The cat came back...

Life is going on as usual, when suddenly - kittens. They're everywhere.

Babies! C'mere you little lovely bubbly wubblies!

[Of course Fa also realizes that there are cats in the room, but not before acknowledging a more important pair of lovely bubbly wubblies.]

She may have to come retrieve the ladies herself, as K is on the floor with kittens and, you know, KITTENS.

K looks up, a cat on her chest and another couple stepping on her spleen. "Is this your doing?!"

Fa raises both hands skyward, a gesture of confused innocence. Then again, her smile seems less than innocent so... it's going to be a draw for now. Instead, she settled herself butt-down on the floor next to K, crooning to one intrepid kitten brave enough to hop up into her lap. "I wish my kittens were this friendly," she laments.

"Yes, these little fellows are remarkably friendly," she agreed, halfway through the phrase lapsing into a croon directed at the one on her chest, who has unsteadily toddled up to butt noses with her. "Aren't you though. Oooooh."

Being careful to lift any intransigent kittens out from between them, Fa takes her cue to smush in next to the redhead, snuggling just about as friendly-like as any wee little feline. "We should see about whorling a few more of our huntercats," she lists nostalgic, smiling brightly up from Kay's shoulder. It's a bit ridiculous, her being a head and a half taller than the little fire elemental, but she still likes to be the little spoon when she can and even in this position Fa better enjoys resting her head on the other woman's shoulder!

"I wonder if it's allowed to ask for super-friendly hunter cats?" Kay laughed, turning her head to nuzzle Fa's hair -- but turning back quickly enough when the grey kitten on her chest mewled for the sudden lack of attention! "Maybe we can just find a way to take these guys home." Another had climbed onto Fa in the meantime, a little black kitten with a squeaky mew.

"Hmm," Fa considered, taking the wee black kitten in a single hand and stroking its tiny head with a single finger. When it began to purr and its eyes began to droop ecstactically, she turned her attention back to Kay and grinned deviously.

Pointing her pinkie finger at the grey kitten mewling for more attention (and competing with Fa, really!) she murmured a single word.

"There, now you can take at least one!" She grinned up at the redhead, doofy and pleased with herself.

Kay watched with round eyes, and then cackled, enough to startle the small bevvy of kittens but thankfully not cause any of them to do more than puff up in the most adorable of ways. "You are the cleverest, my most brilliant of gorgeous darlings!" she cooed at Fa, turning her head to nuzzle the other woman again.

They grey kitten mewed plaintively, as if feeling its sudden transfer to the digital. Kay mewed back, and then added in more human terms, "maybe you can keep poor Re'e company."

Once the lot of the bundle of kittens had been soothed sufficiently, the women had a chance to be surprised again when the be-wheeled Re'e appeared of her own accord!

It looked as though she was already on it, though the grey kitten was shocked and highly playful over the strange matron queen's cybernetic attachments (a fancy word for training wheels!)

K claps and squeaks with glee, trying not to be too loud for the sake of the skittey kittens! Now that the grey kitten is firmly occupied elsewhere she takes the opportunity of free hands to wrap arms around Fa's waist, just snuggle the shit out of her. "Like a goddamn house on fire!"

Another couple of kittens, in the meantime, are worming their way into the newly-formed cuddle happening between Fa and K. Another little black one ends up flopping right in the crack between K's arms and Fa's middle. Love for all!

Fa has to carefully check that either of the black kittens are not secretly Agate, given that they are having a spat at the moment and he is not completely unlikely to use tactics such as transforming into a handful adorable black kitten to supplant the blonde lady in K's attention. Purile tactics... but then, Fa had used them herself once or twice, even if she hadn't done so maliciously!

Confirming that they are just what they say on the tin, Fa opens up the cuddle a little to allow the kittens room to romp. One of them worms its way northward until it's right in their faces. Good thing they aren't allergic, truly! The only problem is that the black one has put its face to Kay, which means that Fa has a face full of kitten rump. Glergh!

She scoops the kitten around and gives it a bit of a nose kiss, then sets it gently near the crown of their heads. "Shh, baby," she advises.

K had been busy cooing at the kitten before Fa stole it and she protests lightly... but got another look at Re'e and the new grey ghost of a kitten and cackles instead, derailed and pleased by the sight of the new little guy chasing the wheeled cat's tail with kittenish abandon.

Leans back and sighs, settling her cheek against Fa, she admits, "this is the liiiife."

"We could do this more often," Fa suggests, grinning brightly. "Wanna tag around with me elsewhere? Agate always gets your attention for the big stuff."

"Well, for you~" she purred, nuzzling again. "What did you have in mind, delicious? Want to meet up in the dressing room?"

"I'm on it like jam on toast," Fa replies laughing. In the meantime, she scoops up the nearest kitten -- the original black handful of cuddlesome -- and brings it up to her face to smooch and love on. This is background, but it's a good background.

There is an ancient saying that goes something like, 'kittens make everything better'. A remarkably accurate piece of antiquity, it trends true both in the sense that kittens alleviate the deepest of emotional agonies, as well as that they add value and beauty to any given situation.

There is also a certain graph which sketches eloquence vs. proximity to cat. Of the two, that's the one that Kay is demonstrating with flair and pleasure!
