i WHERE:
001 PLAYGROUND - Well, you can try to hide under the slide or maybe in the jungle gym... at least you're some place fun?
002 PARK - Always happens, caught outside trying to take advantage of the weather... and it ends up pulling a fast one on you.
003 STORE FRONT - Better hope they have an awning you can take advantage of
004 THE BEACH - Not exactly the best place to be during a rainstorm, however it is possible to get caught in a sudden storm
005 WILD CARD - Anyway you want it
ii HOW:
001 TREE - Not the best cover, but it'll have to do, stay close to the roots and you won't get too wet.
002 UMBRELLA - Most conventional... Kinda boring. But it works.
003 NEWSPAPER - Not permanent, but it'll have to do. Good luck
004 BAG - Well... y'gotta do what you gotta do.
005 NONE - You know what. You're a rebel. You don't need cover. Screw convention
006 WILD CARD - that's the way you need it
iii WHY:
001 REJECTED - Welp. Rejection sucks. And no one will see you crying in the rain.
002 WAITING - For the bus? For someone else? For some revelation? What are you waiting for.
003 MELANCHOLY - Sometimes the best place to feel a bit down is out in the rain.
004 HAPPINESS - Is everything going your way? Are you singing a refrain while walking down the lane? Just singin. Singin' in the rain.
005 ANGER - WELL YOU KNOW WHAT. SCREW YOU TOO RAIN.
006 WILD CARD - Anyway you want it.

Gipsy Danger | Pacific Rim
I'll let you pick the numbers~
{Hello, beautiful.}oh hey handsome
4/2/3 I'm an angst monger, can't help myself. XD;;
Instead of running, he found himself taking the elevator to the deep of the Shatterdome and out one of the base doors. He climbs across the rocks with an umbrella hooked on his arm under the towering piers and makes it to sand that wasn't turned to blue by the run-off from Raiju's death.
He's already wet from the spray of the waves, but he pops the umbrella anyway. If nothing else, Mako will be able to tell where he's at if she looks down from the deck at him. He's half expecting a repeat of Knifehead, and Yancy's ghost to bring Gipsy Danger home, crash landing on the beach.
me too 8] something a la the doctors wife, or an 'always humanoid' kind of thing? got a pref?
Gipsy detonated, that much she was entirely aware of. It had hurt, briefly - but how could she do anything but self destruct? The preservation of her pilots and of humankind was first and foremost - it was programmed into her mainframe, into the very heart of her entire being.
It wasn't just duty, though -- duty because that's what she'd been made to do, been told to do. No.
It was out of love, too - because oh, Gipsy Danger did so love her pilots. She loved humanity, too, but her pilots - they were beautiful, flawed and tragic and wonderful in their own ways and giving her life for them, so that they may live -- it was no choice.
It was simply what must be done.
After the blast, there had just been darkness. Cold, unforgiving darkness, until now.
Now, she stumbles onto the beach on her hands and knees, socked with ocean water and slimy, toxic blood from the kaiju, hands shaking and her entire body trembling.
It's his name she screams.
Raleigh! ]
I was going on the idea that Raleigh hasn't seen humanoid!GD before but feel free to play it however
Hallucination or not he's moving towards her. She's in his head more than Mako, or even Yancy's imprint. It's the drift and fifteen aching minutes to shore with one arm and one pilot. He drops the umbrella and strips off his coat, unsure whether to wrap her in it, or try to wipe off the kaiju blue.}
My name--{He had heard her. Her name is there on his tongue, but he can't quite bring himself to say it. He shouldn't be allowed to after everything. He'd abandoned her twice.}
cool that's where I was heading with it :|b just checking
But then he's there, answering her siren song and looking terribly awkward with his jacket.
Oh, her precious Raleigh Becket. ]
Raleigh. [ She informs him, since it seems he's forgotten it. ]
Raleigh Becket.
Awesome, sorry I didn't understand the reference to the Doctor's wife
She calls his name, and for a moment his arm seizes up and he's falling to his knees on the sand- he's falling through the Breach. She is always there with him.}
Gipsy Danger.
{His voice is just as reverent and disbelieving as it was when Mako reintroduced him.}

Oh, Raleigh.
[ She sinks down with him in the sand, a small smile on her face before she's reaching for him, gathering him right up into her strong arms. ]
My pilot.
Ugh, my feelings. He loves you Gipsy Danger ;A;
I'm sorry-so sorry...
{He can't apologize for doing it, because he saved Mako, and the rest of the world, but he can apologize for the necessity of having to do it and offer her the immense regret in his chest.}
she loves you too raleigh becket ;_;
[ She gathers him right up, pulls him close and strokes his head, murmuring nonsensical little things against his hair as her eyes slide shut. She knows, love, she knows. ]
It’s alright, I’m here. I’ve got you.

