it. very impressive. ] And you don't mind that I'm the boss?

[gonnaraceit]

[ Vanellope shrugs. ] Unless you're actually some kinda freaky, evil, power hungry lady? Nah, not really. You seem cool.

[ She gives Elsa a look. ] Do you mind, though? Ralph goes to this Bad Anon thing every Wednesday over at Pac-Man, am I gonna have to send you over?

[icewalls]

Well, I'd like to think not. I do freeze things, though. [ that part is perfectly accurate. as evident by the faint pattern of frost up the sides of her glass where her hands are touching. ]

[ she blinks. ] -- Is that a thing?

[gonnaraceit]

It's a thing! It's for Bad Guys who need help figuring out they're not actually bad guys. [ She's not doing a very good job of explaining, is she? Oh well. She has more important things to focus on, like... ]

But that's amazing! Ice powers, huh? That must be awesome to have, all the time!
