i WHERE:
001 PLAYGROUND - Well, you can try to hide under the slide or maybe in the jungle gym... at least you're some place fun?
002 PARK - Always happens, caught outside trying to take advantage of the weather... and it ends up pulling a fast one on you.
003 STORE FRONT - Better hope they have an awning you can take advantage of
004 THE BEACH - Not exactly the best place to be during a rainstorm, however it is possible to get caught in a sudden storm
005 WILD CARD - Anyway you want it
ii HOW:
001 TREE - Not the best cover, but it'll have to do, stay close to the roots and you won't get too wet.
002 UMBRELLA - Most conventional... Kinda boring. But it works.
003 NEWSPAPER - Not permanent, but it'll have to do. Good luck
004 BAG - Well... y'gotta do what you gotta do.
005 NONE - You know what. You're a rebel. You don't need cover. Screw convention
006 WILD CARD - that's the way you need it
iii WHY:
001 REJECTED - Welp. Rejection sucks. And no one will see you crying in the rain.
002 WAITING - For the bus? For someone else? For some revelation? What are you waiting for.
003 MELANCHOLY - Sometimes the best place to feel a bit down is out in the rain.
004 HAPPINESS - Is everything going your way? Are you singing a refrain while walking down the lane? Just singin. Singin' in the rain.
005 ANGER - WELL YOU KNOW WHAT. SCREW YOU TOO RAIN.
006 WILD CARD - Anyway you want it.

Because we needed another one....
Not wanting to seem ungrateful for risking so much to bring him here, he'd told the Knave he was going to take a walk. Or more like a wander.
When it started to rain, Cyrus oddly found it fitting. And he was glad for the warm clothes Granny had lent him. While he couldn't get sick, being a genie and all, he still felt temperature changes and that chill that rain always seemed to bring. He knew he should return to the Knave's flat...but he just couldn't bring himself too. Not yet. So he kept wandering, taking in the new world that was his current refuge from Jafar.

The best thing to do was to let him wander around, get used to the place. Cyrus would feel a little more comfortable and he could get his wreck of an apartment somewhat presentable.
As time went on, the Knave got more and more fidgety and when he glanced out the window and saw how dark the sky was getting, he decided to hell with waiting. He fished an umbrella out from the closet and hurried outside, hoping he could find the genie before the storm broke.
After a couple minutes of looking around, he caught sight of Cyrus and waved. "Oi! Cyrus!"

"Hello, master mine," he said in a fond but soft tone. "I think I got a little turned around." He ducked under the awning of a store front, taking the Knave's arm to draw him under as well. "Was I gone long? I didn't mean for you to come looking..."

"No, no," he said quickly, wanting to reassure Cyrus. "I looked out and saw how dark it was getting and thought I'd come to the rescue with an umbrella."

He chuckled and kissed the Knave on the cheek. "My knight in shining rain coat. Thank you." Looking back out into the rain, he couldn't help the melancholy feelings from overtaking him again. "I just got lost in thought I suppose."

Food sounded good though. As did something warm to drink. "Can she make that sweet drink Mary Margaret made for us? Hot chocolate wasn't it?"

It was impressive how they had managed, the Knave had to admit. It certainly evened the playing field between those who had it and those without - not that it mattered much now with the curse broken and magic back.

"Then we stay," the Knave answered, kissing Cyrus's cheek. "Granny's is probably packed anyway. We can stay here, wait it out... maybe see a rainbow if we're lucky."

He could learn to like the rain.
"I think I like this idea very much." He smiled despite himself. "I'm begging to think Storybrooke is not so bad."

"And, you know, I'm here so it's even better now."

He knew it was a long shot, but maybe Jafar wouldn't find them here and they could stay in peace.
"Yes. It's perfect."

"It's funny," he said quietly. "I never thought I'd... feel happy."

"It's been a long time since I felt like a person again." Words such as those deserved words in kind in return. Soft confessions in the rain.

But his heart was back in Wonderland, buried in a chest six feet under the old caravan and there was no going back for it now.
He didn't know what to say, what he should say so he simply pulled Cyrus in for a kiss.

No words were probably best as Cyrus got exactly what he needed to hear from the kiss. He turned to clutch, almost desperately, to the Knave's leather coat, not wanting it to end.