How she's human, and God, maybe shorter than him. It seems like a crime for her to be a human's size.}
You're alive.
{More than just the sense of a third presence he and Yancy had whispered about from their bunks. She was flesh and blood, holding him.}
How is this possible--the Breach?
{He'd left her beyond it. All the way through it.}
no subject
[ Shorter indeed. Gipsy might be five feet five inches now, at the most. It's certainly an odd experience, having fingers and toes and strange, tingling sensations spreading through her limbs - hot blood, maybe, she isn't quite sure. Perhaps Newt will have some insight, or maybe even Tendo. Perhaps it's coolant; man and machine merged. Gipsy honestly doesn't know. ]
I am.
[ Alive, breathing, holding her wonderful, flawed, perfect pilot. ]
The Breach... [ She trails off, tracing her fingers over his temple. ]
Perhaps. It was a strange phenomenon no one truly understood. [ Atomic in nature. She holds up her hand again, nails tinged by the kaiju blue. ] A fusion? Regardless. I am here, for you.
no subject
{He is one hundred percent certain of that. Just as certain as he is that she's going to give it to him anyway.}
Do you want to go into the dome or--?
{Once she went in there would be people poking and prodding at her and wanting to know how she happened to return to them. His chest seized a little on the inside at the thought of Geizler wanting to take her apart, or even just taking samples..}
We could--{They could run. Find transport away from Hong Kong, but it was her choice...and he wasn't sure they could leave Mako behind.}
no subject
[ That one comes a bit sharper, because Raleigh Becket will always, always have a place in her heart and she will never turn him away. How could she? He is part of her, a piece of her soul. They're inexorably twined together until the end of their days, when their bodies stop functioning and they simply cease to exist.
She is his, forever. ]
We can't.
[ They can't run, can't leave Mako. Mako is part of Gipsy too, as small a piece as it is for the time being. ]
It'll be alright. [ She hopes. ]
no subject
Inside then.
{Gipsy needed clothes and medical attention, so he carefully hooked his better arm under hers and helped her to her feet. He could carry her, if she needed him too, but he knew the power of going places on your own abilities. He tried not to think about how small she was pressed up against his side.}
no subject
This is going to take some getting used to.
[ She says it out loud as they amble back, expression a bit rueful and curious and a little bit apprehensive.
Not afraid, no - not Gipsy, but certainly a tad nervous, especially when they draw closer to the 'Dome. ]
no subject
{He holds her close, and for all that she's only nervous, Raleigh has enough terror for both of them. She's too soft in his arms, all curves and real flesh beneath his jacket. No clothes--and he thinks about the way so many people are going to look as she goes through the dome. She deserves better than that, so he pauses, helps her back to the ground for a moment and strips his sweater off. He's got a tank on and he's pretty sure it'll swallow her enough to cover her up.
He hands it over gently tugging it on over her head.}
It'll be easier, walking through the 'dome if you've got something on.
no subject
But she will weather it; she has her pilots and they have her, and all will be well. ]
...Ah.
[ She lets him slip in on over her and he's right, it dwarfs her and she smiles up at him, black hair mussed and tangled, tinged with blue though her lips are as red as ever. ]
Is that better?
no subject
He rubs his hand over his face and wonders if this is what it would have felt like to watch Jazmine have a partner if they hadn't both disappeared from the face of the earth.}
It'll have to do.
no subject
[ She nods and straightens up, leaning on him just a little because her human legs are wobbly and she isn't used to controlling them on her own. She takes baby steps, careful, precise movements that ensure she gets used to the feeling lest she crumple in a pile. She pulls on vage memories of how the Becket's walked, and she leans towards Yancy's posture - Raleigh's swagger felt a bit...much.
She tips her head and rests it on his shoulder; she's as tactile as he is, needing the contact and heat that he put off as a sign that this was, in fact, real. ]
no subject
He holds her close and tightly as they move thinking about where he'd be able to get some clothes for her. Maybe the Russian techs would still have some of Sasha's things. He doesn't think the Russian pilot would have objected sharing her clothing with a jaeger, and Mako's clothing probably wouldn't fit quite right around Gipsy's obvious curves.
He doesn't know where to start. Does she have things she wants to try as a human? Can she feel Yancy rattling around in her head like he can? There's so much to ask, but at the same time, he feels like it's unfair and he's got her at an extreme disadvantage.}
no subject
It's surreal.
She holds on to Raleigh's arm like he is a life raft keeping her afloat and in many ways, that is precisely what he is doing. Without his support she would fall, and she would never be able to survive the oncoming storm. ]
